The scene with Geum Chul's wife was so powerful and everyone seems to kind of ignore it for the main couple's drama which was obviously coming.

It is so refreshing seeing a K-Drama address the struggle of being a mother and being pregnant. I love that she highlighted how husbands have this mentality that pregnancy is the hard part when in reality it is often the easiest part. She acknowledged that after pushing a whole human out of her body she is expected to just smile and breastfeed all the time and work and raise another child as if nothing happened to her body. And she didn't cry and scream in an ungrateful way but just that she wanted a little more acknowledgement and support from him. She doesn't mind being pregnant or a mom but a little personal support and doting would be nice occasionally. She was truly exhausted and frustrated and asking for someone to tie your shoes when your pregnant isn't exactly asking for much especially after he obliviously turned her down for a date which showed she clearly loves him and values their time together. Yes it would be healthier to have a talk about it rationally and not wait until it boils up but when your hormones are all over the place and you are about to give birth, there's not a whole lot of rational thought going on so I'll let the screaming pass and instead be happy we got see a scene that SO many women around the world resonate with.

There are so many different issues being addressed in this show and I love to see it. It is a happy and cute rom com but it also highlights the many different struggles that people around the world go through and it handles these struggles in a very realistic way.

Really wish we could see more of Mi Seon and the police officer. Their relationship is truly so wholesome and cute. Two opposites you wouldn't expect but are just so perfect for one another.

This will be slightly unpopular...

The episode was cute but the FL hitting the ML every time someone comes was honestly not cute nor mature. If it was the other way around and he gave her a nose bleed and was pushing her to the ground no one would find it charming. She could just yell at him or something non-physical.

Before anyone gets mad and tries to "explain" it to me I understand it's not in an abusive way and meant to be cute and charming but I just find it a bit too much and don't think they needed to do it so many times. Her just yelling at him would have sufficed in my opinion but this is a drama so I assume they are partially (or mainly) doing it as a way to add in some "humor" and prolong things a bit and so they could have the cute stuff happen with the towns people. Again the episode was cute but that for me just was I guess a bit of an annoyance? To me this seemed like a filler episode. A cute one again but def a filler episode. An entire episode just to tell people they were dating essentially.

I was in love with this for the ep 1-6 but not so much for latest ep. I guees I'll blame SML for this since he…
I think episode 8 got it back on track a bit and was more similar to previous episodes so I'm happy. I'm just somewhat anxious as to how they are going to play out these two love triangles. Right now I don't think there is much of a triangle because its pretty obvious who she likes but this is a K-Drama so there will probably be some misunderstand between the ML and FL that pushes her to the producer guy or something dumb. The dad is coming back next week and supposedly he gets in the way of things so I'll have to wait and see.

Episode 8 was good though. I enjoy the bromance and friendly competition of sports and food between the two male leads. I just don't like the awkward triangle with the FL.

I'm going to be honest, I am over the whole love triangle trope and somewhat wished this drama avoided it but at the same time they obviously had to put something in to make it you know... a drama. This will be a classic guy who is more similar to her and went to the same school and used to living a city life like her vs the new guy who is more country and down to earth and opposite of her despite their natural chemistry. We obviously know who wins but I just hope this show doesn't turn this gem into a dragged out mess where I end up not liking the characters. Right now I like all the characters and I'm hoping that doesn't change.

The new episode was still good and had funny and cute moments but it was a bit... slower? than the other ones because you can tell they are trying to build up the drama and backstory and I really hope this show doesn't lose it's charm and humor just to make it to 16 episodes. This show has been so strong but I'm starting to get an uneasy feeling.

This is still one of the most refreshing K-Dramas I've watched in awhile though! I really do love the characters and just the slice of life feel to it with the cheesiness.

Is anyone else just interested in the translating process? Finding out how a lot of what we hear Korean actors say in dramas gets cut down to shorter and easier to understand sentences without taking away from the story and still being accurate. It makes sense because when you rely on subtitles you don't have time to read a long paragraph.

I just find her job as a translator fascinating.

Also makes more sense to me now that for people learning Korean they need to watch with double subtitles because the English translation may not really capture exactly what they said and leave some words out.

This show continues to be funny and cute at the same time without getting too cheesy. Obviously there are cheesy moments but by adding in well placed moments of sadness or discontent it keeps the show from being too much of one thing. This show is certainly a feel good but it also has a balance of both funny and dramatic moments but also sincere moments that share an important message like the father and daughter theme of the latest episode.

To be honest I partially wish I had waited until the show was over to start watching because I just want to binge it!

It may be too early to be this excited or get my hopes up but I think this show is really a breath of fresh air compared to many other romance K-Dramas. It is cheesy and funny and a show you just can't help watching with a goofy smile on your face. It is truly a feel good show and I hope the show continues to build but also stay light and fun at the same time.

Can someone recommend kdramas that are just like this one?? I realllyy need it hehehe
I think the show Hometown Cha Cha Cha which is new on Netflix is a feel good one like this. A bit different but similar vibes. There's only two episodes out so you can always watch and see if its worth it or wait.

As someone who grew up in a surf town... please tell me why they had this man pretending to be a surfer when the conditions were flatter than my white ass. No surfer would have suited up and gone out in that. SUP would be fine but.... I just can't with this already haha. I love this ML already but I can't stop laughing at some of the things K-Drama directors think is a good idea or somehow impressive.

Anyways I'm only a few minutes into this show and it is clearly a Hallmark type show and I personally love Hallmark movies. I love simple and cheesy dramas so I think this will be a fun one to watch.

Beginning of the first episode: Junior female student explaining the F4 has good taste and respects women
Also the first episode: ML shoves her friend to the ground and later slaps her (pretty roughly too) across the face with a box of food after insulting her family for literally no reason other than immaturity

I definitely misjudged this series at first and thought it didn't do the novel justice. I will say though that I don't think for me it really started getting me hooked and interested until around episode 18. And as with any drama that is 50+ episodes I do think there are some parts that could have been condensed a bit but overall once I hit that 18 episode mark I think it stayed pretty interesting and engaging. I really think this is an all around beautiful show and was well produced and written. The acting was simple but at the same time really captured the characters perfectly and showed great emotion. Its impossible not to fall in love with our two male leads for opposite reasons.

I would definitely recommend this show. It's one that you are truly a little sad and lost when it ends.

Now, in episode 12 and I'm jealous of the people who are at the point where the drama hooked them. I'm still not…
I'm on episode 11 and I feel the same. I'm getting somewhat bored and I'm just not really having the desire to binge this or keep watching. I love the animation but I feel like things are moving very slow in this version and besides Wei Wuxian the rest of the characters are pretty dull and predictable at this point. Hopefully it gets better because people talk about this show like it's gold.

I'm watching the Donghua and this at the same time and I'm considering dropping the Netflix/live version. I'm on episode 11 and I am just getting bored. At what point does it start picking up a bit more?

Honestly... I love the Donghua so much I genuinely don't think any actors or anything live will be able to capture the magic in the anime. And with the censorship issue, I'd rather just stick with the animation because it will lose the entire charm of the novel/show.

So far, so good with this drama. I think it may be creeping into the top five K-Dramas for me if it can keep up the intensity and not fall into any clichés. I like the we are already seeing some character development or more so character reveals without it being too out of the blue if that makes sense.

I really enjoy this so far. I think its a very fresh K-Drama and though I agree it does somewhat remind me of How To Get Away With Murder, I think in some ways it is different. Either way I haven't seen a K-drama similar to this so I'm happy.

I do agree with other people that I am wondering how this plot will be drawn out... I have this bad feeling that my opinion of this show will change half way through

This really is a beautiful drama. This is a slow and more emotional drama so don't expect action or crazy theatrics. The focus is more so on growing pains in life, whether you are 20 or 70. Romance takes a back seat to friendship and family and I appreciate that. I enjoy watching this show before bed with a glass of wine if that is any indication to the type of mood to be in to watch it. I think this is probably going to end up one of my top five K-Dramas and I've watched many.

I would really recommend it to people who don't mind a slower series to just unwind to at the end of the day. Its a great drama to fall into while you are lost in life, no matter what age.

I'm not going to lie, I loved this show the first two/three episodes but I'm a little meh right now. I feel like it started off really unique for a K-drama and it also started out really intense with the Italy scenes but then it just went more comedic with glimpses of action here and there, more there than here.

I also just long for the day they can show us a bad ass female lead who isn't also hysterical or emotionally all over the place. This FL reminds me of the FL from Its Okay Not To Be Okay in the sense that she's this badass, independent women but also kind of crazy and emotionally unstable. When can we can a badass female lead that isn't also emotionally unstable? There are women in the world who are brilliant but not completely off the rails in terms of their emotions and behavior. Being brilliant or independent and successful with ovaries doesn't mean you have daddy or mommy issues. That's just a pet peeve but I know its not going to change anytime soon in K-dramas. Only the older women in K-dramas are allowed to be emotionally mature for whatever reason.

BUT, this show is still decent as I'm still watching. I'm hoping the second half of the show steps it up a bit in terms of intensity and seriousness. I want to see the mafia badass come out of him again and burn the whole place to the ground. I still have hope for this series and it's better than a lot of other ones so I think it's worth the watch for people who are on the edge.

I swear I couldn't have been the only one seeing the grand reveal at the end of episode four coming! This show really does keep building in anticipation. I hope it continues on that way and doesn't "flatline" like many other shows do.
