to be honest I felt that it was a very bittersweet ending. The fact that all of these were not real and just created off Myungha's imagination who no longer exists in real life
Apparently some of y'all are bothered by the teacher-student relationship but I feel that the relationship between Sahara and Toki was more of an innocent schoolboy crush/admiration. That sht happens in real life. the author was not sexualizing these characters, but you are
wow spoiler: bl IS a gay love story. what are you even talking about. trying to make bl and gay two different…
Girl, go outside and touch some grass before you accuse people of being xenophobes. Do you even know what that term means? Apparently you're one of those who automatically think that every series featuring two men falling in love are BLs. You ever heard about "queer" stories? BLs all share the same features/tropes and have become so plentiful to the point that they have formed their own genre. Our Dining Table did not align itself with any of those tropes, so I considered it more of a "gay love story between adults" instead of a BL.
Please consume more queer content, not just BLs, and you'll see what I mean.

my God. Where the hell are you even coming from. How did my comment even spoil the story for you. And how did you arrive at the conclusion of me being xenophobic. Seriously, what are you smoking??
i can't even classify it as a BL tbh. more of a gay love story catered to adults. though I have to admit the chemistry between the two leads was lacking. but the performances, the direction and the writing were all topnotch. easily one of my favorites for 2023.
but still i think there are some important plot points that haven't been explored in the series. Minoru's past, for instance.
I think this would make a real nice double-feature with A Shoulder to Cry On as they both give the similar vibes. Tho ASTCO was better imo. A Breeze of Love was full of BL tropes I couldn't take it seriously
im so confused why did AIDI do to jail? like did he take the blame or what?
the way I understood it, his boss was very disappointed at Chen Yi for failing to protect Ze Rui from Zhang Teng, so he was planning to send him to jail as punishment. AiDi found out about this plan before Chen Yi did, and he volunteered to take the punishment in Chen Yi's place
...and why was he part of a gang if he belongs to a wealthy family? So many holes in this story! 🤣
From what I understand Zerui was an illegitimate but really gifted child. So his mother forced him to step aside to let his less-gifted brother shine and inherit the family business. Maybe that’s why he joined the gang, his own way of rebelling against his family.
sooo... what does Ze Rui do for a living? Is he part of a syndicate, a law enforcer, or something else? Might appear to be a stupid question but I genuinely have missed this detail
I watched ep. 1 when it premiered, tbh i didn't find it interesting so i dropped. had nothing to do this weekend, so I gave Taikan Yoho another try. Surprisingly it is quite binge-able once you get past the first ep. However, I can't say that it exceled in any particular aspect. It was an entertaining watch nonetheless.
Anyone read the novel? I can't wait to know what happens to Chen Yi and Ai Di. What's the deal with the girl?…
I believe the girl is Zhang Teng's girlfriend, the one he was speaking with off cam around Ep. 5-8 about going on a trip together. I think she's also the one distributing drugs around in school for him. That's just my hunch but there are sooo many clues scattered around supporting that idea. She worked for Bai Zhongyi thinking that it was him who killed Zhang Teng but when she overheard his conversation with Ai Di in Ep. 12 (hence dropping the glass), she started thinking that it was Chen Yi who killed Zhang Teng, so she shot him.
Just finished watching both S1 and S2. The two had similar vibes, tho S1 is more relaxed and spontaneous, while S2 had too much drama going on that sometimes I can't help but think I am watching a drama instead of a reality show. But still both are good and worth a watch.
My only complaint about S2 is that it doesn't have its own version of laughing sisters from S1, I guess that's why I find S2 more dramatic
I'm late to the party... Can someone summarize all the drama that happened after this season ended? All I picked up so far is that Changmin and Junghyun didn't last (why?), Jeungho and Hyukjun dated but Hyukjun has a BF all along, and that everyone went on a vacation but did not invite Jeungho (also don't know why)
It's far from being among the best ones I've seen this year, but it had its moments. I wish they could've fleshed out the characters of Hyunjae and Simeon better. They kinda remind me of the TharaFrong couple from My Engineer --- the heightened sexual tension was there but for some reason they left us starving. The chemistry between the main cp was real weak, and I wish they could've invested more effort in making Lee Jun attractive enough to be chased by three men. Throughout the series he just looked like a plain, clueless guy. The guy playing Choi Jun was definitely the highlight, I was not really invested in his acting but his killer stares of jealousy were freaking hilarious. And did I mention the strong "choke me daddy" vibes coming from him?
It's weird that every performer in every K-Pop group is called an "idol." This kid's group doesn't make any list…
I understand how pissed off you are based on your comments, but as a long-time watcher of KBLs I learned to just accept it. Korea is not yet ready for total Thai-level smut, but with how things are going, I know that they'll eventually get to that point. We can't rush these things. Even Thai BLs took some time before they started showing total smut, and Korea is still relatively new to the game. And I can't judge J-min based on the lack of intimacy he shows to his screen partner, he had his reasons. The kpop industry is very, very strict when it comes to these things so I understand if a young man such as him would want to protect his career that is yet to come full bloom. But he accepted the role. He still kissed the guy playing Kim An (multiple times even). He even posed for pictures proving his participation in a KBL and let his band's official socmed post it for everyone to see, and I think that's commendable enough. I know a handful of Korean actors who did not even do shit to promote or let their participation in a BL known to the public, those guys are more deserving of your hate.
An underrated gem for 2023, it's a shame this did not get much attention. They could've released it as a separate title completely unrelated to Love Class S1. I'd even rank it along with ULS, T8S and ODS as the best KBLs of the year.
What I liked about it best is that it featuers a completely unknown cast (except for an idol in the lead), it kinda adds some realism into it
