Am I the only one who viewed the first 2 eps and found it compelling?! The 3 leads all have complex family histories and the tone of the actors is cold and subtle. I can't wait to see how each of them plays out their childhood trauma and adult desperation.

I disagree. I find her emoting, subtle and pretty realistic, for a child who has an abusive mother and has grown to be a desperate adult. I'll be staying for the duration. I think she has hidden depths.

Aside from the rec's already here (I really enjoyed Hidden Love, and Lighter and Princess was pretty good), "Meet Yourself", is a must watch IMO! It's slice of life and a true slow burn (spoiler: the leads get together very late in the show) Another highly recommended non-toxic romance is "You Are My Hero" (aka "You are my city and fortress") which stars Sandra Ma and Bai Jingting...who also stars with Zhao Jin Mai in "Reset" - a thriller, and not calming at all. But nonetheless HIGHLY recommended for her incredible acting.

Dispatch were actually on side with LSK though. All of their stories were attacking the Gangnam police dept., and defending LSK. It seems Dispatch have their favourites and PMY is , sadly, not one of them

I know I will get backlash for this comment but I just can't help myself... Unless Son Ye Jin is willing to pay someone else for childcare (child raising) I can't imagine she has time to return to work. Consider how much work the child's other parent - Hyun Bin - has been doing in recent years, including being still on set when she gave birth. She is said to be "choosing to stay home with baby". His choice appears pretty clear in his busy scheduling.

Technically the "Korean War", is not actually over. There's no peace agreement or treaty between North and South. It's a very complex geopolitical situation you are buying into here.
You could also argue that women should be conscripted, to make it fair and equal. Because reality is, it's not going away any time soon.
I am a bit fascinated by this pair of screenwriters too; originally after viewing "Go Ahead". I really enjoyed "Hi Venus", but I LOVE "MeetYourself". I just find the whole thing incredibly moving - in a positive emotional way. I've already rewatched it 2 times (i.e. total 3 viewings). For me, it has a pervasive sense of joyful peacefulness. I find that, astonishing, to be frank! I'm in awe of anyone who can create something that achieves that!
But also I think there is not enough written about screenwriters/writers in general, when it comes to tv and movies. THEY are the true creative geniuses IMO. Thanks for writing this! 😁
