I was thinking how brilliant he is in this!! Those minute expressions and his controlled dialogue delivery and those eyes!!!! I am really enjoying his "cold, arrogant but brilliant CEO" character a lot.
How and where you found this.. this is 🔥 🔥.. but disclaimer.. It better not be the scene from their past…
Honestly, between Su Guogong and now Mr Pei, my “after midnight and in bed” situation has been a bit..interesting 😁 I LOVE men who lead and also let their partners choose the pace while also pushing when they have to and also talk about feelings 🥹 So please, let the thoughts fly 😇

Okay I just re-read your comment and turns out I registered only the “saw it 6 times” bit. Now, I see the “after midnight and I’m in bed” bit and this has taken on a whole new context in my head 🤣🤣🤣 I sincerely and most fervently hope it is PWW 2.0 in that bath tub scene with LR 🤣🤣🤣
The best quality of this couple is still resolving misunderstandings. They talk it out and theyre good again.…
My fav bit about them, too! I was just thinking how it’s all so normal - like a couple who work in the same office together and have an excellent professional relationship (with her as the boss and him a junior) and then they come back home and the dynamics are slightly different and they are talking about their emotions and feelings and asking each other if they’ve eaten and slept well and what have you. So comforting and comfortable 😊

Pei Wen Xuan's smirk and his arrogant/confident pose seems like his current life version LOL! He was too timid and permissive in his previous one and would most likely not have sprawled by Li Rong's bath the way he does :))))
She was living with another man for almost 20 years; they were separated; the premise being he was in love with…
This.
Also, I am confused by the comments about the book vs drama. Did she ask for a divorce in the drama? I seem to remember that it was him telling her that they would stay apart and live separate lives. Was it not so?
Yeah.. and people are like "omg.. why is PWX such a simp..." and "geez louise can LR make up her mind.." honestly…
I think she loved him too but I don't think she ever knew or understood him (or even knew how to!). And the same goes for him, too. It's easy to forget that they were both so damn young and in the throes of their new-found love! I believe the whole issue with ZhenZhen popped up when they were both still figuring each other out which is why he was hesitant to explain and she was quick to assume. Also why she was so deeply hurt. And then that love simply turned to resentment and SRQ was the band aid to stick on the hurt.
I am really enjoying the way she's evolving in this lifetime with how she's taking the effort to know him. And also how she's taking a leaf from his book and communicating her thoughts and feelings and even going as far as to admit that it makes her uncomfortable doing so :) That is some growth!
I love your viewpoint. And there is no way she would marry him. I loved with PWX told him LR would never say yes.
It seems like Li Rong was onto something and almost asked him if he was reborn too as he was leaving the pagoda. When he said something like "Pei Wen Xuan won this time." I remember Wen Xuan also having his doubts during one of the initial episodes.
With all the focus on the "the greatest cheating scandal of the Xia dynasty", a couple of things come to mind -
1) Taking someone other than your "wife/husband" to bed did not have the same connotation back then as it does now. It's a bit strange to be judging what happened then based on what is known now. 2) The men were "allowed" multiple partners. The women did it discretely. I applaud Li Rong for having the audacity to openly take someone, and that too a castrated male, to bed AFTER declaring her intentions to Pei Wen Xuan and him not saying or doing anything about it. 3) She might or might not have slept with Su Rong Qing. I do not care. I only care if she chooses to go down the same path in her current life after Pei Wen Xuan declares his intentions and feelings for her and openly communicates with her. Then I will be curious as to why she would choose Rong Qing over Wen Xuan. 4) Pei Wen Xuan had the choice to take other women to bed too. He chose not to do so. Does not make his contribution towards the breakdown of his marriage any less. 5) Su Rong Qing was a willing participant in all of it. He knew Li Rong was a married woman and yet, he chose to use her vulnerability against her. How then does it make Li Rong the villain? 6) Pei Wen Xuan is not any less of a man for how he is treating Li Rong now. If anything, to me, he is more of a man than ever. Go him! 7) Would it have been any different if she hadn't slept with Su Rong Qing but relied on him only emotionally? I don't think so.
Honestly!!! He's been so consistent in this aspect right from his first drama eh! He even makes those dead-fish kisses look so damn good (if I remember that drama where he was a swimmer or some such)!
SRQ , Poor guy isn't accustomed to having a dick in this life so he made it his whole damn personality 💀 (not…
LOLOLOL!!! Something else that cracked me up was when Su RongHua tells Shanguang Ya "So, are you trading a cock for my brother now?!" or some such during one of their earlier encounters hahaha
Love the female besties group! So good to see how Li Rong and Qin ZhenZhen are now bosom buddies and partners in crime :)) I almost forgot that Li Rong hated her cos of Pei Wen Xuan back in her old life! Circumstances and perceptions do build or break relationships.
