no way cz he said to the mother it was jin Zhao's choice so this would be make him so shameless. a big part of the separation is everyone aiding in the lies (which was weird honestly cz even the kid thought it was cruel) and u're telling me the alcoholic deadbeat was the one to cause this? if so then it explains why even after success the ml still didn't contact her (the one person who stood by him all his life says he's not good enough for his kind then his reluctance to believe in himself makes sense now)

I was proud too but i don't like she did that thinking he's married, I wanted that despite him fulfilling her dream and is single, she'd be mad but her excitement and leaving the pen and being the one to find him and initiate the reunion is slightly disappointing cz she's the one to allows bring him out of his shell so seeing him doing the opposite for once would've been better. the crying tho was perfectly directed

they showed the scene of him meeting up with her post accident which caused the confusion but basically she says to sanlai before going in "u were in contact with him this whole time right" so this is the meet up 3 months post no contact cz he's on" a mission" (she even thinks he wasn't in the accident cz he looks normal) but they show the flashback to what happened after his accident with rehab and how he's normal infront of her but he still breaks up with her so she can go to her mom without worries and have a better life (I think her photos and texts of how nice it was in Canada during the 3 months fuelled his insecurities of being uneducated and poor so he let her go even tho he could now walk)

exactly and it just added onto her trauma, even sanlai could see the damage but what I hate most is everyone's compliance to this fiasco (at the start it made sense but the continued lie especially with lightning was just cruel that even a child commented on it) but from the previews we see she's folded pretty fast (the misunderstanding and the painful climbing was not enough honestly). I get how much she loves him but what he did was cruel so he needs to see that before she forgives him, if not right away then at least he should discover bits and pieces while dating

honestly a misunderstanding is what he deserves after all he put her through. did he ever wonder if she'd want this separation? was it truly for her sake? he kept tabs on her and knew she was not committed to anyone so the moment he got enough money to buy the old house, or buy the cafe or even just done with his studies, he should've gone to her. he was good enough before all this but even after it all he still thought it was better to have everyone lie and dig the trauma of abandonment further? his love immense but he needs to have courage and be the one to pursue her back or this will just not be a good wrap up (it's good so far so plz dont ruin it)

oh then I hope she doesn't have residual feelings for such a man while dating the Ml and got over them before dating cz it'd be a fresh start. if she ends up doing the same thing to the ml cz of those feelings then it'd just make her as bad as the 2ml for not being a 100% with the ml. the trailer shows a happy relationship so I guess it won't be too much of a problem

can I get a spoiler before watching? is it the kind of story where the fl chooses between 2 leads who like her or does she get over her crush and falls for the ml long before the 2nd one confesses? I don't like when the fl gets confused just cz her crush likes her back when she's fallen for someone else. it has to be a clean rejection or it'll feel wrong (something like "jealousy incarnate" drama pisses me off)

honestly I get his resentment towards the king; he saw his so called friend's weakness and stepped on him to get a girl (the queen's initial feelings with for the left state but cz he had no power to say no to the king, she had to accept the guy as well and get over the left state dude) it's not his fault cz he truly would've died then but the resulting revenge post power should've ended with the king's death and the old lady. unfortunately once u get a taste of power it's hard to let go

we know that from novel spoilers but it wasn't portrayed in the drama so it made it seems that way. we can't speculate stuff if they won't show it so now the separation seems pointless. he's already mid rehab and her mom doesn't need her for long anymore so it's just his insecurity at this point and her gullability to not realise how big an event this was. the fact that they get together after the reunion pisses me off cz I'm sure she'll be all excited seeing him again and he'll find the courage to be with her just cz he's healed (he'll just be with her if everything is roses but that mentality is not bad in a relationship; if u can't get through the bad together then is that really respect for ur partner?). she'll just accept him again without thinking of that like she did during his undercover work (when he hid info ) and the 3 months pre breakup when he was "finishing his mission" as if that was enough of an excuse to lose contact if it was the real reason. she loves him alot but this much leniency is how a gap unintentionally forms over time

I get the ml's position but is the fl that guillable? a major racing accident and he's fine? yes she saw him standing and talking so let's say she trusted her senses enough but losing contact for months? and no body's telling her anything about him? was he not so in love that it warranted slight suspicion with this silence, even the breakup itself? come on first few months she was with her mother but she's having the time of her life at school and can visit once or twice in between (it's not impossible and the radio silence should worry her)

she saw the accident tho (in the preview) so cutting off contact will make her think he's dead which is worse but i expect it from him considering he's the type to hide bad news rather than tell her (as he did with his undercover work). sanlai told him it'll backfire on him and he still continues to do this. i hope he initiates the reconciliation this time cz she keeps chasing him and forgiving him and he's not treating her as an equal

Oh a breakup is not necessary then just a long distance relationship (they’re so devoted it’s practically impossible to be with someone else so why breakup)

novel readers, what is the career path like for the leads? it seems he's gonna be a mechanic/best racer/ fighter and she's gonna learn the languange and be his emotional support but no actual input to the stuggles he's facing. she seems to be the type to help her man so if the novel ends on them settling back in china, how are they gonna be financially supported? Her an interpreter and him a mechanic (with the racing winnings as a safety net) ?

I don’t know if this due to a poorly written plot or editor but what’s the point of Percy’s hiding? He seems to be driving a car normally with no bodyguard in season 1 and secretly popping up to check on things. He knows what caused his friends to split up and is secretly in contact with a classmate so why? Why can’t he just talk to Kiefer or let anyone know he’s not dead (main issue of the boys) or even tell his sister clearly about yuri since she’s freaking engaged to him and already deep. Why is he hiding from the boys when the real problem are the adults (they wont put him in danger) Also I need jay’s pick me persona to be gone post being dropped by the boys later in the series cz it’s off putting

ok the doctor is the only normal character in this drama. "take a hint"? firstly, he is obvious about his feelings towards her and she's not rejecting any advance nor is setting boundries. Has he clearly stated he wants to officially date, no . But it is still in the flirting stage and testing the other's feelings as proven when she simply said the ml was a brother without the added context that he was a romantic interest (she didn't want him to feel jealous or act differently with the ml) so it's not his fault in thinking everything is normal and the ml is just acting as a protective brother to test him till the fl's mother told him they're not related. U could see the slightly guilty look on her face when he asked her to tell him about the ml's relation to her and not wanting misunderstandings between them (meaning our relationship deserves that respect). Lastly, yes the ml needs a therapist and not a neurologist. the whole problem is stress related and the fact that his love pushed him away to study abroad (was it not obvious?) she's the one who's acting like she's insignificant in this guy's life and the past is just the past with zero empathy towards the ml and the doc. how is she so out of touch with romance? she's acting like an 80 year old year grandma who thinks romance is too late for her or doesn't exist in her life.

FINALLY SOME ACTION (fl confronting her friend). i swear my blood was boiling for how tame, lame, and chill this drama was in all its confrontations. wtf was that mom reveal with the son? "Is my mom Mrs. Siting?" Yes" he replies calmly while eating like he's talking about homework. And the way he made it seem like she had a hard time choosing her dreams, and in a roundabout way to not make her the villain, but the son will end up thinking she just didn't pick him so IT IS ABNDONMENT just pissed me off. And he tells the fl "oh, btw i forgot, le knows u're his mom " again in a freaking chill manner that i swear needed a slap more than the mother-in-law. AGAIN he believes his mother and of course the fl will look insane when she tells him about her friend who helped the mother cz "no way is my mother this evil to separate us years ago and ruin ur rep this time too". I truly hope she breaks up with him when he tells her about his mother's illness and that he'd need to stay to care for her. She's his mother and she raised him, but respect is both ways. She needs to repent and apologize first then but acting like what she did was not evil and let the past go without confronting it is not mature, not healthy. It's cowardly and weak as hell

i thought this woman needed the space and the sepearation for her to figure out her feelings but this is a hopeless case. she has zero i repeat ZERO EQ as proven in last few eps. Not only did she not realize outing the ml's friend to the teacher would result in disloyalty and bullying (let's say cz she never had friends in high school otherwise she forgot what high school was like) she also has zero boundries with the doctor (previously cz she was single and open to mingle but POST KISS with the ml and she acts normal if not flirty with the doc?) i seriously hate fls with no understanding of the minds of men when they have multitudes of experience to refrence from. the amount of heartbreak she is giving the ml is just sad at this point and the fact that she's really clueless to what's causing his sickness is just detrimental cz it's 100% her and if she doesn't own up to the accidental influence she has on him during his youth, a healthy relationship can never happen. the fact that she doesn't even realize how hurtful it is to watch ur ex/love interest enter her house with another man for a prolonged period of time is such a turn off cz this is the type of person who's shocked when a partner breaks up with them when all the signs were screaming at their face. He freaking kissed you woman and u're acting like siblings? nope no, atleast scold him for forcing himself on u drunk or anything but instead she wonders why he hates her-any human being can tell

yes! Also no offense to the fl but why is she trying to parent with zero skills? her parents started the sponsorship and it should've continued with them. it's not like he was a kid. he's 19 and that's a gray area for actions to be misinterpreted cz they're not exactly kids anymore. I dislike her parenting actually, it breeds stress and emotional trauma and unfortunately we can see it quite well with the ml cz of his original trauma with his family. she doesn't cz it's a natural thing for a perfectionalist like her. the fact that she believes traveling abroad is what caused his headaches and insomnia shows she's still ignorant to pain (it's not a bad thing but it's why ppl with different life experiences struggle understanding one another and are not compatible) i thought she'd get it after what happenened with her husband but it seems she still needed to see it with the ml to figure that out
