I actually love the comedic moments and find them quite fitting. So far I am enjoying everything this drama has to offer. I like all the main characters.

I haven't watched that one so I can't compare him to it. But I have watched in back from the brink where he was the ML as well and he is giving a vastly superior performance here. in this one he is mischievous, mysterious funny and also intimidating when he needs to be.
I know that this will prolly not end well but I it's too late I am hooked. I should have not watched till it's finished . But I am too weak i knew it had all the ingredients for my next obsession but I had nothing else good to watch.

I find her stiff and underwhelming and Maybe many people would agree as well. againt it's a concept called difference of opinions. about the angry part, I feel like it's entirely projection on your part. I don't understand your comment about directors. As if directors always make perfect choices. your arguments are just very weird on the whole. so I will be continuing to watch this drama because I want to thank you very much . it's called having different opinions wtf! This is my first time watching this actress ever in a show. what I'm seeing from her is very disappointing and I am entitled to that opinion. Let's not kid ourselves about voice differences. we all know that there is an entire subset of actresses who infantilise their voices on purpose. I just don't get her voice and that is my preference but it wouldn't have been as grating if other actresses adopted the same mode of speech. if that's what they were going for.
So I finally got to watching this one. I am at episode 9 and so far comparable to something like the story of hua zhu, it is quite underwhelming. The acting, FL is disappointing. So the much talked about baby voice thing shouldn't feel grating if the supposed rationale is that all noble girls of that period spoke like that, but FL 's stands out when compared to her sisters and cousins so it doesn't sound like a thought out decision as much as it is esthetic. and I personally do not enjoy it. The FL should work more on her expressions and acting as a whole. Second the story: I guess what works against it is how much of it is deja vu from other better shows but it's still pretty entertaining on its own. The characters: - FL: Her character is the best yet, very rational and calm . I hope she stays this way till the end. - ML: I feel like I have seen the same character from the actor before (your are the one) . He is always a good actor so no issue there . but now as i am only at ep 9, his character isn't yet as fleshed out for me to judge yet. - women characters: I find myself at an age where I am no longer into gratuitous women fighting each other. I enjoy plots and petty schemes as much as the next person but I come to like more nuance in my character . so someone like that concubine is just one too many. Overall, I am excited to continue and will not rate just yet.
