Great review!! I also noticed how this show was trying to be TW, with the whole plot of travelling to the past to save a loved one, but my god... in TW the characters were really well developed, making more or less logical decisions. like it made sense why the ML wanted to save his dad, it also made sense when he kissed the FL. it wasn't rushed and it wasn't some stupid fan service, it made sense in that moment.
here, on the other hand, I could not figure out why the ML even liked the FL because her only trait was being his fan. she has no other interests, motivations or anything. as u mentioned, her family mattered less to her than the ML. she didn't even have the "not like other girls" personality.
anyways, I dropped it on ep 5 so idk anything about the serial killer and what not.
jeez, people have just as much right to dislike it as yall have to like it. doubt it's because "the awful haters" r creating fake accounts to lower the rating. prob many people waited for drama to finish to start watching it and were unhappy with what they saw. as a result, they rate it low now, weeks after it finished.
It gets resolved quickly, so it's ok.I would be annoyed if it went on for few episodes without finding the truth.
yeah and when u think about it, it doesn't actually have any long-lasting effects. ep10 just shouldn't exist..... I would prefer an additional episode of the whole family happily together instead...

wouldn't he appear on top of the wall cuz there's no space below it? otherwise, he could have sayed for longer in the past so when he comes back to the current time, the whole scene would have already been cleaned up.

My god... I knew that after ep 9, that it's gonna be sad, but it didn't have to be like this.
The series has been going so great until.... this. why did they have to fake kill Do Do Hae in such a horrible way so he becomes depressed and cannot travel back in time anymore. Holy shit this is such a terrible plot. Everything about it is sooo bad. I hate it. And his mom? She's OK with it? She saw how awful it was for him the first time. She basically did lose her son. And now she wants to do it again? How fucking terrible.
The fact that his mom told his sister as well that he will die if he travels back in time to save the FL and asks her to be ok with it? How fucking terrible
This series was a 10/10 and now it just might become a 6.0. My god this plot made me angry. A more messed up take on the "break up for a stupid reason" plot or "we can't be together for a stupid reason" plot.

I remember watching Youth of May, where the main couple couldnt be together because.... the FL thought that it would make more sense for the ML to be with her friend instead, cuz then it would resolve some issues for her friend. Dropped it straight away after this happened.

this was... well. a kdrama. towards the end, I was just skipping thru. no different than any other rich CEO and his poor secretary/worker drama. if this was the first kdrama I've seen, sure I would have given it a high rating. otherwise... 7 at most ðŸ«

yeah, I'm in exactly the same place. I guess, since the drama revolves around a kpop stan whose life revolves around her idol, it attracts a certain type of people, making the comment section here resemble kpop stan twitter, where you either agree or u r the enemy and ur opinion is invalid.
im on episode 2 and I'm already agreeing with many of the point you are making. I don't know what will happen next, but the FL is just whimsical doing whatever to save the ML, disregarding everything else. delulu is not the solulu. her going to the hospital in the wheelchair and then falling in the lil river.... my god, I could only skip that.

there it's about the FL who cannot move on after the death of her fiancé. for years she has been trying to figure out her new life but found it incredibly hard without the person she loved the most. then she discovers a cassette music player which allowed her to go back in time and see him again.
what I liked about the series, is that while her fiancé was her whole world, she still had some backbone and had a life that didn't completly revolve around the ML. she was trying to figure out the whole time travelling thing and what not. she acted as an adult, which was interesting in the highschool setting 😅
for now the ML hasn't done much so can't say much about him.
