Alright by the look of it I would say Bai Lu and Wang Xing Yue chemistry, even when they are close and touchy, lacks the sexual tension of the Wu Jin Yan and Wang Xing Yue pair. I get the "two buddies" energy from the dynamism between Bai Lu and WXY. Whenever they share a scene with a slightly romantic undertone in the first couple of episodes I do not sweat, my heart doesn't skip a beat unlike when I was watching the first couple of episodes of "The Double" where the scenes between the main leads were so charged and the tension was so present it got everyone by the throats which made the show go viral instantly.
Nevertheless Jadewind is decent. It is definitely an upgrade from "The Wanted Detective" (not a fan of Bai Lu at all but we have to admit that in a role like this one here she displays much more charisma than a Julia Xiang)
Which micro drama actors are acting in this one here ? I know "Glory" was full of them
I see the horizontal short drama actors - even though some of them are originally long drama actors like Deng Kai or Zhao YiQin who played a lot of male lead roles in long dramas before transitioning to horizontal-short-drama productions !
Same. I've always thought she's a bit bland, so could take her or leave her. But she's superb in this so far.
Actually Bai Lu got a tomboyish/masculine aura . She shines in characters that demand physical strength or a certain authority (police officer for example) not the xianxia damsel for example. Her chemistry with Wang Xing Yue gives me "buddy vibe"
I like WXY alot and I also like BL. Mystery ,case solving is also the genre i like. The story is entertaining and…
Back in the day people were thinking differently than us today. I would watch it with the mind of a person who knows it takes place during Tang dynasty
So far I am looking at Chinese comments over there at rednote and by all accounts Wang Xing Yue doesn't disappoint. His acting is on point and the dynamism between the leads is interesting. I am waiting for more episodes before checking. I like detective stories in general and if after a few more episodes the reviews remain positive I might change my mind and have a look on it. Bai Lu has a masculin vibe that fits that type of character. She should stay away from xianxia damsels
Wang Yang Xin is more popular now thanks to his activities in the short drama market. They should have left it alone instead of to do a second season. Now it has tanked hard.
