This ! If I remember well none of his parents came up and said "we were there ! We gonna prove it to you" And none of the people he wrote letters to, came forwards to show the documents. Actually if we look at things with cold eyes GaroSero managed and prove that Kim Soo Hyun lied several times since the beginning.
Like guy mail the letters he wrote to Kim Sae Ron to the receiver while he doesn't mail the letters he wrote to his "then-girlfriend" who never comes forward to show the letters she "supposedly" received from her "BF". This doesn't make sense AT ALL !

The first error of KSH was him lying that he had zero relationship with her. And it wasn't the only lie on his part. At some point he did say, if I remember well, that he didn't go to her place or something like that, not long after it was proven he was lying. He had to admit it but he came up the typical "KSH says" defense. Now I start side-eyeing that guy. Why should I believe him when "he says" that his parents were present when she cooked late at night at "his place" as "he said" - the person that showed the video taken by KSR said it was at her place if I am correct and KSH came up and said it was at his place and his parents were there.
Sorry but this guy was cauggt lying a lot.

Yeah you wrote to people meaningful to you , but did you write to an underaged kid more than a decade younger than you ? Besides in your case if you are accused of something, straight away you can contact the friends and relatives you wrote to, to come up, show the letters and clear your name. Has KSH been able to do that until now ? The answer is "No".

Another event that also made me side-eye this guy is when it was revealed that she cooked for him until very late at night in his (or her) appartment and a video was shown (KSR was taking the video), he said his parents were present as well
(again KSH "says"). I said to myself where are the pictures or videos of his parents present at that time ? Didn't he KSH, take videos or photos of his parents present at that time ? Why nonr of his parents came forward to sow proof of that statement ?

Since I have been following that situation there has been a constant :
- firstable KSH says he didn't date her (first lie). Garo Sero comes with a proof that he is lying. Then KSH has to admit but he got an explanation ! He had to protect his career. Ok fair enough.

- KSH says he didn't go to her appartment at certain point. GaroSero shows a little video and/or picture proving he is lying and that he went and visited her place. KSH has to admit it but wait he got an explanation ! It was a friendly visit (again correct me if I am wrong on this part). And at that time it meant nothing. Ok Kim

- KSH says he didn't have a romantic relationship when
she was a minor, GaroSero comes with the letters and the pictures he sent her from the military camp when she was still underaged. KSH again has an explanation ! This is not romantic ! He wrote those type of letters to
multiple people. Reminder he said "I miss you" or "I love you" (correct me if I am wrong) a few times in said letter. Here again KSH "says".
There are more of "KSH says" whenever he is caught lying on different elements of that situation.
We have to be honest KSH was caught lying a lot of times and that since day 1.

If I am sure that I wrote those type of letters to multiple people, what I do first is I ask said people to come up straight away and show those letters and the dates on them to clear my name. Writting letters takes time and you usually write to people meaningful in your life. Besides the words he used in his letter to Kim Sae Ron, suggest a certain intimacy. You don't say those type of words to people who mean nothing to you.
Which still poses the question : what did represent Kim Sae Ron in his life at that time, knowing the huge age gap between them (he saw her when she was a kid) and knowing that she was still underaged when he wrote those letters to her and when he sent her his photos while in military services . Cause he didn't only sent her letters he also sent picrures if I am correct.

People who are criticising the plot here are normal viewers who were watching the world of two traumatized and unhinged individuals that will most probably never get justice for the atrocities they went through and that will most probably never heal. This drama pauses the question of a plague that has been rotting our societies worldwide and that nobody pays attention to which is : pedocriminality.

If there were a serious award ceremony for short dramas I would have nominated Zhang Chi in the best actor category. He killed that role. The female did a good job as well playing a character that has been pretending being well oh so well that she ended up being a psychologist.

On paper that role looks nice for Wang Xing Yue

As you said earlier they should do more dramas with low budget production but with the MC being performed by a rising or traffic star. This is the solution and this is what turned TWD into a blessing for them.

Yeah you said it here still knowing Douban and seeing how severe people were on MDL for example I was expecting maybe a 6. 6 or 6.7 at most (which imo is already fine for a Douban). I wasn't expecting a "7". I see a few detractactors of the show (a huge chunk of them Wang Xing Yue' haters) be it domestically or internationally acting a wee bit salty because of the DB rating of this one here.

Maybe he got no evidence but he probably got clues after years of trying and recounting the events in his head which led him to go back to the place the crimes occured so he could gather evidences with the help of some close to him. Otherwise how do you want him to gather evidences while staying far away ? Girl drop the drama.
