I'm really tired... This is an unbelievable situation! And I'm pretty sure they won't fix the subtitles! Like…
Episode 7 was the low point up until now. They have messed up the subs on the first part for most of the episodes by now. But this is probably the worst f*ck-up so far. *sigh*
can somebody tell me what episode is Nat and Max on?
I've just watched episode 11 and that's where they appeared. Most of the episode on YouTube has big errors with the subtitles, though (one part is out of synch, two have the wrong subs entirely).
For clarification, there are numerous dramas that have both Xianxia and Wuxia elements. Some may call a certain…
Yes, I have seen some people say that The Untamed is Wuxia beause it doesn't deal with the three realms or with gods or immortals (although one immortal is mentioned), but with ordinary human martial artists -- but then other people say it's Xianxia because of the ghosts and monsters and other supernatural elements. That's probably one of the stories that kind of straddles the genres (and it's also worth noting that MXTX subverts a lot of the traditional wuxia tropes (the Chief Cultivator is evil, the person who should be the classical villain is actually the hero, the major sects are often arrogant, power-hungry and small-minded etc.)
...and they screwed up big time with the subs this time. I've been getting used to the subs on first part being wonky, and they were for ep 11 too, but for parts 2 *and* 3? THEY USED THE SUBS FROM LAST WEEK'S EPISODE. (Also, part 4/4 is mislabelled as part 2/4 of ep 10.... but at least the subs were the correct ones and in synch, hooray.)
I'm more and more convinced that they are letting some high-school interns do this job...
I am very suspicious of dramas that are unanimously praised. Recently I was highly disappointed by two such dramas:…
Well, I loved ITSAY to death, and really liked Trapped, but I wholeheartedly agree with you on Cherry Magic! *has just rewatched the first 6 eps for the umpteenth time*
Why wasn't Ep 2 uploaded? And what is this authorization of friend's song all about?
Ah, okay. I don't know more than what he said in the link. But people who post content on YouTube earn money from ads that are inserted into the videos. The more views, the more money. If the uploader posts something that goes against YouTube's guidelines, like using copyrighted material or too much nudity, YouTube can decide to demonetise your channel, which means that you can't earn any money from it anymore. If I understand things correctly, Xiaole makes his series himself, with his friends, with no sponsorship or production company backing him, so this was devastating for him.
Unfortunately, Xialole got demonetised by YouTube without warning*, so the only thing we can do to help him is to spread the love. This is a no-profit amateur production, but made with dedication and love, so let's try and support him! *Apparently the reason is that he used his friend's music, despite the fact that he did so with permission, but there are no obvious channels to contest this decision. No subs, as of yet.
Does that make it clearer?
