I don't mind being spoiled lol. Of the few reviews I read, there weren't any spoilers that the drama hadn't spoiled us yet. And since only Part 1 was released, there is not much to spoil anyway.
Hi, can someone tell me if xu kai's character, Li Ni, son of the emperor or grandson? I am on the first ep, supposedly…
Li Ni is an Imperial Grandson = Emperor's Grandson. Since the Emperor is dead, even the Crown Prince is dead, the only Imperial Prince alive is Li Ni's father. The Crown Prince's heir is, however, still alive. So, when General Pei wanted Li Ni to assume the role of the Crown Prince, with his father as the Emperor, Li Ni refuses.
Thank you for pointing out the right direction. I went through Douban and read the reviews for the novel -- It seems, as per the reviews, only part 1 of the novel was released. So, we don't know if it is a happy ending yet.
I've seen your profile You've already dropped so many great Chinese dramas, so you don't have to continue it anymore…
Lol, I don't get why people, who are clearly not interested in a drama, make an effort to search places online to write that they do not like the drama and that they are dropping it. What's the point?
It's hard to say if it is an original or an adaptation. The author of the novel is also the screenwriter. Not sure when she wrote the novel, but she started publishing the novel chapters after the drama completed the filming.
I have watched all 4 episodes and I have to say it is good. Xu Kai as usual is doing his thing but Jian Tian is…
That sword dance in episode 6 teaser is the cool stuff. The song accompanying the dance was also very good. What I really liked about it is that, usually in c-dramas, if someone is singing in a drama, the lip sync often does not match with the song that is playing. Here it does.
Yes for sure but idk by who - no one has posted dubbing credits online yet and I am too lazy to search the drama…
I read that since Xu Kai was born and raised in Shenzhen, he is very fluent in Cantonese. He is, however, not very fluent in Standard Chinese, but he is getting there as he is dubbing for his dramas in modern setting. It is understandable for Xu Kai to not dub for his historical setting dramas, since most Chinese actors and actresses, who are fluent in Standard Chinese, also find it hard to dub for their own historical setting dramas, much less Xu Kai, who is not that fluent.
I think you should watch it as it airs because so far the drama is doing really well thus you will end up getting…
I never had issues with spoilers. In fact, I thrive in spoilers. I also binge watched Ancient Love Poetry after it was done airing all its episodes. Before I binged it, I checked on MDL and read a few spoilers that excited me so much that I immediately started binge-watching the drama.
This drama is my most anticipated drama this year but right now I'm so torn between watching it as it airs or…
I'm with you on this, especially for dramas filled with angst. I watched the first episode of WOL, which threw me further into this dilemma. Like I really want to continue because I really dug the first episode... but I also fear that, if I am to continue watching, and once the angsty stuff starts kicking in, I will not be able to have a peaceful few weeks until this drama is done airing.
Yep, both Rising with the wind and Only for love were disappointing to me
I've read the novel Accidental Love a couple of years ago -- Only For Love is based on this novel. I felt the novel was ok, but not too good that it deserves a drama adaptation with top stars. Maybe with newbies, I can understand. So I was surprised when I saw Dylan Wang and Bai Lu were cast in the drama adaptation. Now the result is evident.
The novel is heavy romance with lots of politics as well. Best not have too high expectations bc I have been told…
Thank you! I don't mind your friend snoozing through it, since everyone's got different taste. I do mind if it was a tragic ending for the couple.
The author is indeed very popular, and she's also the script writer for this drama. In fact, from the looks of it, she wrote both the script and the novel simultaneously. She started publishing the chapters after the shooting of the drama was completed.
I think they just revealed the happy moments so far. No major plot behind yet.😙
I saw a spoiler photo yesterday on Twitter. Don't scroll below if you don't want to be spoiled: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Xu Kai got multiple arrows through his body. One one of them even looked like it's through his chest.
Thank you!

But 19 kiss scenes, even if some of them don't make cut, is still a lot. At least for Xu Kai. Very excited.
