Definitely a mismatch couple with stupid ending but watchable
The onscreen chemistry of the main CP is not bad, and the plot is enjoyable. I believe the ML is being typed cast for the same role. He always played the cold, arrogant, and prideful CEO.I didn’t like his brother turned out to be the bad guy at the end. It is better if it was the uncle/auntie. The supporting assistant characters are funny. The ending is stupid. It would be better if it is finished in 20 episodes. it was unnecessary to add her master character toward the last 2 episodes.
Overall is a 6.5 rating for me.
Cheesy and bad acting Romcom
The production quality of this drama is okay, better than Tencent. For this drama, the storyline is okay, and the female lead's acting was not bad. I wish I could say the same thing about the male lead. The intimate scenes between the three CP were not good, and the kissing felt forced and unnatural. Maybe because of censorship issue, all kissing scenes in Chinese dramas were quite bad, except for some good, favorable, and : .well known actors and actresses
The whole thing is so cheesy and stupid, but I will finish it because I think the ensemble is much better than "Fairy from the Painting." I am giving it a 4.5 rating.
Not so Ingenious after all. 22 episodes in and I felt asleep watching it because it was boring
"The Ingenious One" is a wuxia drama about Yun Xiang, a disciple of Yuntai who seeks revenge for the massacre of his family after 15 years of cultivation. Along the way, he met up with several friends (Shu Ya Nan and Jin Biao) whose martial arts skills are better than his.Together they unveil secrets, investigate, solve, and take revenge for his family. The drama is highly anticipated with so much hyped; I am watching it, but found it dull and fast-forward to the boring part.
The acting is good, but I did not find the script interesting. I watched 22 episodes already and can't engage in it further. It has all the good stars, but the plot is dull, and Qin Lan's character is weak. I have not seen Qin Lan in costume drama; she looked stiff, and her acting in the role is mediocre.
The only thing good in this drama is to look at the handsome Chen Xiao. His onscreen chemistry is not that great with Rachel Momo's character.
I like the kung fu part, and Tang Xiao Tian and Xu Ling Yue's characters did not add any value to the story, IMO. I am dropping this drama and giving it a 5.5 rating.
Bad portrayed of Asperger behavior. The director did a lousy job in this drama. Grrr......
Fantastic Doctor is a medical drama focused on an Asperger's genius doctor. It is based on a Kdrama and American drama called "The Good Doctor," with Zhang Wan Yi and Jiang Pei Yao.I am disappointed in this drama because the director, Lu Chuan, did not do justice to it. Zhang Wan Yi is a good actor, but the way he portrayed the Asperger's doctor was wrong in so many ways.
Asperger's has social anxiety and does not like affection. Still, in this drama, too many people hug him, and he does not react to it. Secondly, he came across as stupid with his facial demeanor instead of someone who was a genius.
The director and Zhang Wan Yi need to watch "The Good Doctor" and see how the actor portrayed the character or watch "Extraordinary Attorney Woo." to see how these two actors portray Asperger's.
The drama's title is "Fantastic Doctors," which is plural of multiple doctors and does not really focus on the genius doctor.
It is very frustrating to watch this drama, and the way Zhang Wan Yi portrayed this character was so bad. I don't think it is the actor's fault. I blame the director for doing a lousy job.
I gave it a 6.0 rating because the drama did not do justice to the Asperger community. I have a nephew who is Asperger, and he does not behave like what was portrayed in the drama.
Another epic failure of Xian Xia drama. Bad script and draggy. It can be cut down to 28-30 episodes.
Blossoming Love is yet another epic failure of Xian Xia's drama, starting with Vin Zhang, Sun Zhen Ni, Wang Duo, and Zhang Ya Qin.Personally, I can never finish any Xian Xia drama because I don't like the genre. The story is stupid and nothing unique. It has been done over and over again between immortals and demons.
The story was watchable until episode 25, and then it became stupid.
- Xia Che Cheng is now a demon, so stupid after Nan Xu Yue betrayed him because he fell in love with Mu Xuan Ling, knowing she did not love him.
- Vin Zhang's acting is bad in this drama.
- Sun Zhen Ni acted better.
- The minute Nan Xu Yue's character becomes evil, the flashback episodes to review Emperor Zhao Ming's becoming the devil are so stupid. It took episodes 28 to the end (12 episodes) to review what had happened 10,000 years ago. It is ridiculous, dragging, and boring, and it should have cut 10 episodes. It does not need 12 episodes to review the past and change the course of Xie Xue Chen
- The only good thing about this drama is the OST.
Synopsis: In ancient times, Emperor Zhao Ming sacrificed to protect humanity, setting in motion a cycle of reincarnation that spanned thousands of lifetimes. Currently, Zhao Ming is reborn as Xie Xue Chen, the leader of the Immortal Alliance. At the same time, his past love has transformed into Mu Xuan Ling, the Saintess of the Dark Realm. Unaware of their shared history, the two are on opposite sides, locked in a tense rivalry. Fate forces them together on a journey filled with danger, secrets, and unexpected alliances. As they navigate treacherous schemes and powerful artifacts, their bond deepens in ways neither could have foreseen. In a world teetering on the edge of chaos, Xie Xue Chen and Mu Xuan Ling must confront their destinies and uncover the truth about their intertwined pasts. Will they overcome the forces that seek to tear them apart and bring peace to a fractured world?

Don't waste your time and effort with this drama - bad acting and story
"Love at Second Sight" is a short web drama with 10 minutes for each episode. It was so boring, and the acting was horrible by the main CP.It would be better to have a 10-15 episode with 20 minutes each. It was draggy, and being raised in the orphanage and adopted by the bad parents, mainly the father, should be reviewed earlier.
The emotional acting from the FL was bad, and I feel she does not have range. She will remain in a supporting role. She played a similar role in Flight to You, where she was timid and fearful and did not seem to overcome the nervousness and fearfulness of her characters from the start to the end of the drama.
Please don't waste your time, it is a horrible drama, and I am giving it a 3.0 rating.
Younger Man and Older Woman Love story is overdone, nothing special.
"Sniper Butterfly" is a modern CDrama starring Michelle Chen and Daniel Zhou. I did not like the story, and it is overdone in its portrayal of the younger man and older woman relationship.Even though the on-screen chemistry between the FL and ML is good, I did not like the pairing of these two actors. The real age gap between the two actors is almost 20 years, even though their characters' age gap may not be as great. Michelle Chen does have a baby face, but the pairing didn't sit well with me personally.
The synopsis is unrealistic, and I expected more conflict between the two characters. Still, their conflict is minimal and immature, given the huge age gap. Overall, it was okay.
Synopsis: When Cen Jin falls into a low point in her life, she receives a call for help from Li Wu, a rural boy she once supported. Li Wu's spirit of self-reliance moves Cen Jin, prompting her to bring Li Wu, who is about to drop out of school and has no one to rely on, to the city for education. Six years later, Li Wu, now a successful professional, returns to the city and reunites with Cen Jin due to work. While he doesn't mention the past on the surface, his feelings of love remain deep inside. Encouraged by Li Wu's sincerity and bravery, Cen Jin chooses to respond to love truthfully.

Boring Costume drama and wrong pairing for ML/FL, too long and draggy
Fight for Love is a costume C-Drama about Love and redemption starring Victoria Song and Ryan Ding. The plot was okay to watch, and the on-screen chemistry between the FL/ML was not good. Ryan Ding is too charming and cute, and Victoria Song's character did not do the pairing justice. It was boring and draggy. Victoria Song is getting too old to play a lovey-dovey type of character. She does better playing a strong-minded character in modern drama than in costume ones.
Synopsis: Following her father's death in battle and given a mysterious warning from her injured brother, Chu Yu vows to uncover the truth of her family's fate. In the guise of the eldest son's widow, she is married into the doomed Wei family and meets the sole survivor, Wei Yun. Though initially guarded, Wei Yun grows fond of Chu Yu, and together, secrets are uncovered.

The plot was engaging, and LYN and Song Er were fantastic in this drama.
The Prince of Beauty is the second-best WuXia drama that I have seen this year, along with the Legend of Zang Hai starring Xiao Zhan.Liu Yi Ning and Song Er have the best on-screen chemistry as they play Wei Xiao and Qiao Man, the main couple. The acting is exceptional for the entire ensemble, and Song Er was outstanding in this drama. Her character was smart, devoted, and witty. The supporting characters are also lovely to watch.
I love this drama; it kept me engaged, and the pace was perfect.
Synopsis: Xiao Qiao, a clever girl from the Qiao family, marries Wei Shao, the sharp and kind master of the Wei family, as part of a family alliance. With bad blood between their clans, the two start off wary of each other, constantly testing boundaries in both funny and tense ways. Over time, they begin to appreciate each other's quirks and talents. Through ups and downs, they learn to work as a team, tackling family drama and bigger issues to bring some peace to their world. It is a story of partnership built through trial, error, and a bit of chaos.

Good mini stories about the anti-human trafficking policemen as they investigate and solve them.
Sword Rose is a crime drama led by Deng Yan (played by Dilraba Dilmurat) and her team as they investigate and solve multiple cases involving the human trafficking of children. The acting is okay, but the mini-stories in the drama deal with the ugliness of criminal minds when it comes to children. Some are fortunate, while others are not.
The best acting job in this drama is Zhang Jian Xin, who played Lin Ran's mother, whose daughter, Lin Ran, was kidnapped at a young age.
The chase and evidence collections kept me on my toes. Overall, it is a good drama.
Synopsis: After an emergency rescue thrusts her into the spotlight, police officer Hua Deng Yan is unexpectedly appointed as the new director of Tianhai City’s Anti-Human Trafficking Office. Facing skepticism from her team, including a seasoned former undercover officer, she must prove her capabilities in a high-stakes environment. Through relentless investigations and growing trust within the unit, they uncover clues pointing to a hidden and far-reaching criminal network. Together, they confront not only the dangers of their mission but also the personal struggles that come with fighting for justice on the front lines.

Good plot about an ambitious Empress schemes against the Emperor and first Prince.
Fated Heart is a WuXia costume drama about an ambitious Empress who colluded with her father against the Emperor and his firstborn son, with schemes including the murder of the Emperor in the hope of having her son take over the throne.Chen Zhe Yuan played the First Prince of Susha, whom the Empress feared, so she and her father plotted numerous schemes against him, creating conflict between him and the Emperor.
Along with it, he is an army general who leads his team in fighting the Pingling army, where he fought against Fu Yi Xiao, played by Li Qin. The drama is watchable with a decent plot, and the supporting cast to the main CP was great.
The on-screen chemistry between Li Qin and Chen Zhe Yuan was okay. Personally, I liked his on-screen chemistry with Zhao Lusi better in Hidden Love.
Synopsis: When Jinxiu Kingdom is on the brink of defeat in the battle at Pingling, the female archer in red, Fu Yi Xiao, shoots an arrow at Susha's eldest prince, Feng Sui Ge, turning the tide of the battle. But Yi Xiao accidentally falls off a cliff shortly after and loses her memory. After Yi Xiao is rescued by the Ling family of doctors of the Righteous Villa, she unexpectedly reunites with her old enemy, Sui Ge. Looking at the mess Yi Xiao is in, Sui Ge infers that it must be related to his predicament in the battle at Pingling. Sui Ge wants to use Yi Xiao to find out the truth behind the scenes, while Yi Xiao wants to use Sui Ge to survive under heavy pursuit. So the two, who were mortal enemies a month ago, must now rely on each other to survive in the turbulent Yujing City, and their love secretly blossoms through countless near-death experiences. The seeds have been sown, and amid the hatred, betrayal, deception, unrequited desire, and inability to let go, everyone is both a player and a pawn. Yi Xiao and Sui Ge can only work closely together in the storm to overcome the dark conspiracy, break the shackles of fate, live up to the people's expectations, and not let each other down.

You should watch only the first 10 episodes, and drop it afterward. Bad drama.
Footprints of Change is a melodrama that spans over 60 years, from the 1930s to the 1990s, starring an ensemble cast that expands across three generations of three women during that time. The acting is good, but the script takes a turn for the worse after 10 episodes. The first 10 episodes, starring Cheng Lei and Jelly Lin, featured more engaging and dynamic stories, as well as on-screen chemistry.
From episodes 11 to 20, starring Tong Yao and Liu Yi Jun. Tong Yao's character Yi Yi was the niece of Lin Si Yun (played by Jelly Lin). Her character and Wen Pu were frustrating to watch because of the ridiculous involvement of the Communist Party in their lives, to the point of being absurd.
From episodes 21 to 30, starring Rain Wang, she played Ye Xi Ning, the granddaughter of Yi Yi. The last 10 episodes were a waste of my time, and I watched them at 2x speed.
In short, don't waste your time with this drama. If you insist, then watch only the first 10 episodes with Cheng Lei and Jelly Lin.
Synopsis: This drama shows an old bungalow and the three generations of women it witnessed - Lin Si Yun, Yi Yi, and Ye Xi Ning in the sixth century. In the ten years of changing times, we have constantly encountered collisions between reality and dreams. In the 1930s, Lin Si Yun returned to China with the dream of opening a maternity hospital, but encountered war. In the 1950s, the hospital was transformed into a clothing factory. Although Lin Si Yun's niece, Yi Yi, dreamed of becoming a clothing designer, she faced dual career and love challenges due to her status as the widow of a Kuomintang officer. By the 1990s, this old bungalow had been transformed into a well-known hotel in Shanghai. Yi Yi's granddaughter, Ye Xi Ning, was originally preparing for her best friend's wedding here. Still, she was accidentally involved in a conspiracy, which led to her losing her job and incurring huge debts, forcing her to join the wave of reform and opening up and face challenges bravely. Three generations spanned sixty years, and each left their own footprints in the tide of the times, witnessing their unyielding strength and courage.

Good story but too many flashbacks that were confusing, and I did not like the open-ended ending.
Such a Good Love is a melodrama about young lovers who do anything to be together as they are trying to make it in Beijing. Eventually, the hustle and bustle of trying to establish their careers in a big city took a toll on their relationship. Eventually, they part ways.I adore Wang AnYu and Wang Yuwen. I watched both of their dramas separately. They are both decent actors, and they did a good job in this drama. However, there were too many flashbacks, making it hard to keep up and follow. Even though they eventually broke up, they still love each other. Still, the ending was open for interpretation instead of having the two of them get back together. I did not like the ending.
Synopsis: This story follows the epic yet ordinary love journey of an 80s-born couple in Beijing. When the most talented young man, Zhou Shui, meets the most loyal and righteous young woman, Da Ji, they fall deeply in love. They dream of a better future in their cramped rental room and find joy amidst hardships, supporting and cherishing each other. Eighteen years later, a young couple born in the 2000s stumbles upon this record of their love story, becoming spectators and commentators of this tale of youthful romance. The intersection of these two generations sparks memories and reflections on love: Is it truly worth it? Do we still "dare" to love as they did?

A mediocre but watchable rom-com. Main CP onscreen chemistry was not good.
Eat Run Love is a rom-com drama starring Arthur Chen and Sabrina Zhuang. The plot was mediocre and not as believable as Ligther and Princess. The onscreen chemistry between Arthur Chen and Sabrina Zhuang was not good. Arthur Chen had better onscreen chemistry with Zhang Jing Yi in Lighter and Princess than in this drama.
I did not like Ding Zhi Tong's character; she is too dramatic and prideful. They both were, and it took 6 years for them to be honest and transparent with each other. The drama should have ended in 24 episodes instead of 28.
Synopsis: Ding Zhi Tong, focused on her career after graduation, never considered love until she met Gan Yang, a cheerful man who pursued her despite their different backgrounds. Their relationship flourished until financial struggles and societal pressures drove a wedge between them. Gan Yang, hiding his family's business decline, broke up with Ding Zhi Tong, leaving her heartbroken and resentful. Six years later, they cross paths again in the business world.

A good crime drama with many twists and turns, excellent acting from Betty Sun
Breaking the Shadows is a crime drama starring Betty Sun, Luo Jin, and Li Xiao Ran. Betty Sun played Han Qing, a policewoman who investigates the killing of her partner, Zhong Wei, played by Luo Jin.It has many twists and turns, and the acting was good, especially from Betty Sun. This is the second time Li Xiao Ran has played the bad guy, which was unexpected.
Han Qing's persistence paid off, and her half-sister was the one behind all the murders and drug trafficking business.
Synopsis: Han Qing, a female police officer who is part of the Criminal Investigation Team, is a hard-working woman who only cares about her work. She has had a good working relationship with her partner, Zhong Wei, for many years. However, two months ago, Zhong Wei disappeared after following a suspect. Ever since then, Han Qing has been searching for any clues as to what has happened to him. During the investigation of a new case, Han Qing stumbles upon a connection to Zhong Wei's disappearance.
