Eep. Let me gush a bit at discovering that Wang Xin Yue has a new drama. I guess I would watch it because he can act and he has made some good drama choices most of the time.
To be clear, he did NOT teach Foundation Tier 4. He reached Tier 4 of a Sword Manual.
Thanks. I have no clue as in why when he was cultivating. And he did use over 10 Foundation pills; why the sword manual was important in relation to cultivating.
Let me rephrase the cultivating part of this drama so far makes no sense. The seniors and masters have no role in mentoring. These random 4 persons who wanted to test did not stand out as being important or relevant in the earlier part of his sect journey. All the freaking masters have no relevance or wisdom to impart.
I have no clue what plot the drama is trying to impart. There has been no memorable relationships between characters. Even the FL just brushed aside all the junior disciples that died for her under her command. This is one weirdly written drama.
I will continue to watch because it doesn't have oomph but it also hasn't irritated me. However I cannot work out why its highly anticipated based on a popular novel when its so bland. The visuals and graphics are better than a low budget drama but the storytelling part up to ep 13 has been bafflingly shallow. Its not bad per se but absolutely shallow.
I'm on ep. 8. They simply chopped everything. Destroyed the original story and Han Li growth and character depth,…
I didn't read any spoilers so had no clue about harem.
He is progressing alright. He progressed to immortal status within 10 years. That why I said it was very fast. He entered the Maple Leaf clan and literally zipped through. All the other wuxia heros took years. He literally progressed in months.
Don't you guys think this guy has the easiest cultivation journey ever? I have watched enough wuxia dramas by now to realise this.
The drama's plot to the cultivation pathway is through herb based pills. Plus miraculously acquired martial arts skills.
The lead then coincidentally gets a bottle of magical moonlight that helps accelerate growth.
His trials benefits him.
The CGI is like Brawl Stars.
He went from Tier 1-3 then zips to 6. Then somehow gets to Tier 11. Manages to defeat the Tier 13 and above seniors. He is about the only cultivator in any drama who manages to an almost unlimited or 5-6x more than others to hit some mystical Foundation Tier 4.
I mean... what am I watching here? So why was the novel popular? I mean what's so good about the novel that it was popular? A whole string of coincidences is not good writing.
I've never seen a better case (since The Real has Come) for keeping weekenders to 36 episodes since this mess.…
It doesn't matter. What's why its a weekend drama. Otherwise it will be in a?different time slot. Its for the South Korean citizens. Have you not seen the Korean tv schedule as in have you been to S Korea? Its full of repeats in the daytime. So chill. Go watch your 36 episode dramas. All weekend dramas are full of unnecessary plot lines. Its just how badly its done.
She married on impulse. I mean the 3rd brother and things were not prepared. Of course they want a multi- generational family in a weekend drama. I really don't get you. This is why its a family drama. You don't get petty quarrels, family dinners when its a nuclear family set- up. It is then a 12, 16 or 24 episode drama about a couple. Then some family characters in that drama.
Weekend dramas love family meals. A lot of things happen in those meals. So there is no way you're going to get the single cup of coffee or juice scenes. No Korean samgyupsal and soju meals outside. No fried chicken and beer. Its the full on hanjeongsik style dinners.
So the samchon is going to date the hyeongsunim's step daughter. I didn't want to use the Korean word for stepdaughter. Its too hard and not usually use even in family dramas.
Sorry I had to snicker. If you remember what Gwang Sook called Kang Soo then add on what she calls Bom.
And the pregnancy. Hah! They went there.
What does he have? Surgery I mean. I couldn't read what it says.
So I started on ep 1 and finished ep 10.I know I was tired and things went over my head that I might have understood.…
And oh yeah I didn't understand the constant stream of random passing characters just to give him more artifacts. The reading, gems and pills in ep 9 totally went over my head. I didn't see the connection to ep 8.
I know I was tired and things went over my head that I might have understood. Can I clarify some things?
So its a wuxia vs xianxia but I have no clues whats the major cultivation rules
1. What false roots does he have that disqualified him?
2. Did I miss the Xing Tie dissapearing after he left the valley? He was there one minute and then he has been gone for over 4 episodes. Or was it more?
3. You know... I am used to the usual minor supporting characters. Do you or did you all find them? They are all missing from the usual cast.
4. The dubbing. Is it me or is it also softer? I know the dialogues are done in the studio after the filming but for some reason the audio is just terrible. Its muffled, zero background noise so all you hear is the softer muffled conversations from the characters.
5. Episode 2. My god. The camera work and angles are atrocious. What was with the 45 degree angled stream scene shots? Then the super close up of a minor character? Then the super fast drone camera.
6. I am not even going to talk about the CGI. That's the least of my comments.
7. Waterfalls. I normally don't even notice it in Chinese dramas but that waterfall that came out of dense jungle. Don't see a creek or river into the river? Or was it lake?
My geography was years ago. I've hiked a bit and along waterfalls and all. Was that a real waterfall or just plonked in?
8. Where was this filmed vs the usual Hengdian World Studios?
I am not even commenting on the plot, writing, CGI, lighting etc. I am just trying to like Han Li at present because I've watched some of Yang Yang's dramas several times so I recognise his expressions. I also happen to like the actress playing the FL. She can act. However I won't recognise anyone besides the Poison Girl from The Double.
This was filmed 2 years ago right? I went through the cast list 3 times just now. I am pretty sure I'd finish this drama as I heard that the novel and adaptation were successful therefore the writing or plot should be ok. However if the writing, acting and chemistry doesn't hold up it will be disappointing. I really want to find another good YY drama to watch.
This is when my real life collides with Korean drama life. Lol. This Kdrama mum wants her son to play in Yonsei university against Korea Uni. So of course I have to watch this... bad or good. It is so rare when rugby is not played that much in S Korea.
I am not that delusional. My pre-teen has already played almost 100 games. We couldn't actually find even recreational matches to watch on all our Korean trips. Thats how rarely or how few teams there are.
IMO, this part 2 is watchable but story is not as captivating and tight as part 1. A lot of happenings are like…
Ah. The actor playing the Crown Prince. I can't even recognise who it is in the cast list. Then I wondered what happened between him anf his wife. They were estranged after the baby but he looks like he is fond of her. He had other wives or was it concubine though.
I thought the spoilers said its the Moonshadow Core person?

I mean is Donghua like a name for " manhwa " or graphic comic? I am so bored I am going back to an ebook. No rush.

When does ep 12 come out on k**sh please? It says 1330hrs here and its 1hr later now at 1430.

Thanks again for the explanation. Couldn't work out why more is bad.
