How refreshing to see the father being a piece of shit until his last breath š But at least now heās out of our lives with his fuckin baseball bat and his homophobic beliefs. In this series the homophobic parents are dying one after the other. At this point Yi Chenās mom should sleep with one eye open š„²
You were very free to not engage with this comment section. But you forced us to witness your homophobic ass first thing in the morning. So disrespectful.
It is cute in some ways, because they are in love, but it is also very very dark and it will get worse š and…
I havenāt read the novel but from what I gathered, Yi Chenās mother will have an heart attack when she finds out about the relationship and she will ask Yi Chen to marry a woman. Yi Chen will accept and at this point Lu Feng will loose his mind (understandably because he basically got thrown away just because Yi Chenās mother is homophobic) and he will do a lot of terrible things out of anger. Some of those things are: Kidnapping Yi Chen, SA, extreme violence and other violent acts.
Consider that now heās in his good mood and still madly in love and he showed us just a fraction of the anger that simmers under his skin.
thought of it as a cute bl, but after watching 4 eps now I'm traumatized af
It is cute in some ways, because they are in love, but it is also very very dark and it will get worse š and Iām telling you because if ep 4 traumatized you what will come will definitely be difficult to watch for you.
Itās always easy to accuse strangers of āsupporting rapistsā when youāre hiding behind a screen. Try repeating…
I am not twisting your words and you know that. Your first sentence was: āItās only good if you like rapist and romanticize SAā Then you said: āI didnāt accuse anybodyā (but it was an accusation) and then āIf you feel accused you are the problemā (I canāt fell an accusations for something I donāt condone, so thatās was you trying to make an accusation on my morality without saying it out loud) then you said āIām heavily judging who likes to watch series that romanticize SAā (And I pointed out that you donāt know what people thinks. Maybe everyone here hates Lu Feng. Who knows? surely not you.) I unfortunately understand very well, but you honey are trying between the lines to picture me as a monster with a despicable morality because I was just saying that you cannot accuse people so lightly? Thatās very childish. But feel free to come say to me in my face that Iām not clean and that I donāt have a good morality honey š„° letās see if itās diffamation or not. Have a good night š“

Oh darling, thatās the problem. You donāt know what people think. You donāt know if they find it weird or not. But they surely donāt assume that everyone watching this series is a rape apologist.

How cute of you to try to gaslight people into thinking you never made moral judgments about real people š¤”
I didnāt reply because I āfelt called out.ā I replied because you threw heavy accusations at everyone enjoying this series by saying people only like it if they ālike rapistsā or āhave a problem.ā
You are completely free to dislike the plot, the writing or the way the story handles toxic themes. Nobody said you have to enjoy it. But donāt pretend you didnāt said that people can only like it if they ālike rapistsā or they āromanticize SAā That is absolutely an accusations whether you want to backtrack now or not.
"THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!" no it is not, it's good only if you like rapist and romanticized SA, and if you…
Itās always easy to accuse strangers of āsupporting rapistsā when youāre hiding behind a screen. Try repeating something that serious in real life with the same confidence. Accusing real people of supporting crimes this serious is not edgy discourse, itās reckless, defamatory behavior. Some of you have gotten way too comfortable throwing around accusations that would have actual consequences in real life.
Do you actually understand what homophobia is and where it comes from? Homophobia does not exist because queer…
No, I read exactly what you said. Thatās the issue.
You repeatedly said that normalizing/forgiving toxic BL characters āplays a partā in homophobia developing, and THAT is the part I fundamentally disagree with. Iāve been consistent about that from the beginning. I never even argued about the character itself, though.
But for some reasons, the conversation kept getting redirected into things I wasnāt even talking about, while you threw in comments about me āplaying dumbā or not being able to read, which honestly just came off unnecessarily condescending.
So no, I didnāt misunderstand your argument. I just disagreed with it, and I donāt think twisting my point into something else to make me sound stupid was fair.
Anyway, Iām done with this conversation now. Take care.
Do you actually understand what homophobia is and where it comes from? Homophobia does not exist because queer…
Oh please š the way youāre suddenly pretending that āfujoshi who gets opinions from the internetā was some neutral intellectual statement is actually laughable.
You were talking to a woman and the SECOND your point got challenged, out came the condescending fandom stereotype to belittle the person you were arguing with. That was absolutely intentional, so donāt play dumb now.
Also letās stop pretending your argument was ājust criticizing the characterā when you literally said dark BL contributes to homophobia existing. THAT is the part people are disagreeing with because itās a ridiculous take.
Do you actually understand what homophobia is and where it comes from? Homophobia does not exist because queer…
1. First of all, the āfujoshi who forms her opinions on Instagramā line you can shove right back where it came from. Those misogynistic little digs are pathetic, embarrassing and incredibly telling.
2. The funniest part is that you spent this entire discussion trying to sound intellectually superior, only to completely fall apart and start throwing personal insults the second people disagreed with your ridiculous take. So much for being āabove fandom culture,ā I guess.
You preach about homophobia while casually talking down to women the moment they donāt validate you. Pick a struggle.
3. Anyway, from this point on you can keep debating with yourself because the moment someone starts using personal attacks to feel morally superior instead of defending their argument like an adult, the discussion becomes worthless to me.
Do you actually understand what homophobia is and where it comes from? Homophobia does not exist because queer…
But do you realize how unfair that logic is toward queer media specifically?
Straight media has portrayed abusive husbands, obsessive boyfriends, rape, manipulation, violence and toxic relationships for literal centuries, and nobody goes around saying āthis is why heterosexuality is hated.ā People understand those are flawed individuals, not representatives of every straight person alive.
Yet the second a queer story is dark, suddenly it has to carry the burden of representing an entire community ācorrectlyā or itās accused of fueling homophobia. That standard alone is rooted in prejudice.
And respectfully, homophobia was not born because fictional toxic gay men existed. Homophobes donāt need dark fiction to justify their beliefs ā they will weaponize literally anything. Holding queer stories to impossible moral purity standards wonāt change that.
A dark character in a dark story is not a political statement about same-sex love as a whole. Itās just⦠a dark character in a dark story.

I need the new episodes like I need air to breathe
Also, I totally get you because they have an insane chemistry in and out of the series š

Probably when Lu Feng kindnaps Yi Chen is gonna be impossible to comment the episode without being attacked by the morality police šššš
