If a character cannot convince me he is in earnest or has the screen presence to make us believe then yeah... that's what the viewer will see.
I just laugh because if this is the case dramas will only be screened for actors to watch. Its up to the writer, director, actors and the whole package to make us believe in a story.

And gosh the character itself is pretty lame. So its the writer writing such lame lines as well

So at the end of episode 13- is this the most passion or earnestness that the ML can summon when he spoke to his brother? That is the best and most convincing he sounds?
