Ohhh, you mean the sword the princes were fighting over? Only Xiao Se managed to held it. That sword was also shown in a flashback in Dashing Youth, I think, when Li Hong Yi played the founding emperor . That would make sense , if that's the case , I'm interested in the back story.

Yes, I think so. From the synopsis, it seems like the story is about one of the swords from Blood of Youth. One of the characters in Blood of Youth probably owns that sword, and this drama is telling the backstory behind it.

I’d have to rewatch to remember exactly who it belongs to. But yeah, this one definitely feels like a filler to me. It might even end up being a mini-drama.

The three dramas are set in the same universe but take place in different time periods. If we arrange them by chronological order of events (not by release date), it would be:
• Dashing Youth (2024)
• Dark River (2025)
• Blood of Youth (2022)
• Blood of Youth – Season 2 (TBA)

Dashing Youth and Dark River basically tell the backstories of some older characters from Blood of Youth. For example, we saw Baili Dongjun in Blood of Youth, and in Dashing Youth we get to see his youth and what he went through before becoming the person we know in Blood of Youth.

As for this new drama, I’m honestly not sure why they’re making it. I didn’t even know it was planned. I thought Blood of Youth Season 2 would be next, but it looks like they’re using this as a filler while we wait, since they haven’t even started filming Season 2 yet.
