Lol you comment as if those overhyped traffic actresses today are pretty. They are at best cute girl-next-door type. Yang Zi, Bai Lu, Zhao LuSi, Shen Yue to name a few are not pretty either still they are pushed down our throats by the entertainment muguls. And if some can show decent acting and shine depending on the role (YangZi) majority of them are just average at acting at best if not mediocre. So all in all what you said cannot be a reason for Xuan Lu not to be promoted as a prominent female lead. The only thing she does not have is a strong backer or a good company behind her that can push her.
