My (very high level) understanding is that immortals/divine beings/etc would be reborn as mortals (essentially have part of their souls ), go through their trial and tribulations and then die (or discard their physical body) and then go back to their original self with the knowledge and lessons from their mortal life.
But how YD and YY came to the mortal realm here is confusing ... is TZ alive for 20 years in the mortal realm as a fully grown adult (like how YD landed in that bedroom) or was he initially a baby? I believe YD wasn't reborn per se cos her memories were forcefully taken away from her and she was yeeted into the river by YY and so, couldn't remember how to use a lot of her power/spells in the mortal realm cos she didn't remember who she was but once she did, she essentially seems like the YD in heaven realm just on a visit to the mortal realm. Makes me think she aged while walking the Night Forgetting River not as a result of aging physically but maybe more of her not practicing her cultivation. So what happened to YY ? I get that YY would come to the mortal realm but without his great power or maybe part of it (as it would be difficult for other mortals to not see it) with his memories intact and he would just pop up in some lady's bath tub (like YD said LOL) and he would essentially just stay for a while and go back once he had completed his mission. But TZ confuses me :(

- YY makes when he is explaining the distance keeping bracelet to YD - he does this shooing motion with his hand and has this superior look on his face and lifts his lips in a certain way. - YD makes when the roof brick lands at her feet and she goes "Who is that?????" all ready to give them a good scolding and looks up to see it's actually YY.

I know it's done in Indian dramas and movies as well for similar reasons too. Some actors do not have the "right" kind of voice for the characters they're playing, or are from areas that cannot match the dialect or do not even speak the language :) When it's done well, it really enhances the character but when it isn't, it just goes out of sync completely. I've laughed out loud many times in situations that are meant to be serious cos the dubbing was bad/hilarious..

Maybe he got power hungry once he saw what the Jade artifact could do or so. Somehow I can’t see XY being evil per se from how the sword wraith talks about him. He wanted to make the Asuras great but RQ seems to have become important to him too. If HQ was alive in the time of XY maybe he was responsible for XY and RQ death?
