I went back and rewatch the episodes and couldn’t help but think back to the flash back scene where the brother gave Xiao Duo cherries and said a lady gave it to him as a reward. I wonder if it’s empress Rong’an or Yinlou’s mom.

I love how it shows some cute scenes from the novel like the pear tree, the flower falling on her head, and now the acupuncture part on the boat. 🥰 In the novel she actually drives him crazy, but he doesn’t show it. Drama Xiao Duo is a little more nicer than Novel Xiao Duo. Novel Xiao Duo is a little more aggressive in my opinion.

He’s cute when he’s jealous. “Would’ve been better if she’s actually rude.” 😂

The fact that Xiao Duo agreed to be by Bu Yin lou’s side to argue along with her mother was touching for some reason. She ain’t alone, but she doesn’t want to rely on him, and I like that. Maybe in the later episodes she will 🤔

If an uncut version is released, I would watch it.

Exactly it wasn’t the tree but it was her shaking his heart. It got me because flowers finally bloomed for him after his brother died. He felt love for the first time you could see it in his eyes.

When he sent her off and asked her if she would miss anything from the imperial city, why does it feel like he’s saying if you miss me, I’ll be there immediately 😂 he looked so butt hurt when she said no.

Yes, the actress is doing great so far. I like how she’s not dumb like other female main leads in most Chinese dramas. By the way this is coming from someone who never watched dramas from neither actor/actresses. This my first time watching Dylan Wang and Chen Yuqi’s drama. I just saw the trailer and thought they clicked, so I decided to watch it, and I’m glad I did.

The pear tree scene was everything…it seems like he fell for her at that point….the way he looked at her and said very beautiful ugh made me smile like an idiot. I’m reading the book, and I feel like the two main leads bring the characters to life. I know not a lot of people like the main actress, but I believe she’s doing great so far. She’s just being realistic. I think they’re a great pair since Xiao Duo needs someone like Bu Yin lou in his life someone who is smart, a little cunning at times and challenges him making him curious, someone who dares to face him, someone who brings out his soft and caring side. She understands him more than he understands himself in my opinion.
