am i missing something on the romance is a bonus book one? idk maybe it's just me because i think lee jong suk looks his age so to me they don't look far apart in age, though the female lead looks older at the beginning of the drama because like her life is a mess lol. i think maybe there's some bias because lee jong suk has been a popular actor for a while so people have been watching him in dramas since he was in his early 20s and still think of him as being that age
i'm loving it. you can fully commit yourself to one, then when it's over you have another to look forward to. hopefully another one will be announced to be aired after you make me dance.
To be fair people do not often fall for each at the right time. Often love comes when you least expect it regardless…
things could change in the last 3 episodes, this is just what i think for the first 13. i agree that people often fall for each other at the wrong time, but that doesn't mean they should pursue a relationship. i think maybe a good way to handle it in the drama would be to have them show interest in each other, or maybe date at the beginning of the drama, but take a break to deal with their respective issues, and get back together when they're both in a better place. i get that teenagers can be irresponsible so it makes sense for them to act the way they do, but i just worry about young viewers who will see this as an example/wish something like this would happen to them, when in reality it's not very healthy and probably wouldn't have a happy ending.
YES! THIS IS WHY I'M SO PISSED ABOUT THE LOVE TRIANGLES. IF THE ONLY THING U GET OUT OF THIS DRAMA IS "OH, I'M…
yeah but it's the fault of the writers, not the viewers. the story is a rom-com but they're attempting to talk about serious issues (beauty standards, self-confidence, bullying) and ultimately it just means the serious issues aren't adequately dealt with. you can't blame the viewers for focusing all their attention on the love triangle when that takes up like 80% of the runtime, it's the writing that needs to change if they actually want to address and bring attention to the issues they've introduced in any kind of meaningful way.
Cant stand the fact that the leads depend on each other for happiness and temporarily fixing their insecurities,…
!!!! my thoughts exactly. how on earth can two people with so many insecurities possibly have a healthy relationship? i mean we've already seen how jugyeong is in a super vulnerable place with her appearance that causes her to be paranoid about people seeing her without makeup, and suho has already shown unhealthy jealous behavior like telling her to quit her job because she was working with seojun (even though jugyeong has never shown interest in seojun). they need hella internal healing before they can have a good long term relationship
can someone tell me why this is so popular cause... i dont get the hype at all ? the plot is so dry i literally…
i think it was just really well promoted and the production quality is really high and that attracts viewers, but you're right, the storyline is a little basic for a kdrama, there have been a few like it before. i think most of the viewers are pretty young (which you can tell even from the comments here) i kinda worry about young girls watching this drama and taking away some really bad messages...sigh
not to overanalyze this clearly very shallow drama but is anyone else bothered by the lesson/morals here? i can't enjoy the whole "team suho" or "team seojun" thing because i think jugyeong isn't emotionally/mentally ready to be in a romantic relationship. she's clearly lacking self worth and confidence, and it can be very damaging to be in a relationship when you're lacking self worth because it causes you to rely on your partner for validation. idk i just wish they had done the drama differently where she goes through her personal struggles first and then finds a romantic relationship afterwards.
i know i'm overthinking a drama meant for like tweens but i just feel like it's setting a bad example that romantic relationships and appearance are the most important things/should be the focus of your teenage years. like i wish they had focused more on friendship (especially considering by episode 13 she has like two real friends and hundred of bullies) and jugyeong learning that her value as a person doesn't come from her looks (i wish she had like a talent or passion that was unrelated to her looks that she could focus on because it seems insanely unhealthy to pursue makeup as a career when her self-worth is based on basically using it as a disguise)
is anyone else bothered that jugyeong didn't express any care about seojun being in the hospital too? like i know her boyfriend is first priority but seojun is her friend (who helped her find a job) and she like doesn't even acknowledge him/show any concern?? it just seemed really disrespectful. like if someone acted like that in real life it would be really rude
For once a drama did not force an SML's love on the FL so deeply. He just has a small innocent crush, he'll be…
i don't think it's that seojun's feelings for her are small, he really liked her a lot, but he still didn't pursue anything/make her uncomfortable even though he had strong feelings, which i think makes the character even better
What I love about this is that it’s set during Goguryeo era (since most historical k-dramas are set during joseon…
i feel like a lot of female leads who are described as strong are actually just verbally aggressive but she's riding into battle so i have my hopes up for her character to actually be strong and brave. i think if the writing is good she has the potential to be a really memorable fl
initially i wasn't really looking forward to this drama cause the plot didn't interest me but i gave it a shot anyway and was really surprised by how much i enjoyed it. the overall mood/feel of the drama was nice and the actors all did well. i'm actually really really looking forward to the next episodes to see how the plot develops
