I can’t picture her with zhi zou. First because I hate guys that can’t accept a no. Second because I feel…
Well, it's the writers you are disagreeing with more than LL. They decide who she ends up with.
XYX messed up big time. LL can't wait for a man, who doesn't want to marry her, to realise his feelings and change his mind about marrying her. We also haven't seen any further development between the two after the 6 months time jump. SZZ and LL on the other hand had great development. LL is finally seeing SZZ as a man, from my view, and it looks like they will be the end game. For XYX to swoop in and steal her back, I don't think it's going to be very simple. He literally needs to fall to his knees and beg her, even then, I don't see how convincing it can be. From the looks of it, he didn't make any efforts to win her back during the 6 months time jump. If he does that now, I can only see him as a selfish scum who can't stand to see his candy be taken away by someone else.
Episode 31 is the break up. Episode 34-35 they are on road to making up. Episode 36 will be when they are officially…
31-32 are must watch. I personally did not like 33. 34-35 should be a must, as it brings leads on a road to reconciliation, sprinkled with sweet scenes between them.
Note: We are only at episode 34 now. Assumptions about 35 and 36 are made based on previews and schedule calendar.
Although I'm not a fan of love triangles and third party love interests, I can appreciate Ao Ruipeng's charm. He needs to do more modern romance dramas. His looks and styling in this drama are too good for him to not do more modern romance dramas!!!
I'll never understand why, after a breakup, the female lead usually doesn't care, and do their work, while the…
C-drama writers need to learn from the c-novel writers.
C-novels are breaking free from the tropes, they are even mocking some of the romance tropes (highly recommend you to read Sinister Ex-Girlfriend novel which deals with this specifically). As Beautiful As Beijing is a novel that avoids almost all romance tropes, exception being the kidnapping scene. And it was very refreshing. I had hoped the drama would be just as refreshing if they followed the novel, but it wasn't meant to be. I still enjoyed the drama very much, despite the changes, up until now. Episode 33 greatly disappointed me for the reasons you mentioned above.
There's no romantic interest for him in either novels.
