Crikey mikey. I just finished ep 1. I actually did a pulse check at the end. I don't know what all the whining was about. Its episode 1. Were we watching the same drama? That wae a strong ep 1. I am heading to ep 2 then bed.

Jeepers. That's some directing. I wondered how much of the script was written when they put it up for casting offers. No wonder the cast is so strong. That discus throw was epic. The budget must be big as the production is throwing around or destroying a lot of expensive props.

And oh yeah I've never seen PBG show so much legs before. Is it all in darkness? What physical roles has he done before?

Not me. I am in a holding pattern over at ep 6. The comments don't make it promising. Its hard to continue a drama where there are continuous comments about the FL pretending and now hating the ML for so long.

Its highly unlikely I would continue except to watch the last episode.

She normally wouldn’t. That's why this drama has nevef been logical.

If you're so rule bound then the logic in this drama isn't for you. She was throwing alcohol everywhere and she didn't tell her family. So what's one more moonlit walk.

If they thought they'd know in 1 minute then let them leave. Otherwise you'll hear whining if its not perfect.

Done. My advice to new viewers is not to read any spoilers and just marathon.

I did ep 1- 28. Waited a week then ep 28- 40.

I gave it a 9. That is because a 40 episode drama that knows how to tell a logical story deserves it.

Directing. Acting. Background. Costumes. Lighting and music are all 8.5.

The acting part scores highest. The writing was 2nd.

I am a very picky viewer who actually dislikes historical drama and watch mainly romance dramas. Yet I gave this a 9.

I am about to start ep 36. Its still going strong. I am expecting things to go to pieces writing wise but its not. I am almost holding my breath because its been a very long time since I've enjoyed a drama that much.

The suspence is killing me because I really did stay away from spoilers.

I waited for it to finish and had the free time to appreciate some tension. I also stayed away from here and spoilers so I don't know what happened.

So here I am in ep 30 where the Queen is in the tunnel and I had to pause. Shesh. I marathoned ep 1-28 in one hit and thought it was very good. I restarted from ep 28 and still think its very good.

How is it possible for a drama to be this consistent?

Yes. He sold his apartment. She is not even with his daughter.

Are you sure Ahn Jae Wook is not going to injure himself for ep 39?

I just want to laugh. Like honestly. I have been on MDL the last 2 days talking about Liu Hao Cun and you know what.

And since I just finished Youthful Glory and Be Passionately in Love guess I am here for the action

The action and writing better be worth it.

It was the abruptness. It went from the King going for a walk in the market to boom the leads having dinner with the daughter.

The camera usually does a pan out or a drone shot. With maybe a line on the screen. Then pan in to the scene.

The screen went from market. Then zoom; close up of the dinner.

Now that's abrupt. Its called bad directing. 6 year time lapse is not the issue. The issue is bad editing.

I watched ep 14-16. I literally cannot remember who Lady Inseon is. I watched it about 4 weeks ago and stopped.

Then you guys were speculating after the talisman and I repeated the market scene 3 times with the King and Gangcheol.

I cannot see where you guys saw the romance.

I also think that was one of the most abrupt out of place time lapse EVER. How did the director go from the market place to a 5 year old girl. That's a 6 year time leap.

What a crazy drama. You guys make me take too much notice now of the 2 leads expresssion. Bo Na does suit the suffering Joseon lady look. She should be a Queen. Or mistreated daughter in law. Or a victim of a framed crime or something.

Don't know what that means but I'd agree with you. In which case I would say " wow" in slightly horrified tones about the stylist taste. Or costume designer.

I am on episode 3. So the ML's flashbacks are flashbacks? And Li Qing Yue is a reincarnation or mortal reincarnation of Hua Ru Yue?

I mean... its a xianxia so all logic flies out of the window.

So Hua Ru Yue then reincarnates for the 2nd time and remembers her original name and personality? Hence the revenge because the romance went wrong the 1st time.

I still think this drama was filmed more than 3 years ago as the costumes looks dated like the Cdramas I watched a few years ago. Although the Esther Yu drama last year had those same sleeves. These pesky dangly bits.
