Very nice Drama loved it And luckily I did not read the comments. No idea why did people did not like it. Anyways…
probably because it was chock full of rape and homophobia?? it was a terrible, extremely toxic series. read the top 2 reviews if you're still confused.
for those saying euisoo is only in it for the money...do you really think it's that simple?? first of all, acting is a JOB, and earning money is obviously a priority so that he can support himself. it takes a lot of work to make a drama happen and he's probably worked himself to the bone countless days in a row for these shows. secondly, no one sane would act in an LGBTQ drama in korea just for the money. you have to actually want to make a difference and provide representation to the lgbt community...south korea is SO homophobic, and it's incredibly dangerous for lgbt ppl there, so making money from a show like this (which wouldn't even be a lot since the production crew relies almost solely on investors and probably can't allocate that much money to the actors' pay) is not enough to be okay with getting death threats from people (yes, euisoo got death threats. still think he's only cares about profit?). no one in sk does anything related to lgbt media just for the profit because the backlash and harassment far outweighs any sort of prospect of pay. he's doing this because he wants to and also has a fanbase because of it, and he's obviously also doing this because he is an actor and needs to make a living. we barely get enough representation as it is, y'all. don't be insensitive and defame him like this. he's been through so much.
i get that it's disappointing that these episodes are much shorter than light on me's but understand that light on me had a lot of financial backing from the company that made the game the drama was based on. 15 minutes is actually a lot when we think about many previous k-bls being 10 minutes only. it's really hard for them to get investors for these shows so please appreciate their hard work! one day, we will have really long episodes, but until then, please stay positive <3
The poster shows 3 straight and bl couples but only 1 gl couple. Looks like, gl has still long way to go.
and not to mention how underdeveloped the story was. like, if there's only 1 gl, shouldn't you make it really good to make up for the lack of representation in the industry?
I did the same thing and fast forward almost everything that wasn't about the growth of the two male leads. Romance…
it is indeed true that they made yeojoon and soohyun straight when they're not. it's very disappointing and blatantly homophobic. in fact, soohyun was supposed to get together with yeojoon's brother, according to the original webtoon the drama was based on. and yeojoon was supposed to have this somewhat obsessive crush over soohyun which was...kind of true in the drama? but also not really
