I was hoping for real shopping CC been wearing same 3 outfits
I think of it as Chi Cheng being unbothered about his clothes š Man lives alone and his faithful grape-eating sidekick whose name I forget is probably who does his laundry hahahaha! But he loves dressing up his Da Bao.
cc's smirk when wsw bit his neck. he's freaky š„šhttps://x.com/rcdstring/status/1946190889140748503?t=ki65a9DCjkVnlNNDceP3bQ&s=19
Chi Cheng is a sadist who gets off on his partners being in painā¦seems heās got a masochistic streak too š„¹ Xu Ningās expression and the voice actorās grunt went oh so well together in this scene! š„ š„ Thanks for the gif!
He's possessive, domineering and a sadist (he gains pleasure from hurting his sexual partner-- think Christian…
I think heās also got a very stereotypical view of what intimacy means between men and thinks he doesnāt need to hold back his strength when heās with men. He mentioned something of the sort to Da Bao if I remember right.
From a different perspective, Dabaoās character is written as a straight man, and this was his first time initiating…
I thought so too. I donāt look at any of their physical/intimate interactions as a sign of emotional closeness but more as a need for possession or establishing ownership as they havenāt exactly stepped into that safe space yet where kisses are, or can be, slow and savoured. Da Bao especially has serious abandonment issues (and the guilt about his deception) and it is insinuated that his relationship with Yue Yue wasnāt full of intimacy or emotional closeness either. Chi Chengās kisses are so dominating as thatās who heās always been and maybe even more so after his fallout with Wang Shou - he needs to be in control and only looked for the thrill and gratification that came with the act. Throughout the series I noticed that the times he is calm is when Da Boa is having an emotional breakdown about wanting to be the only person in Chi Chengās life. And, Da Baoās kisses are more of a dare - as if he wants to prove to himself that he can. So ofcourse the way he kisses is going to be clumsy and awkward.
I love how the actors have played the characters- Da Bao is loud and exaggerated and all over the place while Chi Cheng is calm and controlled and oh so dangerous. You can see how their characters are sort of bleeding into each other as they grow closer in the latest episodes with Da Bao calming down and Chi Cheng getting worked up. Itās super interesting.
Thank you so much for bringing this up. I started the show with a lot of excitement and anticipation and after…
Absolutely. The last time this happened was during The Untamed and thankfully, I had already finished the show by then. It was heartbreaking nonetheless to know that the world could not accept a person for who they are simply because of delusional ideas. I remember the same happening with the Addicted actors. It was quite satisfying to see them all overcome the cruelty that was thrust upon them to rise way above it all and become completely untouchable in their own rights.
I havenāt watched the show yet, but I stumbled upon two videos of the actors crying, red-eyed. Just, clearly…
Thank you so much for bringing this up.
I started the show with a lot of excitement and anticipation and after stumbling upon the posts (like you, I prefer not to know anything about real lives but in todayās world, thatās almost impossible), ep9 and 10 were very painful to watch. I couldnāt get into it at all and I was torn about whether I should continue or not as I know that I wouldnāt be able to focus on the show while remembering what their real lives are like. Reading your statement now has given me a lot of relief. I too will get back to it when I am ready to.
I understand your point about both characters needing healing, but I think itās important to remember the difference…
A bit late to the party š
Thank you for saying this. Iāve been putting off watching this drama because of how much I love Hidden Love and wasnāt ready to delve back into that world. I am now all caught up cos once I started this few days back, I couldnāt stop and, I am completely heartbroken for Wen Yifan. And it is not cos of what sheās been through but cos of how it has affected her. This kind of trauma is not something one can simply cure with āloveā. It is like she hasnāt had the chance to deal with or process anything that has happened to her since her father died as sheās only been in survival mode since. And just as she was letting down her guard little by little, someone who represents her most traumatising memory shows up. We have to remember that he not only reminds her of the SA but also about the time her mother abandoned her - yet again - at a time when Wen Yifan most needed her. As a viewer, this was one of the most difficult scenes for me to watch. A trauma survivorās recovery is heavily dependent on the reaction of whoever is with them in the aftermath of the trauma. And as a child, the reaction and reassurance of their caretaker/s is very very important and here we see Wen Yifan coming to the scary realisation that no adult is on her side. Itās no wonder she runs when she sees the uncle cos to her, Sang Yan still doesnāt count as an adult. He is a part of her childhood and so still a child in her mind when she goes back into survival mode and so it never even occurs to her that she can turn to him for support. Instead, she goes back to the instinctual response of wanting to save him cos he represents the good bits of her childhood (and again, a child who cannot do anything in this situation) and she doesnāt want to taint him. The scene where she confronts the mother, the aunt and the uncle is so well done cos she thinks she has the power to do it now cos she is an adult but you clearly see how she is doing it from the space of her inner child. I feel for her so so much.
I have faith in Sang Yan and Si Qiao. I like how SQ came to the realisation that she only thought about herself and how she felt when WY left but now understands that she needs to focus on why WY left. Thatās a good friend right there.
I remember seeing talk this role would've been better done by Leo Wu. (Wonder if anyone would still argue that...)…
I agree! Precisely what I was thinking too while watching this. Loved his quiet confidence and the control heās got in his body - it was like he was almost floating in some of those stunt scenes even in heavy armour!
After Duke Su, heās my favourite (almost) Duke Ding ššš
I still donāt think Tae-su is behind Ji-suās death. Maybe he was just trying to help her through what she…
Looks like Ji Su was conflicted about her feelings for Ha Bin and carried a lot of guilt wrt that too. Seems like jiSu and TaeSu were at odds because of HaBin and that is what led to her death.
LSH and JHB were in love. So the mother of JHB accidentally or purposely killed LSH to make JHB live like a normal…
Maybe the teacher is who found out about the girlsā relationship and threatened them. Maybe LSH had to do something shady for the teacher to make him quiet. Maybe Jisu found out about the relationship through the teacher and he was hoping to blackmail her (along with the landlady). But then Subyeon ran away and ended up locked in the basement under CYMās thumb and she ran away to Jisu and got killed either by Jisu or the teacher. Maybe CYM knows the teacher and landlady are working togther which is why he is controlling her
Ok we got answers. Habin probably dated Suhyeon or Habin's mom believed so or Suhyeon liked Habin (In the trailer…
Why is Jisuās phone screen showing the photo? Did she perhaps change the connection to her name after killing Suhyeon? But if so, why does Ha Bin have the phone? Did she get it from Song Min? And yea, seems HaBin didnāt know that Suhyeon was deadā¦seems they had a falling out or something going by the way the photo was destroyed

I hope these two young men can do the same.

Sending them a lot of love and healing ā¤ļøā𩹠They do not deserve this.

Seems there is more to the story about her brotherās death too.
Sooo many questions and its soooo good šš
