It feels like they took lots of parts from the Kdrama Something In The Rain, and changed parts like making them step siblings as in their parents are married. Especially w the umbrella & their workplace being in the same building. The age diff. and the female lead's father being a jerk while the stepmom is the passive one plus FL's little brother. Many things are too similar to call it a coincidence...
Angela is such a beautiful woman and looks so young like they could've passed the leads closer in age lmao😂❤️👌🏻 Credit to her regarding her acting. She has more facial expression and emotions showing just generally better acting showcased compared to her older works. I guess she improved her acting .
i considered giving it a chance, but boy the fl is bad at acting and the character is also unpleasant to watch... you gotta balance it out like if there's too much angst and drama nobody would invest their time in this. u made us dislike the fl before even making us like the couple which gives us no reason to watch.
I have to say they killed the admirable parts of the novel in the show. I really liked the part of the novel where they emphasized on neither Yu or Huang being real villain but they were just on the opposite side of the war & also the introduction of the qingzhou generals🥺 They didn't need to destroy Yu's character to create a evil mastermind. I really liked him in the novel😭 The only positive part of the changes from novel is there's more romance scenes between Lanxi & Xiyun, but the other changes left a bitter taste in my mouth... Yang Yang & Zhao Lusi saves it with their amazing chemistry & good acting skills, but would have probably dropped it if it were other actors🤧
FINALLY some things are improving & that psycho weiran bastard slapped Ningmeng after jealousy... Ning should've been more active in rejecting him instead of going along w his attempt on courting her. She did try to tell him that she didn't feel the same. It still doesn't justify weiran's violence & Ning ofc didn't deserve it. Damn that jerk. The actor is killing it tho😂 Now they have to hurry w the romance between lu & ning💯 They should've done this way earlier & given more place to their journey of building their own company.

The summary gave me cold feet even before starting watching... it's too heavy and I hate misunderstanding plot. If I were to watch the male lead would be the only motivation😂

Idc if the most handsome and talented actor is in cast. It will be a waste for me regardless. I love YY &he is one of my fav Chinese actor but I still won’t watch it. I don’t watch dramas for the cast but for the plot. If I want action I’ll watch Vagabond or Healer which both have romance. I will never waste my time on watching the Chinese government boasting it’s whatever even if it has my favourites. It’s a matter of principle. It is still a waste of chemistry btw.💯😉

yeah i noticed that. I guess they'll make xiyun grief harder for both her dad & brother when the time comes. they both have to die in order for her to be the King Qing in the novel🔥 about ren.. i didn't notice him.. ahh i hate him sm😭😭 esp when he tried to persuade Lanxi to take feng qiwu as consort😤
