Oh LMAO hahaha . To me that absolutely does not count as a love triangle, it's just an outsider being annoying. A love triangle involves the possibility of the two people who like the same person BOTH having a chance with that person, however slim the third person's might be. There is absolutely none of that here. And the storylines with Zhenxin are mostly there to make the relationship of the leads even stronger
Well said. I am in complete agreement with you. I’ve watched several dramas, both Chinese and Korean, that also…
I really hope that studios take notice on the popularity of this drama and realize that we like fluffy, happy things when they are well done. I hate when they write bland, corny, uninteresting characters and then blame it on the general plot of the story instead of the poor writing and character development
Meeting You! Out of all the school cdramas I've seen i really think it's the most similar, while also being a different story. It also doesn't have love triangles or dumb misunderstandings, the leads are inseparable and the male lead is introverted and smart while the female lead is bubbly and extroverted. I can't recommend it enough
i think lately there has been a serious lack of cdramas or kdramas where characters are allowed to just be happy and their stories to be cute, as if having fluffy, soft, happy plots somehow means that stories are bad, and that sad endings elevate stories. I felt blindsided by tragic endings multiple times in the past couple of years by movies and dramas that looked like they would give me a happy story, and to be frank I am not here for the "IT'S REALISTIC THAT WAY" excuse, as if sadness and tragedy is the only way something can emulate real life. I want happy romances, cute characters and healthy relationships! It has come to the point where I don't watch romance stuff until it finishes airing or unless it's based on something that has already been finished so I can be sure it won't have a sad ending, so this drama was such a healing balm for me.
I am missing them already!!! can someone please share a few other c-dramas similar to this?
Meeting You! I added it to the recs here if you want to read a more detailed explanation of their similarities, but it also doesn't have dumb misunderstandings or love triangles and it's very heartwarming
The love that I have for this drama. I've watched it three times and I've just now added it back to my watch list…
I've watched it three times as well! I love it so much. I still feel it's way too underrated for how good it is. It has so much physical affection that isn't kisses, more than I've seen in any other cdrama of the same genre, and it really made it stand out for me. I think I'll rewatch it again too lmao
Man I really didn't want to believe people when they said Ahn Bo Hyun wasn't right for the role because in the webtoon he's supposed to be much softer, but I am starting to feel it :(
I am once again pushing the Meeting You agenda. If you guys are looking for something sweet and cute with little conflict and leads who only have eyes for each other, give Meeting You a chance! The male lead has social anxiety and is closed off, and the female lead is bubbly and extroverted. They are opposites and make each other better because of it. It also has no love triangles or dumb misunderstandings
this drama is amazing no toxic people no misunderstanding no lying oh my god so so good.. and the healthy relationship..the…
Meeting You is a good one! No love triangles or misunderstandings, and the main couple are literally portrayed as soulmates. I added it to the recs here if you want to check how they are similar!
Question1. Happy ending?2. Story?3. Chemistry?4. Kiss scene?
1. Happy ending for everyone 2. The story is fluffy and heartwarming, no misunderstandings that drag too long, no love triangles. 3. Chemistry is off the charts between the leads. You 100% believe they are in love with each other. 4. Kiss scenes only happen towards the end of the drama, and the few we get are really good. The only downside is that the female lead is VERY out of character when it comes to kissing the male lead. It's like her personality changes in an instant and she becomes something completely different to what she actually is, becoming extremely shy and meek for no reason.
It's not easy to play a cute female character without making her feel obnoxious, and Zhang Miao Yi plays the part perfectly. I have dropped dramas in the past because the "cutesy" personality of the female lead was so overkill that it ruined the whole vibe, but Zai Zai's cuteness is so believable and endearing that you can't help but love her
someone pls spoil me on when the main couple gets together
They get together the moment they're out of school basically, their school has a no-dating rule between students so even though they really like each other and it's quite obvious they need to play it cool cause like I said dating is not allowed
Can anyone spoil me for ep 5...the stolen funds...
It gets solved very fast and the girl who accused Zai Zai finds the funds in one of her books and everyone knows she accused Zai Zai falsely, Lu Rang makes her apologize if I remember correctly
One would think the opposite is true, but there are actually very few drama-free, cute, fluffy, heartwarming dramas that you can watch without a single worry that you'll be upset, and that aren't cringey or corny to the point where you can't keep going. When I Fly Towards you falls into this category perfectly, the tropes and cliches are wonderfully done, there are no love triangles, and we get amazing chemistry between the lead couples. Such a comforting drama, I recommend it 100%.
