Like most K-BL, I think it's actually made to be a movie, just chopped up in segments to air separately. All or…
You're right about that. The segments are too short, too out of context. I think this is a series that should ideally be binged, just like a movie. Watching this week by week is going to be frustrating.
Well, after watching the first two episodes, it was silly and funny, and kind of charming, like a low-budget period comedy drama. So far there's mostly farcical scenes where Ki Wan has to avoid being outed as a man by Ho Sun's family -- traditional cross-dressing comedy things, not much in the way of romance yet. Ho Sun's sister, though, why is she being so mean? Does she suspect something, or is she just jealous because her brother has someone else to dote on now? Like others have said, this would have been so much better if it had been done with a proper budget, and either as a full-length series or a movie directly. These super short episodes are mostly annoying, you are just settling in to it and beginning to enjoy it, and bam, it's over. But a period BL drama has been a dream for me, so I'm just happy *someone* is doing it, and hoping it can be the start of more of them. It is what it is. I laughed a couple of times. Se Jin is really pretty. I like the actors. But especially with…

Ok, Aey has his issues for sure (lol) but Nubsib’s behaviour from the beginning and still now is bordering on…
Nubsib acts very possessive and as if he's totally obsessed with Gene, which, to be fair, I think he is. BUT he is also very firm about informed consent. He has manipulated Gene, and he is pushy, but he has never forced him, he backs off as soon as Gene says no, and when Gene was super drunk and coming on to him, he could have taken advantage (like in every other BL series ever), but instead he shut it down and told Gene that they should wait until they were both ready. So yeah, he made some big mistakes, and his manner toward Gene is a bit possessive, but his behaviour when it matters is actually respectful.
At least this one doesn't pretend to, yk, have an actual *plot*Really, are these episodes just going to be some…
I mean the premise for this episode is basically: Older student gets hired by cute younger student who keeps trying to seduce him rather than study — it sounds like it could have been copied straight from a different type of entertainment...
I agree. This one seems better. However, I am wondering if episode 4 will be just like 2, with its fast paced…
Why do I get the feeling that Sun's friend called Nuea a "devil child" because he does this with all his tutors? He's like a spoilt kid who doesn't stop until he gets what he wants. No respect for boundaries. The whole episode was just an extended scene of "Nuea tries to seduce his tutor"... The question is, is it just a game to him?
So the second story is enemies to lovers as well... already seems better than the first one (not hard lmao) Max…
The subs are an embarrassment. This and You Never Eat Alone, I think they are just doing MTL and then polishing them up a bit. Or they made the intern do them for free or something
Ok, I'll just stop taking this seriously. I was laughing the whole time, reading the live chat lol Everything…
At least this one doesn't pretend to, yk, have an actual *plot* Really, are these episodes just going to be some kind of montages of cute boys coming onto each other? I felt kind of dirty watching this...
But it’s not a BL. The director made a major point of stating that before the series aired. I’m still not…
You've probably stopped watching this (based on your comment), but I'll say this anyway: I think it's tagged "gay romance" because there is some of that happening for a few side characters. It's rarely said out loud but very heavily implied (so far, I've just watched episode 9). They really play up the BL vibes in general, though, with lots of meta references to BL dramas, but Diew and Mix are firmly bromance so far.
