So many emotions : sadness ( the princess and XJN's sister) , laughter ( XJN's father and fake dingfei: you're so bold to say that to your FIL moment 🤣🤣) , anger ( F*** that xue B****), HEARTFLUTTERING ( XIE WEI ON PURSUIT MODE FINALLY )
I am so happy with this show. I am definitely going to be adding this to my regular rewatch rotation (so few are on there as of now) .
I can't wait for next episodes with hopefuly FasTrack I WANT TO GIVE IQIYI 💰💰💰💰💰)

I agree that the pace makes perfect sense. I guess I wished the show was longer so we also have enough time for the romantic plot later on 😭😭

XW is far from the typical red flag ML we get . he cares about the people around him and respects FLs intellect and going along with her plans . He is bad at feelings though lmao. at most he is a yellow flag due to that condition of his.
count me as XW's apologist for life. can't wait to see him murder/jail everyone who wronged him 🤣🤣

what makes a great show is when the villains aren't dumb and fall easily into the main leads plots. Miss Xue having a mind of her own, and thwarting the very well crafted plan of FL is yet another proof this show is on another level

I got that. what I don't understand is how she successfully shifted the blame to her to the point that he pushed her away. she said she manipulated him . she literally was gonna take an arrow for him. she has no hands in sending him on that dangerous mission. that was the emperor and Xw's doing. I understand her rationale because she was reborn and has feelings of guilt but I don't understand why he would be angry at her. I think I am missing something.

I didn't understand that whole fight scene between ZZ and JXG.
so she was breaking up with him because she felt guilty that she couldn't save his mom? I mean how could she have realistically speaking. ZZ was eager to investigate on his own. so I don't get his sudden anger as well by pushing her like that. she was trying to say it was her fault but it wasn't credible.
i guess I have to rewatch the episode again..

I am really worried now. I love xie wei he is becoming one of my fave MLs now but no way in hell would I fall for him if I were the FL. he threatens her , tell her he might kill her or zz if they don't go along with his plan .
so yeah I don't see how she might realistically switch to love him with so few episodes left.
I am convinced xie wei is perfect for her but he needs to stop with the BS threatening shit and starts pursuing he ASAP.
