I really thought JH would be the rival ceo's son but now the show has me convinced wyw is her daughter. But they…
Don't get me wrong this was a sweet episode where wyw was dealt with the dilemma of being a good attorney vs being a good person. So don't take this as hate or full on disappointment. I'm just a little worried as to what the rest of the season is going to be like.
I really thought JH would be the rival ceo's son but now the show has me convinced wyw is her daughter. But they are framing it to be wyw so perfectly it makes me a little suspicious.
This is becoming a fun guessing game of a show where we all try to find out the past of the FL and ML, but honestly, I need the show to be a bit more than just that. If we aren't going to get a lot of ML/FL interaction like this episode I'm going to need the episodes to be a little more entertaining. This episode was still nice but not on the same level of previous ones (for me at least). The leads interactions in the first episodes of the show are what a lot of people fell in love with and without that I think the show is a little bit dry since the other characters are fairly boring, typical people. I love Attorney Jung so I'm sad he wasn't really in this episode at all. I love his interactions with the FL so I was missing that this episode too.
If it’s a sequel, I’m glad that Naksu survives. Who knows Mu Deok will have her own identity and life back.…
I think it'll obviously take some warming up with them, not just acting wise but also the story in general. He fell in love with Naksu while she was in Mudeoks body. Her being in another body he is unfamiliar with and never seen isn't going to be some easy. immediate adjustment.
I'm excited by the announcement, I can't wait to see Naksu in her own body and I assume with her powers back.
The issue is going to come to acting. The acting of Naksu's personality needs to be similar to the Mudeok/Naksu we are seeing now or else it's going to be a miss. Naksu at the opening of the show was very fierce and cold, so I'm not sure how fans will react to her going back that way... I don't think a lot of fans will be able to accept her as the same person despite the fact Naksu is currently just a soul living in someone else's body.
I personally am excited. It'll be interesting to see if Uk can quickly adjust to her original/true body though...
I love the current actress and will miss her portrayal of Naksu/Mudeok but the story must go on and this to me makes sense. Hopefully people can try and be positive. I know some people are hardcore fans of the current actress, so I understand their upset feelings.
There was some foreshadowing though when he told Mu Deok in a roundabout way that he may do something to her next…
Yup, definitely a warning. If she steps out of line he's not going to be the good friend anymore. I think he also just wanted her to know he knew who she was.
I think he's trying to gather more facts first though, especially since he found out the reason she became an assassin was because she believed his family was responsible for killing her father for no reason. I think that's another reason he's still a bit patient with not exposing her, somewhat out of sympathy and also starting to be confused about whats going on at songrim.
yul has pretty harsh mouth, if only he cab said fluttering beautiful words to mu deok like what jang uk's done.…
I mean Naksu is somewhat doing it for herself. She needs Jang Uk to get her powers back. She does not like being helpless surrounded by mages. Obviously, she cares for him now and will protect him at the cost of her own life but she still has her own motive and that motive will surface again as the show goes on. This show will have two parts and I def foreshadow some issues coming up. I mean its a kdrama so of course haha.
I like that Yul is very.... boring! I actually see alot of similarites (personality) in Naksu and Yul. They both need people who will make them better and less rigid. Yul needs someone like Uk in his life romantically haha.
The main question that actually needs to be answered is:
Why did Jang Kang, someone believed to be a good mage by the other mages, start obsessing over mastering AOS? Who was he trying to soul shift successful? He didn't create the soul ejector powder just for fun.
Also, I'm not going to assume Songrim is the good guys here, I don't think they are Gryffindor as people say haha. Why is Master Lee helping Naksu (a known enemy of Songrim)? Why is he also keeping secrets from Songrim's leader about the stone? Something happening back in Master Lee's time that started all this with the stone and somehow its related to what JK did and why the queen wants revenge on Songrim. And to our now favorite blind girl haha.
Long fantasy dramas like this are known for hiding the truth for most of the show. Oftentimes the "bad guys" have very good reasons for what they are doing. I think the kids, or the leads, are all innocent though but they will eventually have to choose a side and it won't all be the same side. They all have no idea what's going on besides Yul and for now Yul is protecting Naksu and Uk. I don't see Yul protecting them forever though, right now it seems to be his unresolved feelings for Naksu that is keeping him from blowing her cover. But those feelings won't last forever, especially as she grows closer to Uk. I love Yul though haha. I just know how dramas like this go for guys like him. My heart is ready to be broken.
Earlier I re-watched some of the mirror scenes (Ep. 7) and I'm wondering what are those pieces of floating black…
This could be very well. That's what happened in The Untamed, it was broken into more pieces than people knew which is how the bad guys got away with so much. You saying this made me realize it could be true cause the other objects said that weird thing that the blind girl is the stone or something. Cool theory though!
I don't think she holds Seo Yul personally responsible but it is a little difficult to have any romantic or even…
Like you said its hard for her to have any type of relationship with Yul because his family was part of her father being killed. We know he's innocent but that doesn't mean she can just easily be okay with him.
You really think if it gets confirmed Uk was the reason her father was killed shes just going to immediately be okay with it? Thats the point I make. Kdramas are known for the halfway or 3/4 way breakup or fight. I do think this could become an issue in the future. It's a kdrama. Mudeok and Uk will most likely have some type of disagreement or fight down the road. Happily ever after doesn't come in these dramas without suffering first lol.
I doubt it was ML's father. When he was in king's body he taught soul shift secret to the main villain, who was…
Someone put the soul in his body. His job was the record the stars. Jin Mu is trying to hide Uks birth constellation that shows the kings star. Its directly related.
I doubt it was ML's father. When he was in king's body he taught soul shift secret to the main villain, who was…
It could be Jin Mu but at the end of the day her father was still killed to protect Jang Uks birth details. I don't see her being perfectly okay with that when she first finds out. Not saying they won't get their happily ever after.
But, we are only getting small hints about what happened in the past. At this point this is one theory and for me I kinda feel like it could be his father who had a role in it. We still don't know how connected Jin Mu and Uk's father present day are, they are purposely keeping us in the dark. It's believed he just disappeared, but I have a hard time believing he has been doing nothing all these years.
So we know that Jang Kang is one of the only mages back in the day who could do soul shift.
We know that it seems someone soul shifted into Naksu's dad driving him mad to the point the four families had to kill him. Naksu's dad also knew about the King's star because it was his job.
It's kind of ironic Mudeok/Naksu holds Yul responsible for what she believes his family did to her father. What is she going to do if she's training and falling in love with the one whose father is actually responsible? The whole reason her father was killed was to protect Jang Uk's birth secret. If this show does the cliche break up 3/4 in, I definitely think this is going to be a factor.
I don't find them boring at all. Their history ties to the overall plot. Her fathers job and death is heavily…
Yeah, I'm not interacting or posting much in this comment section because it's very heavy with shippers or stans of the male lead. This site is supposed to be for reviewing the shows and discussing plot and theories.
Yul and Naksu just seem to be a little nostalgic over their childhood encounter. I'm not sure why people are upset about that. I do think Yul had a crush on childhood her but her being an assassin for years makes that irrelevant. For me Yul and Naksu are actually very similar and I hope can be friends. Naksu needs someone like Uk to make her more fun and less serious. And I think Yul needs someone like that too. But I have a bad feeling about Yul's future haha. Especially if next episode mudeok/the jin sister purposely flirts with him and causes a misunderstanding. I feel like Yul's pride might start... making an appearance and with his social standing and power it won't go over well.
Either way people need to kind of chill. I'm not sure why people take these dramas so personally. They are fictional characters and I love the dynamics between all of the characters.
But have you noticed she called both Yul and CP "Anyone" when she gave all the pheasant's meat to Uk? I am not…
I'm not saying they were lovers, they were literally children. There are many different types of caring. I think to say "she doesn't care for him at all" is a bit of an overstatement. If you hate someone that means you care. Not caring would mean indifference and Naksu/Mudeok is clearly not indifferent to Yul.
I'm not sure why people get weird about Yul and Naksu, they both clearly have strong memories from their childhood encounter. It seemed to leave an impact on both of them. She was raised secluded from the world so I think for her he was a confidante/friend and for him he may have had a crush. Obviously the moved on in their adult lives but now that they are together again its clear they both are going down memory lane.
The scene where she was going to burn the bird whistle but then remembered him saying that he missed childhood her and she decided to keep the whistle had meaning. It clearly showed that she isn't burning their history/past. I think she wants to be friends with him but knowing who his family is makes it hard for her to be around him. I also think she just doesn't trust him and knows if her identity if found out by him he may turn against her.
I think you may be forgetting that it was his bird whistle originally. He taught her how to play it and gave it to her. She held onto it her entire adult life as it was on her body when she "died". To say she simply doesn't care about him at all clearly isn't true. I think she always felt betrayed by him and upset she lost a friend upon finding out who his family was. She grew up secluded with nobody. It makes sense that the one friend she made would leave an impact on her. even if their knowing each other was very short.
I don't think her feelings or actions are romantic or anything. This woman's main focus is getting her power back and not having her identity revealed to the political powers. I don't think romance is really on her brain at all right now.
The interactions between Seo Yul and Naksu are unbearably boring, humorless, long winded and cliched, just poorly…
I don't find them boring at all. Their history ties to the overall plot. Her fathers job and death is heavily related to what is going on in the show. Their history isn't just about their fond memories with eachother but also the political things going on.
I understand you probably heavily ship the two leads but there's no reason to be this grumpy about Yul and Naksu. If you like Uks personality better thats fine but not everyone needs to be charismatic. I like that Yul is the opposite of Uk, the dynamics between Naksu and Yul and Mudeok and Uk are complete opposite and it's fun to watch. Uk is making Naksu more fun. Yul'd character serves as a way to show how much her character is changing too. I feel like you are missing that out of jealousy or something.
But have you noticed she called both Yul and CP "Anyone" when she gave all the pheasant's meat to Uk? I am not…
Yul though is clearly not just "anyone" to her. They will not have romance in this drama but it's clear that Yul and Naksu are both still not fully over their childhood connection and I don't really mean in a romantic way. He clearly always cared for her and wants to know why she pushed him away. I think she liked Yul originally but upon finding out his family had a hand in her dad's death she pushed him away and now she is torn over how to deal with him.
So no romance between Yul and Mudeok at all, but I feel like a lot of people for some reason are denying there is a history and connection between them. The question is will Yul's fond memories of her keep him from turning against her and Uk? Or will the relationship between them make Yul jealous/bitter and push him to become their enemy?
Yul is clearly going to have to make a decision soon about whose side he is on and right now it's 50/50 but knowing how these dramas go I don't think it's looking good.
Also it seems like Jins sister has some history possibly with the guys too and her taking back control may cause some...issues and misunderstandings. I feel like she's about to pit all the men against one another.
im not yet sold on the very vague synopsisbut considering the fact that I liked Legally Romance I'd like to find…
I don't think I've seen a vet romance so I'm just excited for that! I will watch for the animals haha the filming leaks show some cute pups.
But yeah, I love Tao and he did pretty solid in Legally Romance but I am interested to see more of a range. In his dramas I've watched it's just really cocky/confident characters. I'd like to see a little bit more from him but most modern cdramas are cocky/cold guy from rich family so I guess that's more the directors fault than his. Either way I'd still like to see if he is capable of more.
For me the big missed opportunity was the scene before she woke up from the coma where he confronts her about…
The only time I felt like we saw the female character truly emotional was regarding her dad. I felt like with both the ML and SML there was this kind of emotional disconnect? Like it was all fun and games to her, competition like what you said. I never felt like she was intimately in love with either male character, it was very superficial. Even in the coma when they started dating her character wanted to like avoid kissing and touching him. It just felt like she didn't truly wanna be with him romantically only in this educational and partner way. Anyways haha...
It sucks cause I really liked this show or the idea of it, but it could have been a true 10/10 if they wrote her better.
