The ZZ story arc got the beauty of an intense but unfateful lovestory where two extremely opposed people fell for each other. In the novel ZZ decides to part ways with XN because of the bagage of the past and the separation is mutual, beautiful, respectful and sane. He is the one saying "you will find someone that fits you". None of that disdainful smell we were served in the drama just because it was obvious the scriptwriter wanted to make XW shine more. From then on everything felt forced for me.

Agree with you on this part. When it is a fantasy world with a fantastic setting the author is allowed to take liberties. If He/she wanna mix costumes from different dynasties I don't see a problem here. Or if liberties are taken concerning power dynamisms or social hierarchy one does not need to take it seriously. This is Bridgerton fake ! On this part she needs to chill lol. Now if it is an actual dynasty that existed then I can understand her reaction. But on a fake world and fantasy genre with rebirth storyline ? Come on ! I only see a need for her to show off her knowledges (well she is human and not above faults).

The drama I really think she overpraised it was that one starring Wang ZiQi and WangYuYen (their first drama). I found it weird cause before that review she was trashing "The rebel princess" for being "Tropey" while praising the other one with WZQ and WYY which was the epithome of "Tropey chinese drama" tropeying its way through its course like nobody's business. I personally I found that drama was utter shit, storyline was like your cheap TikTok weird drama (CEO contract marriage with plain jane so called stylist that dress and act like an immature pre-teen plus the gratitious "slip-trip-kiss" accident scenes) and I will never get into WYY "nosey" acting (it always seems she acts with her nose). So yeah sometimes I am like "Avenue while you are there criticizing the general declining quality of cdramas nowadays you are also praising those type of dramas that are being overpromoted and overproduced now ! So slow down girl !" Lol. But yeah I would say this is the complexity of human beings.
I think more Chinese reviewers need to be on youtube to kinda break the monopoly of someone like Avenue X so we can see various point of views of native speaking people cause so far apart from Marcus Sim and Avenue there is no one else.
Personally I did not like BL song for the drama. Her voice was lowkeye cracking. She is not a singer. Unless you are a good singer actors should leave that field to the pro.
She trashed all of the young actors/actresses performance except the one playing Businessman Liu. The veterans got her praises. Even on SOT she trashed all of the young actors acting (she said she dropped it at episode 4) so I guess Wang Xing Yue will not escape her wrath but I cannot agree with her on everything (I personally think WXY has huge potentials) : like she ranted on Moonshine and Valentine while praising only Victoria Song and the kids version actors when I personally think this is one of the best modern/fantasy dramas produced by China with a heartfelt OST/BGM and the acting all around was satisfying and it was Johnny Huang best role and performance of his career. So even though I don't agree with her on everything I like her insights and she got trained in artistic things if I am not wrong. So I like to watch her vids and get some knowledges as well. I wish there will be more Chinese reviewers on youtube like her.
I don't think she specially likes LuHan but for example she thinks he did a good job in his drama starring WuLei. This is like Wang HeDi, she does not specially likes him but when he does good or shines (The Rational Life or LBFAD) she praises him but when he is sh.t (Only for Love) well she trashes him.
On Zhang Ling He she actually praised his performance in LBFAD and saw his potentials in Maiden Holmes if I am not wrong.
