I feel it as well. Look at the way he was willing to tell XiYun about DFQC and XLH romance. Guy even went on and save DFQC from that dream. Deep down I think he knows where XLH heart lies.

No problem my dear ! While waiting for LBFaD can I recommend you some nice mini dramas ? Please check on the mini drama "Night out of love with you". It is not perfect technically cause mini drama on budget but it is entertaining and kinda poke a fun at the various tropes we have been seeing in cdramas. This show, for what it is, got a 7.9 on MDL for a reason. The Male lead is not the most handsome dude but he becomes attractive with each episode and his character always wear black like DFQC 🤭. Cause XianXia genre has been crappy and tired lately + Dylan being known as not such a great actor (was called another pretty faced mediocre actor) + team behind it being rather new + competing with dramas with bigger names.

That is why I replied that through what I have seen, especially in the earlier episodes, her naivety was also linked to stupidity and I gave at least three examples of that in my second reply here that @Tapegecu couldn't deny. And I also added that being caring and having empathy is something all of those pure innocent heroines have (even in modern drama). XLH does not strike me as different from any other FL character I have seen recently.

XLH is not different from other cdrama FLs we have been served lately. Indeniable fact. That's not even a debate. Therefore I don't believe that statement of them saying that she was written different.

This drama made me cared for the Moon people situation. I didn't cry when DFQC cried when his emotions came back. But I cried at the scene of those women praying in front of those faceless statues. I was not specially touched when DFQC and Orchide kissed by the river, but I was touched when DFQC and CH played the Guzheng to bring peace to the tortured souls. Taking a character like DanYin who would have been the typical two dimensional bully B in other crappy shows and make her literally my fav Female character in the show. This is when you know that team cared for what they were doing. Kuddo to XunFeng writting as well. He shined in the two latest episodes for me.

Her character is nothing different from what cdramas have been serving lately. That's it ! Another character I see with the same toddler mimics is ChuChu in "imperial coroner" played by for example. Just ChuChu is written as a genius coroner and XLH is a fairy.
