This is the only VBL series that I actually liked lol the screenplay hit the right notes in some spots, production and costume designs are really good, and the acting is above average I guess, especially Chen Wu Ping who played the professor. No rewatch quality really, but it was miles ahead of the other VBL productions.
not finished with it yet, but one I can say about it thus far is --- the second couple syndrome is really strong in this one. wish they'd give Hangyeom and JungHa a separate project, they were really good
if there's one BL that GMMTV ought to remake, it's this one. there's potential in it but apparently they had zero budget. what I loved the most about it is that it shows Bangkok's underbelly instead of its glamorous side. and Tee and Mork's conquest to stay together in a society that absolutely rejects them. and the absolute innocence in the relationship between Morn and Gord. I don't see those qualities anymore in their more recent BLs.
The Krist boycott is to blame here. On the one end we have those people who accuse Krist as homophobic. Just because…
I do feel that GMMTV is making some effort for Gawin to attract more fanfare. But whatever they're doing, it's not effective enough. People just won't bite.
This series is really good, but i never see anyone talking about it,why though?like i have seen not a single sould…
The Krist boycott is to blame here. On the one end we have those people who accuse Krist as homophobic. Just because he said he's not gay, he's automatically homophobic? Lmao. On the other end there are the Peraya stans and you know how crazy these stans can be if they don't get what they want.
There's also the fact that Gawin doesn't seem 'marketable'. Despite being in many BLs throughout his career, participating in FMs and being GMMTV's OST staple, he can't seem to attract a strong fanbase. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but GMMTV seems to be doing something wrong or is lacking something in their quest to push him to the limelight.
to be honest I felt that it was a very bittersweet ending. The fact that all of these were not real and just created off Myungha's imagination who no longer exists in real life
Apparently some of y'all are bothered by the teacher-student relationship but I feel that the relationship between Sahara and Toki was more of an innocent schoolboy crush/admiration. That sht happens in real life. the author was not sexualizing these characters, but you are
wow spoiler: bl IS a gay love story. what are you even talking about. trying to make bl and gay two different…
Girl, go outside and touch some grass before you accuse people of being xenophobes. Do you even know what that term means? Apparently you're one of those who automatically think that every series featuring two men falling in love are BLs. You ever heard about "queer" stories? BLs all share the same features/tropes and have become so plentiful to the point that they have formed their own genre. Our Dining Table did not align itself with any of those tropes, so I considered it more of a "gay love story between adults" instead of a BL.
Please consume more queer content, not just BLs, and you'll see what I mean.

my God. Where the hell are you even coming from. How did my comment even spoil the story for you. And how did you arrive at the conclusion of me being xenophobic. Seriously, what are you smoking??
i can't even classify it as a BL tbh. more of a gay love story catered to adults. though I have to admit the chemistry between the two leads was lacking. but the performances, the direction and the writing were all topnotch. easily one of my favorites for 2023.
but still i think there are some important plot points that haven't been explored in the series. Minoru's past, for instance.
I think this would make a real nice double-feature with A Shoulder to Cry On as they both give the similar vibes. Tho ASTCO was better imo. A Breeze of Love was full of BL tropes I couldn't take it seriously
im so confused why did AIDI do to jail? like did he take the blame or what?
the way I understood it, his boss was very disappointed at Chen Yi for failing to protect Ze Rui from Zhang Teng, so he was planning to send him to jail as punishment. AiDi found out about this plan before Chen Yi did, and he volunteered to take the punishment in Chen Yi's place
...and why was he part of a gang if he belongs to a wealthy family? So many holes in this story! 🤣
From what I understand Zerui was an illegitimate but really gifted child. So his mother forced him to step aside to let his less-gifted brother shine and inherit the family business. Maybe that’s why he joined the gang, his own way of rebelling against his family.
sooo... what does Ze Rui do for a living? Is he part of a syndicate, a law enforcer, or something else? Might appear to be a stupid question but I genuinely have missed this detail
I watched ep. 1 when it premiered, tbh i didn't find it interesting so i dropped. had nothing to do this weekend, so I gave Taikan Yoho another try. Surprisingly it is quite binge-able once you get past the first ep. However, I can't say that it exceled in any particular aspect. It was an entertaining watch nonetheless.
