Talking about Squid Game and the theme of "corruption" to the profit of a category of persons, it reminds me that : don't you find it funny that everyone has been ok with Squid Game being a plagiat of japanese works like KaiJi or As Gods Will only because everyone is biased towards Korean pop culture nowadays ? Plus isn't it funny that when one show the evidences of SG's scenes being blatant copies of scenes of other Japanese works such as the ones I mentioned earlier, people dismissed it and brush it off only because SG is part of their Koreaboo culture and became a massive hit (so money) ? Therefore all of us are corrupted minions that can give a pass to a theft on the basis of nationality, money or whatever else.

A lot died from it. Some aspiring "idols" lost their "their dreams" cause they bully past got exposed. The actor Ji Soo fell out of grace cause he was exposed as a bully perpetrator when he was younger.
Hi guys here is a comment I posted on another drama MDL page title "King of Pigs" dealing also with the theme of school violence and bullying with actors like Kim Dong Wook. Guys you need to be strong to watch this drama as well. Still it is good and very underrated. Concerning my comment I wanted to post it here as well cause both dramas have a lot in common and deal with trauma and revenge (and in both dramas the victims are played by popular traffic actors like Kim Dong Wook and Song Hye Gyo). Sorry if my comment may sound too political but on what is happening in those schools in Korea the only analogy I can think of is what I describe below.
"This bullying situation that I see in kdramas or Jdramas fascinate me because they depict perfectly a part of my life I have been witnessing since I opened my eyes to this world. Indeed it reminds me of the relationship between African people, African (so called) presidents and powerful western countries' oligarchs.
The African people would be the Hyung Min or Jong Suk (more of the Young Hyung Min though) of that relationship chart. They have been physically (sexually included), psychologically, economically violated to the point all of them have developped some kind of nevrose since they are the weakest with no strong defense/backing at all. They have become numb. A minority try and fight back but the vast majority just wanna live in peace with what they have (sometimes nothing). Unlike Hyung Min (or Moon Dong Eun in this case here) they don't grow up and revenge. Certain persons make sure it never happens.
Speaking of certain persons lead me to the 2nd actors of that relationship chart : The African (so called ) presidents and members of their clans ! They remind me of the bullies like the 1st one that was killed by Hyung Min (in this case here it would be Myeong O). They are soulless brutes that are the most physically violent against "their preys" and whose main job is to make the lives of said preys (here the African people) a misery on daily basis. And believe me they do their utmost best at their morbid job. Thinking of this they are the lackeys like Jae Joon put it perfectly. They are completly driven by corruption so they help their bosses strip the lands out of their natural ressources to the profit of said bosses and themselves. With them only a dusty landscape of poverty prevails. By doing that a culture of prostitution is established whithin the masse that is busy and survive (therefore they can never revolt even though one kill members of their families).
The western powerful oligarchs and their associates remind me of Kang Min (Yeon Jin and Jae Joon in our case). The leader of the bullies. The brain behind all of that tragedy. Like Kang Min (or Sa Ra here) there is strong probability they are hard druggies. Those sadistic beings convince you that the devil exists. Everyone take their sidebecause they appear "good looking" and they are "rich". But beneath all of that good appearance they are rotten to the core. They are also the ones that install those (so called) African presidents and their clans at the head of said African states to make sure they keep their preys check and in that state of structural mental, spiritual and physical weakness and slavery. They are cold soulless sadistic beings African people were cursed to live in the same planet with.

What you said about people glossing over their sins reminds me of how genocide perpetrators, who have been imposed by France (one of the most hypocritical states in the world that likes to lecture about "democracy") at the head my country of origin, Ivory Coast and til date those criminals and their followers keep laughing at the victims and acting as if they are "proper people".
