Time to get cancelled but...

I really wish more people could see the beauty of this show outside of the main couple.

The is a show about youth, friendship, family, and our first big loves. The point of the show isn't "who is her father" or "do they end up together". You are ruining the mastery of this show by focusing on that. Yeah, it's a plot device to keep you curious and watching to the end but it's not really what the show is about. It's a beautifully told coming of age story from the point of view of her daughter to show that even though times are different some things never change.

It's supposed to be sad. It's supposed to be bittersweet. It's supposed to highlight that in high school we are so very naive about everything. I remember being 16/17 and falling in love for the first time. I remember swearing that would be the person I would be with forever. I look back now and all I can do is chuckle and smile at the sweet memories. That is what this show is about. How when you're a teenager everything feels so big, and anything feels possible. How those years between childhood and adulthood are so short but often some of our greatest memories before reality starts knocking us down and responsibilities pile up. This is not just some romance drama. This is about so much more than a boy and a girl.

You guys are so obsessed with turning this show into a typical romance drama and keep coming up with the wildest theories. Even though I grew up in a different country and culture I can still relate to the characters. That is the power of this drama. Please stop cheapening it because you fail to see the humor in a high school student claiming someone is the love of their life, and they will always be together.

Who knows, maybe they do end up together. Either way, we don't always need a happy ending for a show to be great. This show for me really delivers in making me nostalgic for my own youth and innocence. I really don't understand how all you guys seem to care about is if they end up together or not. This show is about so so so much more than that and it's kind of sad nobody seems to talk about that in these comments.

Maybe I'm one of the older people here though haha. If I was a teenager watching this, I'd probably be focused on the couple too and not the nostalgia because I wouldn't fully understand yet why shows like this and Reply 1988 are so sentimental. It definitely hits different when you are older watching these shows.

I think the newest episode was the best I've seen in a while. I like that we got more intense weather action similar to what we saw in the first two episodes of the show. The drama wasn't too cheesy or over the top and I feel like for most of the characters we are seeing good development. I also think we got more energy from the ML and FL this episode. I enjoyed this show for the first time in awhile.

The fact that the SML and SFL relationship is about to be sacrificed (albeit temporarily) for the main couple doesn't sit well with me. And all for what? Cause Hari kept rejecting him and telling him she didn't want to be with him but when she finds out he's on a date she changes her mind and decides she wants him? Just because we know she likes him doesn't make her behavior okay or cute. I find it just as ridiculous as the douche canoe chef. Her being so hot and cold the past few episodes have really made me start to dislike her character.

Also..what in the world is with this kdrama using injuries every other episode to build the plot?! The baseball to the eye. The grandpa falling. Twisting her ankle while hiking. The bathroom incident. The appendicitis. Hari burning her hand while cooking. Hari hurting her wrist in dodgeball. The chef cutting himself. Hari getting sick on the boat. The coworker being anxious/sick and taking too many calming pills.

Did the writer just say hmm... idk how to move the plot to the next point...lets give someone an injury or physical issue of some type! I find it a bit odd to be honest and a bit too much.

I honestly don't get the point of the present day mystery? To annoy us? To keep us talking? They are being deliberately…
Im on episode five, if you aren't there yet don't read further!!!!

It's pretty obvious they are not together in present day because of the comment the mom/grandma makes that "she saw him recently" and the mom/daughter was shocked or betrayed or something meaning they clearly don't see one another. Also, the daughter didnt seem to know who he was in the first group photo in the scrapbook.

This is a major spoiler preditiction but i almost wonder if she got knocked up and never told him about their daughter for some reason. Or maybe a love triangle is going to be introduced. I don't believe at this point they've said anything about the young girls father. We only know the FLs dad passed away before the financial crisis.

I think this plot device as people say is just to build curiosity of viewers and thats it.

So for me this raises this question: was Yoo Jin correct to end things off with Si Woo? Is it fair to date someone…
I had empathy for yoo jin this episode because her "husband" was literally stalking his ex and doesn't seem to care about her whatsoever and when she called him out on it he just refused to acknowledge he's in the wrong. And the whole si woo not wanting to get married thing sucks but she lost my empathy at the end of the episode when she confronted ha kyung about dating him and spilling the beans on his views of marriage. You could argue she just wanted to "warn a fellow woman" but lets be honest it was out of jealousy and bitterness. And the preview showed that once again she's going to make things difficult for ha kyung and her team and her husband. Every time I start somewhat sympathizing with her she makes me hate her all over again.

You bring up a good point about si woo. While it's justified that he is hurt and angry that she dumps him and marries someone else I would argue that if she made it clear she wanted marriage and he said no I think him showing up at her wedding like that is very petty and childish. Also very hypocritical. I feel like a lot of people in this comment section want to ignore the big red flags si woo has just because he's a good looking guy.

And dating someone without intent to marry is fine as long as both people are on the same page. That's a talk that should be had early in a relationship. The "what are your expectations or what do you want" talk. Maybe it doesn't sound sexy but the whole point is making sure you are on the same page as someone. We can see that ha kyung and si woo clearly need to have that talk before their relationship goes any further. And if someone tells you they don't want marriage then you need to respect that. If you choose to stay with them knowing they don't want marriage your cheating on them isn't justified.

I think for me my main issue is this show is centered around the main couples' exes. All the drama and plot points surround the ex gf and bf making things difficult for everyone else. For me it's getting annoying and almost seems like the show (especially the latest episode) is more about their exes than them. I feel more emotional connection to the crazy couple than the main couple because we see them fighting and stalking whereas with the main couple, we get very little romance or funny scenes. There are no scenes between the main couple that make me want to laugh or cry or even frustrate me. I appreciate sweet and undramatic love stories but for me we are getting so much crazy from the other couple that the main couple comes off very stiff and boring to watch.

I also just think the crazy exs are getting to be too much now. I want to smack them and say you cheated and left them why are you now obsessed with them and trying to ruin their relationship. I kind of felt for the female during this episode cause the husband was off stalking his ex the whole time and she called him on it. But then at the end she showed her jealousy and it looks like the next episode is going to be focused on once again her making thing difficult for everyone because of her envy.

I just feel like the crazy exs are the star of this show and I can't stand them which is making me lose interest very fast in this show.

Also, I really like how weather-heavy the first two episodes were. I liked hearing more about the weather and seeing what bad weather can do. I was expecting more accidents and catastrophes and it seems like the weather is kind of...only briefly mentioned during the meetings now and only used at the beginning and end of the show as a metaphor.

I was a little worried wondering how they would make this show go for 16 episodes but just noticed it will only have 12. I think it's a good decision as the pacing of this show is going well and keeping it 12 I will avoid unnecessary filler episodes or drama.

I feel like Cha Sung Hoon is getting jealous or suspicious that that guy is a stalker or a weird person.
I feel like that guy put a camera in the gift he gave her honestly.

A big issue I am having with this drama is the timeline is very unclear. The first few episodes it was filmed and written as if each episode was a consecutive day and when you put it all together the leads have been dating or whatever for all of a week or so. The latest episode is the first time they mentioned something along the lines that two days had passed of the guys sleeping together in the dorm. Maybe I'm not listening well enough, but it genuinely seems like they have been dating for a little over a week or two which makes the pace of their relationship just plain weird.

Excluding the first episode, this is one of my all-time favorite K-dramas. I think this drama really speaks to people who love reading/books and also those who enjoy nice and light k-dramas. I genuinely liked all of the characters in this drama which is rare. This drama didn't vilify anyone which was nice to see.

A great and easy watch if you are looking for something calm and cute and love reading.
On Forecasting Love and Weather Feb 20, 2022
Relationship wise I feel like this show moves very fast which worries me. It makes me wonder if this show may be more like a medical drama where the weather/forecasting is the focus with extreme weather events happening each episode and the romance drama kind of playing in the background.

I'm a bit worried how this is going to span out but regardless I really enjoyed episode 3 and so far, I really like this drama. It feels new and interesting compared to most others. It also really opens my eyes to how much of a role weather forecasting plays in many people's daily lives. I hope it continues to entertain me and not go downhill like so many others...
On Forecasting Love and Weather Feb 13, 2022
I find this show fascinating already but that's the science nerd in me and someone who has always loved all things climate/weather. I think this is a somewhat fresh perspective for a romance kdrama to take so I am excited. I'm also a fan of the actors so that helps.

Anyways, first episode is pretty slow and serves to introduce people and the situation. For some people I would probably wait for the second episode to come out tomorrow and binge both because I think things will pick up a bit next episode. This will probably overall be a bit of a slow burn, but I enjoy these types of dramas, so I am looking forward to it. I just hope we don't get any cliche tropes from the lead characters.

Is it slow Drama? How is the first episode?
It is somewhat slow as it just serves to introduce the characters and background, but I found it interesting. This will def be a show good for science nerds but I do think it will pick up pace in a few episodes

I just finished episode six and things are still heating up. I'm hoping I continue to like this show, some of the comments have me a bit word that I'm approaching some filler episodes...

Just finished episode three and things are starting to get interesting. I really like this story though and find it somewhat unique compared to other kdramas.

I will say this is a bit of a slow burn (with fair amounts of bloodshed though) but I am enjoying it because I am interested to see how this plays out. Hopefully it keeps getting more interesting now that most all of the main players have been revealed.

Maybe I'm too old for this show but I honestly find the characters on this show all incredibly immature. The complete lack of mature conversation is a bit too much in this show. All romantic K-dramas have some communication issues but in this show it's just too much for me.

The sad thing is I do enjoy the drama and I like the possibilities this show holds, but it went from being somewhat entertaining in the first few episodes to just annoying for me. I understand the main characters have issues but for me that doesn't excuse their behavior. We've all gone through something awful (at least most of us) but it doesn't mean it's okay to act like these two leads. If I was their friend, I would be ringing their neck or ending the friendship because the way they are acting is getting old.

Also, nobody has said it but to me the SML seems like a douche. We can't always control who we are attracted to but to see your supposed best friend/brother clearly still having feelings over his ex and her clearly having feelings too but still getting in the way (erasing footage and only wanting to film alone with her, etc) is crossing a line. I don't care about his family life we all have family issues; he seems like a shit friend who just pities himself and uses that pity as an excuse for crappy behavior. It's also clear that like the FL the SML envies the ML and instead of addressing it or letting it go he just lets it build up.

I swear all romantic K-drama characters need therapy desperately. I don't find anything about this romantic just immature and unhealthy.

One day we will get a K-drama that doesn't rely on immaturity or childhood trauma...

I honestly like the first half of the show more than the second half, but overall it was a wholesome but still bittersweet drama I would recommend to someone if they want something cheesy and light to watch.
