wait, how was daon tricking them by getting on the bus after? he came right before shinwoo by accident.
he's the student council president, and usually they get on last after helping the teachers and making sure everyone has arrived and gotten on the bus. he said that he would get on last very plainly, no hidden intent behind it. besides, what was there to gain by saying that? if anything, getting on the bus last would reduce his chances to sit next to taegyung if that's what he wanted, since everyone else would be seated. sorry, i really don't see what he has to gain from saying that :( the council pres always got on last at my high school anyway since she had to do the final checks.
at first i thought i was the only one but i’m glad you feel the same!! i cant wait for the other episodes :) and i’m really praying that the writers don’t screw daon over TT
Glad people are bashing daon less now. poor guy really doesn't deserve it! he's suffering just like shinwoo is. as someone who was also bullied for being gay in middle school, shinwoo's troubles really hit home for me and i completely understand why he's acting the way he is. but y'all, neglect can also be equally as harmful. daon gets zero love from his parents and basically turned into an errand boy for them. he works himself to the bone essentially running the school and looks like he's gonna collapse at any given moment. can you blame him for falling in love with taegyung? he's one of the only people daon can rely on, one of the only people that doesn't exploit his kindness and need for validation.
please don't use your taegyung/shinwoo ship as an excuse to ignore or bash him :( heck, even i'm rooting for those two, but my heart goes out to daon. he's just a kid, just like shinwoo. they're both going through a lot. they also both have their flaws, of course, but i can already tell they're growing more and more after learning from taegyung, and taegyung from them. we can appreciate how beautiful and sweet daon and taegyung's relationship is while also rooting for taegyung/shinwoo endgame. that's what i'm doing :)
i just know that something bad's gonna happen between daon and taegyung, given that episode 9 is 28 minutes long. even if daon messes up tho, remember y'all, shinwoo messed up too. don't bully a fictional character LMAO instead let's see how he grows from it.
I have no hard feelings for DaOn but i can understand why people are getting a little annoyed with his pleasing…
i think it's because his parents' neglect cuts so deep that he can't easily change himself even when others point it out. overcompensating for the validation he never received and giving more than he takes are things he really believes he must do and must bear with, although, as we see more and more each episode, it's taking a toll on his physical and mental health. my heart really aches for him. people are saying he might be misleading taegyung, but i think he's actually misled himself. if he doesn't like taegyung, i believe a confession from him will make daon finally snap out of it and change his habits since he wouldn't want to lose a junior he adores so much. but to be honest, i think daon IS actually developing feelings for taegyung. there's something about the way he looks at tg that's so incredibly full of warmth and love...way too much to be platonic.
what does that even mean? don't be rude. he's fine just the way he is...
saying someone looks girly is stereotyping them. all girls look different. having softer features doesn’t make you look “girly,” because then you’re assuming that being a girl means looking feminine, when in reality you can look however you want. i’m not trying to be rude. i’m pointing out that what you said is wrong and offensive. i don’t even know what “he made himself look girly” means…just say he has feminine features or something. if english is not your native language then i understand, but these days saying “girly” and “boyish” isn’t nice since it assumes that girls look one way and boys look the other :( people make fun of boys for looking “girly” but it’s ok to have soft features. hope you understand. i’m really not trying to be rude here. but saying someone has a “very girly face” easily comes off as offensive.
Same, I agree. I really enjoy the show but they definitely erased the parts that could've served as genuine representation…
it's not really an assumption. so far, there have been no lgbt elements. some of these were central to character development from start to finish. the drama is almost over, though, and the character development has had nothing to do with sexuality or discovery. that's why people are saying that :) also, the brother was made a background character. sobin was made the female lead when she was just a support character originally. so the drama has been altered from the start. i guess we can only hope that they will surprise us at the end! i agree with you on that. but up till now, the drama has been affected by queer erasure.

no i totally get what you mean, but it's kbs. i'm not trying to be unfair :( kbs checks through everything that they air and they are very homophobic. i'm just saying it's highly unlikely that there's anything lgbt-related in this drama since kbs would never have approved it for airing. but you're right, we can still wait and see. i would love it if Soo Hyun turns out to be gay or something like that :)

you can’t “become gay,” you’re born that way lol. i’m pretty sure soohyun just gay in the webtoon, but it’s been a while since i read it. he could be bisexual. and because the drama version is airing on kbs, which is a very conservative broadcaster, i don’t think they’ll make a plot twist in the drama that he’s bi. it wouldn’t have passed censorship.
queer erasure in its fullest form. i’m not going to say i hate the drama—i think it’s beautiful and the actors are lovely. but soohyun was gay in the webtoon. i mean, it was an lgbt webtoon. he had his own storyline of discovery and got with yeojun’s brother, actually. i really wish they hadn’t adapted this webtoon if they were just going to erase parts of characters’ identities and make them all straight. it’s really sad. they could’ve adapted a straight webtoon because we know south korea is conservative…but no, they took what little lgbt representation korea has and erased it to make it “presentable.” breaks my heart.
