vp storyline starts the same in the novel and series but was rushed into one ep and i still hate vegas idk how…
you don't have to like him (talking about the serie) He represent a part of humanity, with anger, sadism and weakness - Pete is the kind of humanity that is able to understand this anger and weakness (as some of us spectators also do) And like them, Pete doesn't have to forgive him to love him (this kind of sad paradox makes their relation deep, sad and beautiful)
Why did Vegas bother to revive Pete? I get that they are one of the show's couples, but in the context of that…
I'd say because Vegas has nothing left he set the hedgedog free >he's crazy but not "that" bad I mean his anger is the one of a little boy who has never been loved and is completely lost and alone. So when he's about to loose the only person who has no choice but to stay with him, he is afraid
"apo: actually, it’s like every character is reasonable.
bible: yes.
apo: actually, the next 4 episodes will be his (vegas) part, let’s see how the story goes? what happened in his life that made him do things like this and that. "
I don't really think the analysis is "interesting" in the sense that it's common for a "smile" to mean "Bring…
Yes, Pete is a masochist and he will recognize Vegas darkness and somehow later, he will choose him. As Build and Bible explained "their relationship is different".
But people put all the expectation from the book to analyze a scene that shows something else. The story hasn't started yet. For this very scene, I don't get why people talk about enjoyment, they just face each other as in a terrific battle.
Also, a masochist likes pain and can have humiliation kink but here the guy is electrocuted with high voltage in his parts by his enemy, for now I think this is just pure torture (masochism has some limits :<)
PS : I said the analysis is interesting for those who thought that Pete smiling was to show some enjoyment, as I saw it in some message, I think most people can understand that smile otherwise
It's still not clear to me how you can fall in love with someone who burns your balls ??! But as I read these…
I think people don't say it's toxic because there is absolutely no doubt about it haha
Pete screw Vegas plans and has been spying on him several time so he's probably the person Vegas dislikes the most atm Let's not forget that Vegas is torturing ppl without any emotions and doesn't know what love is. So noone is expecting a sane romance anyway. What makes it a great couple is the real challenge in acting : it's mostly a psychological game. - I think people are mostly thrilled because the scene was really well played by the actors :o
Now they aren't a couple yet and there are no feelings but hatred between the characters. + we don't have their background stories (which could totally change the game) nor we know how BOC planed their relationship (as it's not the same than the book), so maybe I suggest we wait before judging their story :)
For those who think Pete is "enjoying" in the scene, here is an interesting analysis which shows another point of view and can help understand better his facial expression : https://twitter.com/pviiig7/status/1535894132333236224
something about your comment doesn't sit right with me. The torture scene is not meant to be anything but a horrifying…
I'm not tight on this topic, we just disagreed on what we saw (doesn't mean I'm right, I'm just expressing my thought) : to me, Pete wasn't enjoying at all, it's only a scene full of pure rage. Pete was smiling as a provocation and that made that scene perfect. - it doesn't mean things won't turn different way in next episodes, as we know pete and vegas are bound to each other The more I watched Pete in this scene, the more I thought he would be the dominant one if they had relationship haha (but we know it would not happen that way)

You know, it doesn't mean you can't have fun watching torture scene in a drama (I did enjoy this scene) I just don't want you to mix words because this wasn't BDSM, it's another kind of fantasy. Now I don't try to teach you anything, I just want other people to not mix everything and think BDSM are creeps.

this scene was not BDSM. (yet ?) edit to add some infos to avoid ppl fantasy because it's a very sane sexual practice : BDSM implies discussions and consent, it's not "torture for torture" + masochists can like some kind of pain, but is not open to every kind of torture :<

Agree, I'm all for VP because BOC is showing up a dark part of humanity and how it could turn otherwise (we still don't know what is inside Pete and Vegas head and their background story IN THE SERIE)
But for now, there is no love nor desire or pleasure, just rage from Vegas and pain and resistance from Pete (Build said that Pete always smile through the pain, it doesn't mean he liked it) (this scene was so great, it'll be hard to wait for next week T.T)
Like Vegas would care about what other people think.
Of course he cares, he clearly is a two face character so the way he shows himself to people is really important (then we discover the second face and it becomes dark) Only Macau wouldn't care about what people think (or Tankhun haha)
ok, but I have some questions to ask to the designer who put this painting behind the desk :< (I mean, if Vegas has a Zoom meeting, it might be disturbing for his business partners :<)
As I also wait for VP, I advice minimum expectations for this episode (them in the same screen aaaaah)... so it'll only be a good suprise to receive more haha :x

Who knows what we'll think about him and his relation with his family after that :)
