Was she dumb to go alone while having a stalker around? Yes but then it was part of her job and her colleagues…
The thing is, it didn't seem dangerous to anyone in that department. It was just another complaint which she had to check. Well, even if it's dangerous, there's no one from her colleagues who'd be willing to check it with her (unless of course if Manager Ma will ask them to). They even left her alone to check on the shrine.
If i hate something in kdramas its when FLs go to abandoned places on their own. Even though they are aware of…
The thing is, no one knew it was dangerous. It's her job to check on complaints and she has always worked by herself.Remember when it was raining so hard in ep 1? Her mean co-worker might have gone there with her but she just remained in the car. Since then, we haven't seen her with any co-worker in her other tasks outside the office. And of course, she has to take pictures. She needs them to make a Report. And how would you know if she left without letting anyone know? If you paid attention in the previous episodes, they always tell Manager Ma where they're off to, whether it be going out for lunch or going to a diffeent department, or heading out for a task. For sure she did the same thing here especially after submitting an Explanation for abandoning work (with Shin Yu). She didn't want to cause trouble.
OMG i am so annoyed at this. Why did it go so bad?? It ...it is beyond mediocre now. I mean it was not a masterpiece…
Also, Seoul is quite far from the sea. That's why it's such a treat for them to visit it. They have limited options too if they don't want to travel too far. There are also areas which are traditionally known for being a certain spot for a particular occasion. That's why the 3 meeting in that particular area isn't too shocking.
South Koreans also spend the Gregorian calendar New Year differently. You have families who just either visit the mountains or go to the beach on NY like how it's depicted in the series. Meanwhile, their Lunar New Year is more festive and a big gathering of families.

It's quite common though to invite an acquaintance for a meal if you're unexpectedly in the same place. This is quite common trait in Asia.
Also, Hong Joo has moved past that "crush" stage. At that point, they were already good friends and neighbors. Only the viewers (and I guess, Jaegyeong too) are bent on the "crush" thing when in their timeline, it's been over 3 months when that "confession" happened.
I freaking have no idea about which "mess" people here are talking about 💀i know it has some plot holes but…
My people! Thank you for keeping this page a bit positive. I also don't understand the hate. The writing is pretty impressive thus far. Non-linear, and it keeps you guessing. The actors have embodied their roles so well and I don't remember any of their past characters with their portrayal here. They're really THAT good. And I also like the hue used by the director. It's warm and cool to the eyes at the same time.
ugh, Jaekyong isn't a psycho (I think) but him, Nayeon and creepy gardener teaming up... the worst people conspiring…
Idol Rowoon hits different though. He's a lead vocalist of SF9 but technique-wise, he could pass as a Main vocalist too. 😍Yet he's actually part of dance team.
Just curious - Is Shamanism and Shamans pretty prevalent in Korea?
Yes but during the Joseon Dynasty, it was prohibited as it goes against the teachings of Buddhism, if my memory serves me right. These days, there are still shamans around with their shops and all. They're treated like any other business. Some are quite popular with a huge following though.
You know why is roowon not one of the most sought after actors from the new Gen.. It's because he doesn't choose…
Him being not in an acting agency is also a factor. Unless he's under those like JYP Entertainment who has NPIO Entertainment which also produces big-budget dramas now (King the Land, The Red Sleeve).
Acting agencies work differently than idol agencies. If you notice, main leads usually have a few labelmates in the cast too. Acting agencies just love doing tagged agreements so actors from smaller companies barely get a chance.
I also believe this!!! I also think that maybe gardener dude (joseon version) tried to kill SY (joseon version)…
OHHHHHH that could be true too!!! So it was Mr. Jang's guilt that made him believe that he killed Aeng Cho and just accepted the curse. But in truth, he was the target of the Gardener (joseon version) all along. 🥹🥹
I'm just gonna prepare my heart for this heartbreaking story.
I don't get the hate for the female lead. she's the reason I'm watching! I love that she is genuinely kind but…
True!! I just don't understand the hate when here I am, each episode, just proud of my girl for overcoming all of the hardships and still manages to be a kind-hearted adult through it all.🥹🥹 I empathize with her. Her life was too lonely!
I think Aeng Cho got married to the past life version of the Gardener. I remember him telling her in the earlier episodes that Hong Joo resembles his deceased wife.
Perhaps they were arranged to get married and Jang (Shin Yu's ancestor) couldn't do anything about it as they were not of the same status so she couldn't marry Aeng Cho even if he wants to.
Then maybeeee the Gardener found out about their love story when Aeng Cho and him were already married so he's got that beef with Mr. Jang and casted a curse on the Jang family.
Also, maybe he was the reason why Jang had to kill Aeng Cho.
A week has passed and I can say that as much as I loved/love MLL, it has morphed into one of those series that isn't as memorable but I was meant to find to help me carry on in life.
Not one of those I'd-remember-forever type of thing. But just was there to help me cope with the overwhelming things going on in my personal life.
Thank you, MLL. I'd feel like putting this out here.
Yeah I felt that, too! They seemed very stale in the pictures. I'll wait till we see the poster--that usually…
I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was hoping that if she'd get paired with a younger actress, it would be someone mature acting-wise like Kim So Hyun. Oh well. That's for future projects though. Let's hope for the best for Matchmakers.
I was excited about this drama because of Rowoon and Jo Bo Ah, but at episode 3, I'm wondering: how did this get…
I disentangled myself from my own judgment on the narration style, I have preferences of my own and I respected that of the writer's. And I then managed to enjoy the show as a whole? It's fun and it's unique, and it has a different flavor with that of other dramas. It may be messy but it's my kind of messy. Acting and chemistry is also good.
To be honest, I feel like with their prior renewal of contract (for 2021-2023), FNC was to blame with how Rowoon was left out with all the group activities, apart also from the fact that he hurt his back and knee. I understand it's hard to find a common free sched for a 9-member group with several individual activities but why is it that they always schedule group activities during Rowoon's drama filming? Then when he's finally free, the rest of the members are scheduled for their own thing. Barely no SF9 schedule left for him to do.
Perhaps there have been internal issues as well because of this which led to him ultimately saying no to group activities moving forward. I'm just glad he stayed and is still with the group.

I just wanted to connect the gardener in the story somehow. Can't think of anything else.
