As far as I remember from the the novel, there's no character named "Zhang Zhi Hao". The only best friend of Han…
Lu Linjia is Han Ting's nephew. And no, he did not save Ji Xing in the subway. That person was a random passerby with no name and no face.
Zeng Di is in a friends-with-benefits relationship with Han Ting. After Han Ting realizes his feelings for Ji Xing, he ends this friends-with-benefits relationship with Zeng Di.
no matter what anyone says that guy nam do san is a freaking jerk bro why he had to come after 3 years and black…
Yes, why did he blackmail her by bringing up the past when she came to him to ask him to join her company? He should just not mind their past, let go of the hurt she gave to him and just join her company. Also, why did he run like a little b**ch when she asked him to join her company? It made Dal Mi to chase him all the way into the mountains. He schemed her into it!
im just hating this love triangle dal mi and mr.han is literally made for each other mr.han really cares for dal…
Yes, made for each other. HJP made a brave decision in having Do San impersonate the Do San himself. Do San took advantage of HJP's brave decision and very cleverly trapped Dal Mi in his web of lies. Sadly, she couldn't get out of this web and get back to HJP, who never confessed his feelings to her.
ML is such a cry baby... He has everything. Stil crying and crying... Such a victim mentality... I like so called…
Great to see people hating on men who cry and emote their feelings!
Yes, love the cold, stone-faced CEOs. Hate the cry-baby MLs that actually feel real.
And yes, SML deserves better. How dare the girl he fell in love with did not reciprocate his feelings. Even though he never confessed to her, she should have taken the initiative. YES!!
What type of drama do you like her in then though? Her cp chemistry in any drama has never disappoint me yet since…
Yes, it was me who wanted Xu Kai to portray Song Yan. When I was reading the novel, I imagined Xu Kai as Song Yan... that's why.
Yang Yang was perfect. I don't see any hate directed at him on MDL. Must be the Chinese fans hating on him? If that's the case, I'm not surprised. They are f**cking blind. They always have been, even with Xu Kai.
There was a plot in the drama that was deviated from the novel, and it disappointed me. I think it even disappointed a lot of others on on MDL. FL's adoptive mother forces FL to break up with ML. Then, later, she uses her husband's influence to jeopardize ML's career in military by framing him. This was the reason ML became a firefighter. In the novel, when FL learns of this truth much later in the story, she cuts off ties with her adoptive parents and lives happily with ML. However, in the drama, we see FL forgiving her adoptive mother. I also saw some comments on MDL, where someone mentioned that the netizens in China criticized FL for not being filial to her adoptive parents... and that the drama team anticipated this reaction, so they had FL forgive her adoptive mother. I don't know how true that was, but I can imagine the reaction of Chinese netizens if FL cut off her ties with her adoptive parents.
In the end, acting wise and chemistry wise, both Yang Yang and Wang Churan had been perfect for me. Except for that one plot point that disappointed me, I enjoyed the drama. Could do with a little less nationalism too.

I watched it. Although I was disappointed about a few things, I didn't find any issue with Yang Yang's acting or his chemistry with Wang Churan. Nor did I see these criticisms online when the show was airing. Obviously, people were bashing Wang Churan because she was, allegedly, dating Yang Yang.
I have loved Xu Kai in Falling Into Your Smile. He is so handsome and has a great smile.
I also found FL annoying in My Dear Guardian. I tried watching it a 2 or 3 times.. and I always ended stopping at the first episode because of the FL. Then, a few months later, I decided to tolerate the FL and watched it all. The FL slowly grows on you and you may not find her annoying later in the series.

Meng Yanchen? He only gets a small mention in As Beautiful As Beijing. Much later in the story, Han Ting visits US and meets a certain Professor Meng, who asks Han Ting about how Yanchen is doing. Han Ting says that he is not in the country, he took up another mission.
I have loved Xu Kai in Falling Into Your Smile. He is so handsome and has a great smile.
Oh, I'm actually excited for that one. I love Johnny Huang. He has this laid back appeal. I actually browsed the novel that drama was based on, yet to read it. It's in my reading list.
Fyi, Waiting For You In A City, which was adapted into Fireworks Of My Heart has a connection with this novel. The same author obviously. Han Ting, Xu Kai's character, had a blind date with Xu Qin in As Beautiful As Beijing. There's no name drop, but you will understand that it was her.
And remember Xiao Yixiao from Waiting For You In A City? He's Han Ting's best friend in this novel.
I have loved Xu Kai in Falling Into Your Smile. He is so handsome and has a great smile.
Realistic as in less cliches. The novel ABAY is based on does not have any cliches you see in romance dramas. Well, except for one small kidnapping scenario, which does seem a bit cliche. Other than that, there's no cliches.
I've been putting off Lighter and Princess for a long time. I need to find some time and watch it.

It's not that it wasn't good. It is very good. And I can see the appeal, but somehow, it didn't connect with me. I thought perhaps the translation quality was the issue? But then, the same translator translated Waiting For You In A City. Although the quality wasn't great, I liked that novel so much that I almost wanted to pursue direction course so that I can adapt it. lol Note: Now a new translator took up Waiting For You In A City as their translation project and completed it. The quality of this translation is excellent.

Wei Quizi is just a good friend of Ji Xing.
Yes, Han Ting met Ji Xing before her breakup with Shao Yichen. Neither had feelings for the other until Ji Xing broke up with Shao Yichen.
Yes, love the cold, stone-faced CEOs. Hate the cry-baby MLs that actually feel real.

But the article, it's rich that Yu Zheng is revealing these malpractices when he himself did it.
Yu Zheng is Xu Kai's boss. He created a negative buzz on Xu Kai to hype up one of his recent shows that has got nothing to do with Xu Kai.

It's my issue that I couldn't connect with either of them, I guess. But I'm glad you all liked it.
