Since you say this Iβm going to go ahead and watch right now with the bad subs for the fun of it. I usually…
I've just finished it. However if you really want to know what they say then I'd say wait. The subs are NOT usable. The names of the characters are translated as words.
I can actually understand Mandarin even though I'm not fluent so it doesn't bother me.
Look. The lines are CHEESY so cheesy I want to puke but if you're here for the romance think you better wait for the subs. There are 2 characters that made no sense which had some time in the last 4 episodes. Just to understand why they make no sense- you'll need subs for it.
Look. I just started ep 27 with the machine translation. This is a pretty drama with a weak script so I didn't think I'd miss anything important. Bad translation or not.
Can anyone tell me if you have seen this in another Cdrama before? Why the heck is Ming Tan referring to herself in the 3rd person? I felt like I was watching a Chinese version of an American version/potrayal of a dumb female. Her speech. Gosh. Its like its been lifted off a teenage romance novel. I was actually shocked it was so shallow. So rewatch this again and imagine a coquettish breathy female voice saying this in English. I already thought the plot was shallow but this takes the cake. I am not writing to whine. I posted because I laughed so hard I was wiping tears off.
Then when the " f** k " popped up on screen I lost it.
I haven't laughed so hard before at an episode for any drama. I forgot to even rewind to find out what Chinese word do you need to get a " fuck " word translation. And no it wasn't an intimate scene. I was fast forwarding at this point.
Add in the badly chereographed fight scenes where SWL does that the classic fighter stance of one knee down and one outstretched arm ?
O m g. ππππ
Then him trying to look intense and romantic?
Lordie. I think I am crying again. I am off to watch ep 28- 30 now just to get the ending.
I've never seen anything as funny as this in a long time.
I am not watching this and don't plan to. I just came to check the director of Good Boy. However now want to know…
Geez. Wow.
Ok. I am now definitely not even seeing the last episode. Don't get me wrong. I actually deal with trauma and people with forensic history at work. That's why I have zero interest in criminals because frankly, they don't get caught sometimes. And if they do they get very light sentences.
I am taking a breather. I started ep 1 on Wed and am now on ep 20. I presume ep 25- 30 will air this weekend.
I will stop after episode 30 and wait for ep 40 to air. Plus not come here and have accidental spoilers.
In summary, the male lead is clever but accidentally lucky? I still don't know why the 1st teacher decided to immolate himself as a sacrifice for the story. I don't see why Gao Ming is invested in Shinu.
Plus I thought this was a straightforward revenge drama but I suddenly have zombies.
There is no romance. I have no clue why Ziang Antu is suddenly interested in him romantically before the Ghost festival. And honestly? Mini gerberas 1600 years ago?
I still find it interesting and its been very smooth watching before I waited to start.
I now have to allocate time to finish off:
- Prisoner of Beauty. I stopped at ep 26. - Youthful Glory. Its brainless so I am just staring at intense Song Wei Long. I cannot even remember his character's name. He is not very charismatic as a character. The romance is insipid. Still watchable.
- The haunted palace. I have 4 episodes before this weekend. - the Kang Haneul drama. There is nothing new plot- wise from other dramas but I like KHN so brainlessly watching.
- the Eagle Brothers. I like the 1st couple and last couple and one always needs a weekend drama.
-Trying to find time because I heard its good. The new Park Boyoung drama.
What else did I miss? Any dramas to recommend? I mean I have nothing to watch after The Legend of Zang Hai ends next week. Then Prisoner of Beauty has ended- no spoilers please as I have kept away from the site to avoid knowing who died.
I usually have a mild romance drama on standby if I am really bored. There is that TCM Dr and the hotel staff romance. See? I watched it and still can't remember the name. I have to find the main actor- he's in many dramas then look at his film list. I am only rewatching that because he boils a lot of medicinal soups.
I can watch Xiao Zhan list the periodic table, do multiplications, recite the ingredient list for Chinese dessert so I am happy to see him. I watched the female actress last drama. Was it Blossom? The one where she was the granddaughter. The drama was fine. The main lead was meh.
I've been very distracted by the long sleeves on the men. I keep thinking Zang Hai was either going to set himself on fire with those sleeves, dirty his top on the roof or something.
I really want to know why the writer spent so much time on the story on the Gui Seal. This is not a fantasy drama is it? I just scrolled up. However this has been a revenge drama that is not dealing with actual revenge. Yet.
I keep waiting for some big or unexpected plot reveal. I don't even know if Xiang Antu is sneaking off from the palace or how she is able to spend so much time in Zhen Tower.
I just started Be Passionately in Love.
I think you should start it. Then rewatching The Best Thing.
Destressing from work stress. Clears my brain.
Oh you mean what's those dramas are about? Er... romance?

This is so not my type of drama so don't plan to watch it no matter how good it is.
Dokgo Tak is just a harmless schoolyard bully pest.
I also haven't watched the 2 dramas you mentioned. Will check it out. Thanks.
I also don't read Chinese. Thanks for that.
I remembered that she bought it. However I don't know whether she needed to still return as a Princess as a hostage?
Either way... I have working since I posted and won't have time now to see it tonight as I will be back late. I will see what happens.
I am not organised enough to categorised the 3 actual killers vs the 3 masterminds.
I will stop after episode 30 and wait for ep 40 to air. Plus not come here and have accidental spoilers.

What's different? Is it because of good acting? And that its not OTT.
I am actually enjoying watching the schemes unravel.
The evil characters are so full of schemes that's its interesting to watch.
I am definitely not watching it now until ep 36 airs. I stopped at ep 29. This drama is better if I watch about 10 episodes at a time.
