I don't people that hate that romance.

My opinion it is a naturally (it is not actually slow) evolving first love story which can appear slow and boring for some. So it depends on the person. Personally I relate to it so I am digging the show. I would recommend it since I like the romance and the leads I am served. Now would you like it ? I cannot garantee.

Actually LYY is scared to be abandoned because of his childhood and the way he ended up quitting billards as a pro gamer. Therefore I think giving is his way for him to not only assist people so they won't suffer like he did from lacking in life but also a way for him to establish and keep connection with people in general. YG
reigning in his heart (her appearance, demeanor and energy grabbed his attention from day 1) exhacerbates thise reflexes in him and he cannot be even more giving to her. Thus I agree that there is a sense of desperation in LYY moves. That brings me here. He did something else that I could relate to : he told YG how unperfect he really is and there is garantee he will make mistakes in the future. So whenever she sees that she can
tell him, so he will work on him an improve. So far in the drama I think this is the most memorable part about the drama for me. He is desperate for her and he does not want to lose her. This is the perfect depiction of "new first love" imo : Intense, exciting and desperate.

Now on their comfortability as I said before the drama took the natural approach to display the evolution of the love story between two youngsters that met in a foreign country with one side being a rich sheltered and very inexperienced but lovely 21-year-old girl that discovers the sensations of touching a man body and the erotism game. And all that in a foreign land far from family and not sure if said man will go back to motherland with her. Still by ep 11 or 12 I can see that YG is starting to be more confident and take more initiatives in showing her partner how she feels about him. And if I am not wrong about the natural flow of the drama YG confidence in that domain will keep
on growing.

From what I read drama follows the novel well enough. If you don't feel the chemistry I guess drama is just not clicking for you

I explain this as someone that saves a lot because he grew up poor and he is afraid of lacking ? From my observation he mostly spend when he helps somebody by lending money or when it is YinGuo's matters. That extreme frugality on himself enabled him and have up to 50,000 € in his bank accounts

From what I collected from the teasers there will be some emotional part when he will go back to China and face his past and all that.

He will communicate that part with her and she will be his support as shown in the teasers. It has been a tabou for him for years. But now with this new chapiter he starts and break that wall step by step. This is one reason why the theme of being interested in YG on 1st sight is important. She has to ellicit a strong will from him to overcome certain things and move on in life. And picking Zhao Jin Mai to embody that elegant, prim and proper girl-next-door but dreamy character was a very smart move so people can buy into him being strongly caught by the girl appearance and energy to start a new life.
My personal experience, two days into relationship with my ex and I tell you even the physical gestures in that drama here look tame in comparison. First love is a force to be reckoned.

- ML proceeds to overcome trauma to go and watch her game

- ML is planning and go back to China with her abandoning everything in Finland

- ML shows her his bank accounts 5 days into relationship

ML communicates with her about his shortcomings and how he can make mistakes in the future so in case it happens if she can forgive him

- ML will go on a trip to The Alpes with her and spend some relaxing time.

"He needs to do more with her !"

At this point I feel people wanna pick everything about this show. Bet you had not he put his hands behind her head to avoid injuries people would be like : "LYY does not have good reflexes ! He is red flag ! First his starings are creepy now this !"

I wished the director went out of the box with her and paired with Meng Xiao Dong cause I think she is an alluring actress and that would break the mold of the very-pretty-love-rival-that-ends-up-alone. Unfornately director will go the standard-cdrama-way and makes her have a crush on ML whilevMXD will be paired with a less alluring actress playin Lin Lin

Plus guys got 50000€ in his bank accounts. I think he can go back to China 😅

I think it is his real voice

I don't understand people that criticises this pair here and their dynamim and how they communicate already to make things work cause they (especially ML) are aware of their shortcomings. Plus they show each other bank accounts without thinking twice (my ex showed me his bank statements once a few months into the relationship) ! They can't appreciate good efforts.

His character in novel is head over heels about the female. Character in drama is written like that. Basically he is the giver type but because he is courting the FL his attitude intensifies even more and he gives a lot more. His behaviour and intense courting of her enabled us to have the pair going from totally strangers to comfortable lovers in 10 episodes.
Agree with you about the foreigners. I think their acting is overall bad. I cringe with them
