I think they will promote this drama as much as they can. This drama was supposed to be S drama, but was changed to S+ drama later.

We can't say how this one will end. I heard that the author started publishing the novel chapters after the drama completed its shooting. Not sure if all the chapters are released yet. And it's also hard to search for the raw chapters.
However, going by this author's previous works, it could be a sad or open ending. Goodbye, My Princess was one was the dramas that were adapted from her novels. There's also people saying that the author was in a very good mood when writing the script for this drama, thus it could be a happy ending.

Yes, I just saw that. It's about Yeumi and Tian Qi. I originally thought The Last Immortals was about Yeumi and Tian Qi, since a lot of people talked about the novel covering their second lives when ALP was airing.

I just realized, the ML of The Last Immortals is Yuan Qi, Qing Mu/Bai Jue and Hou Chi/Shang Gu's son. So, I guess they have to use new actors for the main leads.

Ancient Love Poetry and The Last Immortal were made by the same production team. They are known to fastrack in post-production, and yet, manage to produce quality vfx. While they are fast, they are not fast enough to get the drama out this month or next month. I don't think The Last Immortal will be released this year.

By promo teaser, I meant the trailer. Where I'm from, these short trailers like the one ABAY released, we call them promo teasers. And the "promo teaser" SF6 released is just bts stuff.

That's exactly what Jin Jiu Ling's drama adaptation did. Make it seem like FL died in the fire, but it was her friend who died. Her friend's father, a doctor, saves her. Then he performs a plastic surgery on her to make her look like his daughter.

I understand your point. But if you look at it that way, almost every Chinese romance novel is mostly told in FL's pov, yet their drama adaptations are not labeled FL centric.
An example, Love You Seven Times is an adaptation of the novel, "Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes, All Thanks to a Single Moment of Impulse". This novel was basically written in FL's first person pov. If we say that because the novel is mostly told in FL's pov, then the drama adaptation should be FL centric, why was Love You Seven Times not labeled as FL centric? The novel it was based on was even written in FL's first person pov, unlike the third person pov in all of Qian Shan Cha Ke's novels.

I don't think 2023 is possible for As Beautiful As You. There's still WOL and SF6. There is a possibility that ABAY could possibly release before SF6 (given that ABAY has a promo teaser and more official materials released. Meanwhile, SF6 has no promo teaser, and considerably less official materials released. I think they may need more post production time on SF6, with vfx and all that stuff), but I still don't think it could be in 2023.

Sorry for the confusion. Jin Jiu Ling novel had transmigration. In the drama adaptation, they changed it to what you have seen. I felt it was a hot mess, tbh. Overall, I loved Jin Jiu Ling drama, but I did not like the first two episodes because of the way they handled the adaption.

Chinese censorship doesn't allow for Rebirth or Transmigration stories. They'll have to change that thing.

Jin Jiu Ling had similar plot, where FL dies and transmigrates to another body. I won't say much, just watch Ep 1 of Jin Jiu Ling drama and see for yourselves how they have adapted it.

If you ask me, Rebirth of a Star General is a lot less female centric compared to Qian Shan Cha Ke's other works.

In this, we have romance established early on, with FL falling in love with ML first. And FL joins ML's army, so ML is always around FL from the very beginning. Compared to Qian Shan Cha Ke's other novels, where MLs have very few appearances until 90-100 chapters, this is basically a normal historical romance novel.

I recently watched Viva Femina -- What I loved about that drama is that it handled this topic a lot better than other c-dramas we have now.

After FL and ML break up due to some issues (I didn't feel like they were together.. more like getting to know each other better.. and in that process, they broke up.. but still have feelings for each other), FL comes across a investor who is pursuing her. She politely rejects him, saying that although she is currently single, she likes someone. She also maintained a boundary that, if he is investing in her company because he is interested in her, she would rather not have this investment. That investor assures her that he invested in her ability. -- Loved the way she maintained the boundaries here... even to the point of rejecting the much needed investment.

Later, FL and ML finally clear their differences and get back together for real this time. But this investor repeatedly interrupts their dates.. subtly pursuing her, which made ML very uncomfortable. ML also repeatedly expressed his frustration to FL. FL said that she already made it clear to this investor that she is not interested in him. That she set the boundaries. It is only work. They fought again, did not break up, but were in a small cold war. Finally, FL realized that she should have a talk with this investor and make it crystal clear to him. Which she did. And the investor finally backed off. Then she finds ML and apologizes to him for this situation.
--FL's actions here shows that she would rather not take this investment. That she is very independent and did not want others to invest in her company because of their romantic interest in her. Of course, she needs the investment to make it work, but she would rather not have it. She wants the investors to invest in her abilities and the company. And she knows she has great abilities.

It also made me realize how dumb and weak the "strong" FL's from other c-dramas are. They claim be "strong" and "independent", yet they need these 2nd MLs, who are romantically interested in them, to help them out in their career. Like Qin Shi in this drama. She has the ability to be independent. She can do wonders on her own. Yet, she still insists on working with her ex, who is clearly still interested in her, and make her partner uncomfortable.
