True. It seems priestesses have a different kind of power though. From what I gathered from Choyeon's convo with Mudeok, their skills revolve around the element energy/soul/spirit, which is not exactly a combative power, but it's extremely helpful to imprison evil things and use them against enemies. In part 2, we learned only high priestesses (from Seolran's bloodline) bring their husbands to Jinyowon. The whole strongest bloodline is required to control the artifacts Jin Seolran created, that's why Hogyeong is so obsessed with BY giving birth to an heir. The evil spirits inside the artifacts can sense power, if Jinyowon's headmaster isn't powerful enough they'll probably go against her.

Well, if you want to fully enjoy it, yes! I know 20 episodes sounds like a lot, but it's a super light watch you won't feel overwhelmed.

Well, once people found out she was actually Naksu no one would call her Mudeok anymore. Mudeok turned into an irrelevant victim of Naksu's alchemy of souls.

Yeah, Xavier was much more interesting as a character. The writers just tossed the romance bc it's a teenage series. Bianca was also an interesting character.
