So they're pairing Mujin and Mimi? Didn't expect that. But I approve! :D I'm not gonna expect a happy end for them though, considering Mimis storyline from the manhua.... And it's a historical C-drama. But where there is life, there is hope!
I don't even think we should compare the manhua and the drama as the screenplay will obviously have changes. And…
I only read the manhua now cause I was curious about what changes they've made and also to get some glimpse of what to expect. Since I wasn't a fan of the manhua before this I might feel differently for it, but while I do some comparison, I don't let it affect my enjoyment of either story. In fact, I can understand why they've made certain changes. I'd like to think of it like they complement each other. And it's fun discussing. :)
No, in the manhua, they fall in love quite slowly and they “confess” in a rather non-orthodox way. Only in…
Agreed. Maybe they've added in some nice things for us later in the drama. From the previews they seem to be spending some time at the Khans court, which they never did in the manga. I'm looking forward to that. Though I look forward to everything outside of Tang territory. Was getting a little bit bored with that. But that's because I prefer Sun in his Turk style more than the Tang xD

This part of the manhua I do miss. In the drama they're only hinting at how he was before, but we never get to see it, so we loose out on actually seeing and feeling his transformation. I can understand to a certain degree though why they decided to rush certain things, such as letting him find out early who she really is. Cause honestly, dragging that out for 20 episodes, like they do in many other dramas, would have just tried our patience if it had been poorly executed. I feel like by doing it this way they avoid dragging certain plots on for too long. And honestly, while I like Leo, I'm not sure he would have been able to pull off Ashina Sun as he was in the manhua before he met Changge.

CG got really ill due to constant exhaustion and cold while working to best the Ashina clan. When she walked barefoot…
I understand to a certain degree. However, I have to say, I'm a bit relieved they didn't include her illness in the drama. Thats a death sentence in drama land. Not that we're guaranteed a happy ending, but it ups the odds a bit I think. Her illness in the manhua always gave me the "unhappy ending coming right at us" vibes.
As for them not wanting to go against and hurt each other, I'm assuming that's coming. Those storylines are still ahead of us. I mean, she didn't even know she was fighting against him, and either way she hasn't developed the strong feelings for him the way he has. And she has trust issues at that. And as for him, I think the choices he made regarding Shuo Province were already the best he could do for her (from his perspective). So I think we'll get there.
I love this drama, and the actors are amazing, but am I the only one not getting the CP feels??? Like what I mean…
By this point in the manhua they didn't know each other, they didn't meet until Changge surrendered Gongsuns head and Shuozhou to him, and then he decided to take her in as his strategist and took her to the grassland. He of course thought she was a guy, it took some while before he found out"he" was in fact a "she" (that part is quite funny). He considered her a "brother" until that point. So the drama has added a lot of interactions between the two, and he found out her real identity a lot faster.
I feel like they did Du Ruhui dirty by portraying him as a worse guy than he actually was. Wei Zheng, Chang Ge’s…
I'm thinking they might rectify his image later in the series, since he isn't considered a bad guy in history. I think he just worries to much about all that could happen, and likes to take care of anything that might threaten the Tang, by whatever means necessary. I absolutely love his and Fangs bantering though LOL
Monday to Wednesday from what I can see. They've released 3 episodes a day since the start, and will have catched up with the Chinese release on Wednesday, so I'm assuming 2 episodes Monday to Wednesday starting next week.
Really rare that we can have the English sub on Viki on the same day that the episodes are released in China, it usually differs at least a day. So maybe for once I won't have to spoil the series for myself by watching the raw episodes before the subtitled ones are out. xD
Just finished re-reading the Manhwa, ah how much I love this story. There are so many scenes I hope we’ll get…
I love the conversation between Sun and her uncle, where her uncle mentions that he might allow him to marry Changge. And he's like: "Oh I could marry her? Hadn't thought of that." cracked me up. Like, what else were you planning? Lol
I've been wondering the same. Haven't seen anything so far that's indicated they'll be doing that part, which…
The hairpin (?) the uncle made for her mom hasn't been featured at all either, so I am a bit sceptical as to whether they'll really dvelve into that part of her story.
I wonder if they’ll follow the plot of ChangeGe and Ashina Sun discovering their roots as well. Because of that…
I've been wondering the same. Haven't seen anything so far that's indicated they'll be doing that part, which would be a shame. But we'll see, we still have a long road ahead of us. There are after all 49 episodes, and I suppose they don't want to spoil everything from the start.
