I thought nobody could be more annoying than the doctor, but the Princess is offering her a really good competition.…
I thought the same. Maybe there’s more to his story than a one-dimensional villain type. He said he was off to gaurd the border with his father and that seemed like something important. The emperor too seems to be hiding something. And who was it that died from the PM’s family? The oldest son? So much intrigue!!!
That sneer of Feng Suige in Episode 12.. 👄 Chen Zheyuan never ceases to amaze me.. Uff. He has infused so much…
For real! I also love that they addressed his pretty-boy looks via Yixiao too! He IS so beautiful here and getting it addressed early on made it easier to focus on his character hahahaha!
Damn, it's hard to resist Cheng Lei when he smiles like that and plays a good guy. I don't blame FL for being…
He's gorgeous here! The voice actor is also so good and the styling just adds to his charm! Overall one of my favs so far of his characters after A Familiar Stranger :)
The directing is good and editing as well, what arw you talking about? To hate again? Did you watch on Youku app…
Hate? Woah! That’s a strong word! Is that what you gathered from me expressing what I thought? 🥹🥹 I didn’t say the budget was low - I said the directing & editing was bad. The scenes are choppy, the flow is erratic and I am getting whiplash from the way the caner pans around the scenes while characters are talking. Takes me completely out of the story and that is bloody annoying!
Aaahhhhh why have actors like Arthur and Ying Lu and have such poor directing and editing?!?!!!!! And what is this constant close-ups of Arthur’s face? Aiyaaaa I am so mad!!!!! I was so looking forward to this especially to see the possibility of what Mo Ran would be like cos Sima Jiao resembles him LOL. They’re both doing such a wonderful job despite everything and I am mad at the possibilities that we have been robbed of! 😭😭😭😭😭
I love the snake! Looks like we’re in a season of snakes taking center stage after Little Jealousy 🤩
The corn snack metaphor from episode 19 and how WS and WSW each dealt with getting the smaller piece was a brilliant…
Oh wow, thank you for this! Makes perfect sense! It's damn smart of WZ to understand this...also when and why he realised that CC will be better off with WSW than with WZ. I enjoyed his character cos I feel like it brought a lot of emotions out of CC which made him realise what he felt for WSW too.
At this point Chi Cheng should just change his name to Chemistry Cheng. Like dude oozes sexual tension with everyone and everything. Even the bloody blow up doll. WTF?!?!!
The show keeps disappointing me more and more. First of all, treating the snake like a pet you can call and it’s…
I think that’s the point of it all honestly. It is not meant to be taken seriously. It’s a very slapstick-y type of story and wouldn’t have done well if not for the actors. Kudos to those boys for bringing these ridiculous characters to life and making them seem so real! I applaud them for their professionalism and commitment to making this so watchable as I am sure they’d also be shaking their heads at some of the plot points going “What in the actual fishbiscuits is this?!?”” The author herself cringes at her story lol!
I remember feeling this way while watching Addicted Heroin. It was a ridiculous story but the actors did such a good job of convincing me to keep watching and I was so darned upset they cancelled it!
I am not sure where some of you is watching it but the subs in the Youtube version is messed up so context may…
I loved Chi Cheng’s conversation with Wang Shuo. I think in some ways, what Suo Wei did also gave him context in regards to his feelings about Wang Shuo. When he says that the betrayal wasn’t the reason for his anger but the lack of explanation as to why Shuo would do something like that and then disappear, it was also him talking about Suo Wei. And you are right, this does show that Chi Cheng is actually someone who is willing to work through things and is willing to have the hard conversations.
Suo Wei comes with a lot of pain about not being “good enough”. First Yue Yue who belittled his background and his character and his own insecurity about being poor and now, Chi Cheng not clarifying his side of things to explain his constant association with Wang Shuo and ofcourse Suo Wei will spiral. And ofcourse he’ll go on the defensive and push Chi Cheng away before he is pushed away. Aaah they’re both such idiots. Also, my fav relationship is Chi Cheng’s with Mama Wei 🥺 So wholesome!
Soooooooooooooo many songs suit Chi Cheng lol! I just heard Ateez’s In Your Fantasy and all I could think of was seeing an edit with Chi Cheng 😂🫣 But Stacks From All Sides is definitely his 🔥
One thing I consistently notice is Zi Yu’s smile. Sometimes it feels genuine, but most of the time it looks…
I think so too - sometimes he can’t quite nail a natural smile and the timing seems to be off by a couple of seconds in those scenes. I think it’s also cos these scenes have Xu Ning so the difference in their experience is evident (Xu Ning portraying restraint and his micro-expressions are amazing!!!). It isn’t as noticeable when he’s in scenes with Xuan Cheng. He’s doing a helluva job though and I am sold on his portrayal of Suo Wei as the scheming, money-hungry, calculating, adorable dork that he is lol!
That's what i think too, he looks kinda mad when GCY and CC shared cigarettes
Maybe Gong Yuo wants Chi Cheng to know this. I think this is also why he said that history was repeating itself when he learnt of Suo Wei’s relationship with Yue Yue. Gong Yuo seems to care a lot about Chi Cheng and wants him to understand that he personally had no part to play in Wang Shuo’s betrayal maybe. Also probably why he didn’t openly warn Chi Che g about Suo Wei cos he knows Chi Cheng will spiral.
