She was the queen of early 00's bollywood ! Dil Chahta Hai and Kal Ho Na Ho marked the evolution of Bollywooin the 21st century ! Also the begining of AALS's main leads lovestory journey reminds me a lil bit of Veer Zaara's in that sense of a heartwarming puppy but intense burgeoning love btw the leads where Veer fell for Zaara on 1st sight and during their journey in Punjab he couldn't help but stare at her cause guy was so lovestruck.

Peak and Prime Preity Zinta had that enticing cuteness and freshness (Liril ad cial, Dil Se, DCH, KHNH, The Hero, Veer Zaara, CCCC etc...) I see in Zhao Jin Mai. Of course they look different and evolve in different industry but both actresses I cheer for

Dil Chahta Hai is probably one the best movies around with nice and inviting scenery (Bombay, Goa, Sidney) for me. And like AALS that is enterely shot in Finland, DCH also was partly shot in a foreign country and I think this is one of the rare Bollywood movies that did the foreign landscape justice. The shots in Australia were so heartwarming ! And that coupled with Aamir Khan and Preity Zinta chemistry and visuals ! Sugar ! I see AALS in the line of DCH concerning those points I mentioned earlier and other common things like love at first sight, a growing and organic relationship, nice scenery, nice background music, visual main leads etc... (just Aamir Khan's playboy character is totally different from Wu Lei's here)
Zhao Jin Mai is perfectly casted as the FL cause she got the type of visual I can believe will entice men in an healthy way kinda like like a Preity Zinta in Dil Chahta Hai or Veer Zarra. Her type cuteness is unique, endearing and not generic at all. I am sure WuLei is not acting here...
