Hahaha, I've laughed so much at your comments lately, this one included. I actually couldn't agree more, I was thinking the exact same thing. Especially with Changge. She won't get it until you tell her straight out. Of course you need to show her as well, but that doesn't mean words aren't necessary.

What they're going to do with over 50 episodes is beyond me.... There are a lot of characters to follow though. But still.

I know, I totally agree. I'll have to see if I wanna continue this or not at a later point. Right now I'm not feeling it at all...

I'm waiting for the drama to "fix" this. They still have time. I mean, it would be historically inaccurate to keep making him look like the bad guy all the way to the end. I think they're doing it intentionally, making him look bad, and then in the end even Changge will have to see him in a new light. And vice versa for that matter.

It's interesting that we can have so many different opinions. I'm the exact opposite of you, I think both of them are very well-written characters that make sense. They're in their teens, and have grown up sheltered in the royal family. They're not supposed to know everything. And even smart people make stupid decisions sometimes, cause no one is perfect and no one knows everything. When it comes to the 2nd FL, she is also extremely timid, and naive. She knows even less about the world than the FL does, who seems to have at least some sense about how the world works. I can also get a bit frustrated with both of these characters at times, but I also understand where they're coming from. And I'm enjoying their journey of growth very much.

I agree that the directing here is terrible. (story isn't too far behind) I first thought that there was a lot of bad acting going on, there's zero feeling, but after a while I realized that it's probably the directing that's really really bad, and it's affecting how the actors play out the scenes. It's so obvious they want it to be a second Yanxi Palace, even the music is pretty much the same. And it annoys me! Probability the editings fault, as mentioned below. There hasn't been one single original thing happening so far, and the dialouge is not impressive either. The writing really is no good.... I watched 1,5 episode, then skipped between scenes in the other 6. I really wanted to like this one, but I'm not sure this is gonna work for me....

I feel the same way. Coming here from The Long Ballad this one is so far rather a disappointment. I do find it somewhat funny, but so far the pace of it all and the romance just seems ridiculous. I usually like Xu Kai, but so far the only one that I actually like is Li Yitong.

Another thing I think we as the audience tend to do is expect change to come immediately. I've read a lot of comments like "didn't she learn anything from what happened in Shuozhou". But seriously, change isn't something that happens suddenly, or after just one experience. Change is accumulated over time, with many experiences. She did start to change after Shuozhou. But as you also pointed out, she is young, and young people tend to act rashly and impulsively. That changes over time. Now that she is in an environment where she is more safe, and has time, she can reflect properly on things.

That right there shows how perfect they are for each other ;) lol

And she herself doesn't understand why her drawing isn't useful, that's even more funny LOL

I'd read all the comments here first, so I sort of knew what to expect, but I still had to pause to let my frustration out. She didn't stay with him for even one minute. Not even a word before she went back running into the Khans tent. 气死我了! I understand why everyone was so angry with her... And then the first scene in ep 24 with the wine. Man, that was powerful. I almost started to cry for poor A'Sun. So well acted by Wu Lei, you could really feel how heartbroken he was. :'(

Just gotta laugh at how She'er figured out Changge wasn't a guy: strangling her and not seeing an Adams apple. That has got to be a first time anyone has figured something like that out in that manner LOL

Well, 23-24 you can find in the regular places, on Viki for example. 25-30 won't come out subbed until next week though.

Acting like they know everything, not stopping to think - sounds like every teenager ever to me LOL Changge really is growing though. The latest episodes have proven that very clearly. Previously she didn't really stop to think about what her revenge against her uncle could mean for the people, but now she certainly thinks about stuff like that. Now I'm just waiting for her to stop acting all on her own, and start to actually trust Sun.

I was also very confused as to why She'er was so angry at seeing Mimi and Changge together. And then it all made sense. I didn't expect at all that he would have a crush on Mimi. Such an interesting turn. I have to say, I'm enjoying this more and more. More episodes now pleeeeaaasssee
