For anyone considering starting this I would honestly wait until more episodes are out or the show is fully out to watch. I definitely regret not waiting because this is a very bingeable show. Waiting a week between new episodes is painful haha.

Episodes 1-4 are building the foundation of the show and introducing you to everyone and some of the backstories. We are getting a look at the overall political powers and who supports who. We are just now, or next week i should say, about to start getting into the training or "the good stuff" in my opinion. The character growth, relationships deepening, and magical power growth is my favorite part of these fantasy dramas and we are finally about to start that. Overall, the show is pretty decently paced. The side characters are a hoot and its fun watching their dynamics with the leads.

If I had any complaint it's that I wish we got a bit more into the magic/powers and use of those powers. I feel like episode one started of amazingly with the effects and fighting and since then we haven't really had anything. I feel like this drama is more so focused on the political stuff than on the actual fantasy/magical stuff. I'd like a little bit more of a balance but I think we are about to get into that and it's only four episodes in so I think my opinion will be changing.

Great show so far though.

Also... I think Yul is starting to put some stuff together and I'm wondering when he will figure it out and how he will respond.

I agree with you regarding Jang Uk and Mu Deok who is Nak Soo. Their relationship is made of a mix of master pupil…
Yeah, I think Yul may end up being an enemy of the two leads when he discovers the truth of Naksu/Mudeok. He seems like a very black/white character who isn't lenient in his views of the world so her role as an assassin will ultimately cause those childhood crush feelings to go away swiftly. Kind of unfortunate because if this was written differently, I do think it could be an interesting story there between those two.

I think this drama will focus on character growth and political tension. I don't think romance is going to be the main theme of this drama which I am okay with since I love the fantasy genre. I also don't see many things going smoothly once everything comes out like you said. I am anticipating the death of at least one or two of the "four season" characters for sure. Also we have no idea if a soul can permanently stay in another body or what so it also seems like unless a miracle happens there's going to be issues regarding her body if not figured out soon.

I think there's plenty of scenes of mudeok getting flustered by uk's actions, they have great chemistry. https://twitter.com/midorawr/status/1540688667978903553?s=20&t=sqXbUomewEyWspAbRwdhaghttps://twitter.com/leejaewookstyle/status/1540675757965725697?s=20&t=sqXbUomewEyWspAbRwdhag
I think they have great chemistry but there's different types of chemistry is what I was saying. We all have different preferences when it comes to how romances are portrayed. I definitely like the more intense and serious romance over the kind of goofy ones. As of now uk and mudeok have great chemistry but for me its more so a kind of master/student one and a lot of humor. I'm hoping it starts shifting into more serious but thats just me. I'm not knocking people for enjoying them this is just my preference.

Title Legally Romance Spoiler
im rewatching this drama from when it first aired and I can see why the ML was sooo afraid to express his feelings-…
For me the big missed opportunity was the scene before she woke up from the coma where he confronts her about finding her diary and knowing she came from the future. Everything he said about her only really caring about him in terms of being lawyers was so true. I feel like he truly fell in love with her but she kind of... cared more about beating him and doing well in her career and the show never gave her an opportunity to prove him wrong about it.

And dont get me started how when she came out of her coma she just ... expected him to confess to her and kneel down before her with his love?? Like girl... in reality he watched you love and choose another man for 10 YEARS and you expect him to just be the one to put in the work and confess to you? I feel like she had no right to be mad at him or frustrated. It came off super entitled to me when he had been the one hurting and supporting her quietly for an entire decade.

The main reason I rate this show an 8 and not higher is because I feel like the female character could have been written way better.

I've never had sls before but after the scene on the bridge with the breathing and playing the bird calling instrument... I really like the tension between yul and mudeok. For me mudeok and uk have more of a master/student and friendly humor thing going between them so I don't really view them romantically. Obviously, we had our first jealousy moment with uk seeing yul and her on the bridge so it looks like they will make them endgame but I'm a little meh on it.

I just really like that mudeok and yul are both intense characters so the tension between them is more so what I'm into from a romance perspective, almost like an enemies to lovers thing but used to be sweethearts in childhood. I have a bad premonition yul will end up going against them as things unfold though so I'm kind of preparing not to like him for much longer.

Anyways, love this show still, best I've seen in a while. I really hate having to wait a week to watch the new episodes haha. It's going to be a long summer.

One of the best kdrama debuts I've seen in awhile, really looking forward to this show. I already have characters I love and hope don't disappoint me.

My recommendation is you to continue. second part is much better than first part....Try to watch it completely.…
Im on episode 22 and it is less cheesy which I like but the company drama and love triangle stuff is still killing me. I have a feeling it'll get better in a few more episodes so I'll stick with it.
On The Brightest Star in the Sky Jun 13, 2022
I am only continuing on with this show for Tao. I'm on episode 16 and in summary next to nothing really happens besides company stuff which doesn't really have much to do with the male or female lead. At this point they are literally as close as they were in episode one. If anything even more anger on the females side. We've seen longer scenes of the FL and SML than the ML and its just leaving me a bit confused. The ML is almost like a wacky, annoying side character the first part of this drama.

The female character is incredibly annoying (not actress but character). She acts annoyed and superior but then makes the most naive mistakes? Then when things are her fault she just... puts the blame on the male? She can lose her temper and go off at the most random moments but in serious moments she's just a mouse who runs away. Like the whole text misunderstand with the SML is being made such a bigger deal than it is. He knows the ML is a douche she should have explained immediately... and the obnoxious way she cried??

Also, what the heck is the pool scene I just watched. I've seen a lot of ridiculous moments in cdramas but it takes the cake. If you watch the show just watch this part in ep 16 cause it is just.... a total mess. Why she freaked out makes no sense when she's in waist deep water???? Then she is drowning and he just kisses her underwater? He doesn't bring her up for air??????? The she's magically conscious again?? While still underwater????

This is one of those dramas where its so bad its good. And like other comments I just fast forward through the company stuff because its nothing but side drama that is annoying.

I somewhat enjoyed this show at first but its just getting ridiculous and I'm coming to be annoyed with both leads. The male is slowly showing growth but he's still very childish and the female is so hot and cold that I'm over it.

The description says she is 19 years old but in the opening scenes she introduces herself as a grad student. Is this a translation issue or did she somehow graduate with a bachelors or whatever extremely young?

Here tag says 'Slow-Burn Romance', so exactly how slow are we talking about ?
Its not that slow, the show is done in two parts. When shes in a coma dreaming and when shes out of the coma. The romance develops in both parts separately in a way but it doesnt take that long for the leads to be together and cute. Its more so the female just fighting it for a bit but still being cute. But you dont have to wait until the end of the show for them to get together if thats what you mean

I very hesitantly started this show because I needed something sweet and cheesy to watch after finishing the emotional trauma that is Ancient Love Poetry and...

I am quite surprised at how much I am enjoying this show. I'm on episode 8 and binged up to this point in one afternoon/night. I really love the expressions of the main leads and their bickering. Also you can't help but like and feel sympathy for both male leads. I wouldn't really say there is a love triangle so much as the female getting over her feelings for the SML by rewriting the past and falling in love with the main male lead. It's kind of a competition over her but also she clearly focuses on one while coming to terms with getting over the other and in a way breaking his heart unintentionally since he doesn't know what he was like in the future and how he hurt her.

Anyways its quite interesting and you can't help but hope they all have a happy and justified ending. I hope the show keeps up its pace I've seen some people say it drags a bit in the middle so I hope I don't feel the same.

What is your opinion about him now? Even though I love baijue the most, I also really like tianqi. You're wrong…
I was late to the party! But I just finished the drama and TQ really is a favorite of mine now and probably the best character growth. Even though it was a happy ending I do wish he could have personally regained the friends he lost but it is what it is.
On Falling into Your Smile Jun 3, 2022
This is a very cheesy drama and the esports part is obviously overdramatized but it's still a cute watch. There isn't any crazy love triangle or misunderstanding throughout it's just the leads focusing on each other and their sport. I actually think this drama does a great job at showing how you can stay supportive of your exes and wish the best for them in the end.

I don't think the acting was necessarily top tier BUT its still a cute watch and overall isn't a bad show. As always I think it could have been a bit shorter but its a romance cdrama lol that's kind of a given.

I still have a pretty positive opinion of him. He is flawed but not in a way where I don't like his character. I think he's a very honest and open character but not evil in his intention or actions. I think that's what makes him likable and redeemable.

It's not that I think people don't like him just that I don't see a lot of discourse around his character on here which is a shame because I think his character is really interesting to talk about. He's not the FL or ML though so I understand discussion is always based on the leads especially in romance dramas, but I wish we could see him discussed a bit more on here because he's very influential in the plot and just a complex character with shades of good and bad.

Title Ancient Love Poetry Spoiler
I feel like Tian Qi's character is severally underrated by viewers of this drama. He reminds me so much of both Wei and JC from Untamed at times.

He has that silly and uncaring attitude, and you just can't help but laugh and love him despite knowing he has some deep flaws. He isn't afraid to become the bad guy and be misunderstood for the people he loves. Also, he knows who the real bad guys are but isn't telling anyone and taking it on by himself. He would avoid a lot of issues if he just let people in and told them what's going on. He only trusts his two close comrades (like wei did with ning and lan zhan) while he tries to fix this himself.

Tian was "killed" by his brother over a misunderstanding (just like wei) and after was left thinking he was the sole survivor among his brothers and shang gu (like JC). And when he finds them again he's the only one with his memories which has to be painful because until they get their memories and power back its going to be hard for them to understand everything that's happening . And sitting there talking to them when they don't know who they really are just has to be painful after 60 thousand years of grieving them. He very clearly misses them and the others gods who died and unfortunately is left all alone to deal with it while trying to keep the realms in check.

Tian is by no means perfect as he was willing to sacrifice millions of lives to save the one he loved but you almost can't help but admire him in a way for that. He was seriously insecure and jealous of Bai (like JC) but also that's his brother and no matter how angry he was at bai he still cant bring himself to fully hate him and will protect him with his life.

In my unprofessional opinion he is the most complex character of the show. He's neither fully good or bad. He's someone who was often misunderstood and not taken seriously despite being one of the most powerful gods. I wanted to not like him for awhile in the beginning but as more of the truth comes out as the show goes on you can't help but admire the character and actor who played it. He is a misunderstood villain that I think is the most relatable character of the show. I also think his character has the most depth. The others are somewhat flat compared to him as a lot of them are either fully good or bad. He to me, despite being a god, is the most human.

I feel like nobody ever talks about his character so I figured why not me haha. I'm only on episode 26 though...so lets hope my opinion stays the same.

Yeah, I just finished episode 29 and to be honest... there's really nothing happening anymore and hasn't been…
I enjoy slice of life and drama free romances, but those genres should still have some type of plot. This is still a wholesome and nice watch but it can depend on peoples tastes or mood whether they enjoy it or not.
