Dramaqueen

ZLH is such a good actor tbh. I liked him already as Gong Ziyu but here he is on another level.

today's episodes were great. we finally getting what we were promised and boy it's GOOD. but seriously it's criminal how the director is using the lighting . literally ruining so many great scenes.

What is scream night?

This. Iam literally not skipping any scenes. Even those with side characters. i almost ALWAYS skip with other dramas. The script is so engaging here and all the characters resemble real people

YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

EXACTLY . he is on brand though with the manipulation 🤣🤣

SAME . this has the best plot of 2023of a costume drama BY FAR.

be serious now. scent of time is objectively inferior to this in every aspect lmao

so I taught her some poems and some qin . so what LMAOOOO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

now I wanna read the novel so bad. why is there only the Mtl translation that is complete 😭😭

OMGGGG😳😳😳😳 kinda glad they went with the softer version tbh but my boy XW can't try and be likeable even to the one he hopes will be his FIL. it's very refreshing lmao

when xie wei approched JXN's father with a forced smile I just lol'd . my boy was really trying to be on his best behavior. but Mr jiang couldn't help but praise ZZ and all bets were off 🤣🤣

omg what did he say pleaaase

it was the best episode fr 😭😭😭 I didn't want it to finish

the leads don't need it . they are too hot to be real lmao

these episodes were everything.
So many emotions : sadness ( the princess and XJN's sister) , laughter ( XJN's father and fake dingfei: you're so bold to say that to your FIL moment 🤣🤣) , anger ( F*** that xue B****), HEARTFLUTTERING ( XIE WEI ON PURSUIT MODE FINALLY )
I am so happy with this show. I am definitely going to be adding this to my regular rewatch rotation (so few are on there as of now) .
I can't wait for next episodes with hopefuly FasTrack I WANT TO GIVE IQIYI 💰💰💰💰💰)

I agree that the pace makes perfect sense. I guess I wished the show was longer so we also have enough time for the romantic plot later on 😭😭

XW is far from the typical red flag ML we get . he cares about the people around him and respects FLs intellect and going along with her plans . He is bad at feelings though lmao. at most he is a yellow flag due to that condition of his.
count me as XW's apologist for life. can't wait to see him murder/jail everyone who wronged him 🤣🤣

what makes a great show is when the villains aren't dumb and fall easily into the main leads plots. Miss Xue having a mind of her own, and thwarting the very well crafted plan of FL is yet another proof this show is on another level

it's the best romantic costume plot this year imo .
