When was this drama filmed? That's became Qing Yue's current costume looks so dated. I've never seen Bai Lu look short and dumpy before. She has been so slim, willowly and glamourous in her other dramas.
Plus Chen Xin Hai and Liang Yong Qi are in the predictable secondary roles. For some reason he always looks so discontented and grouchy. Not very lovable. I never had any issues not supoorting him.
Er I dropped it after the Queen was pregnant and she got better.
Then I put it on hold intending to marathon it but its now looking unlikely.
Is anyone able to summarise- no I don't need the full story- I just want clarification about what happened to the Queen/ how it happened, Yoon Gap vs what happened to Gang Cheol, did the King die or what and what apology ceremony?
Notice I didn't even ask about the romance. I guess I am deciding whether to watch ep 16.
And yes no spoiler comments about the personal guard. Like I read hints but no one actually said anything about the personal guard.
I am going to have to look for a Korean romance drama to watch now in June. This was my May pick. I ended up only watching The Eagle Brothers in May. Even the Tastefully Yours was disappointing so I dropped that too.
Ehm I just want the ending. What happened in the end please? I dropped this after ep 5 and popped by the last…
Side note after all the Liu Hao Cun comments and Western viewers expectations?
I'm an East Asian with very conservative values. Don't swear and actually don't expect wild bed scenes. So haven't been clamouring for hot steamy French kisses in any dramas.
However I do and have been fine with good kissing scenes that have been filmed well. Not too far. Not cold fish lips meetings for contact for 5 sec. Then mash for 5 sec.
So things can be done well. And tastefully. HOWEVER there are good actresses around in Cdramas. And good actresses who do kiss. Whether passionately or not.
LHC is 25. She obviously likes acting and shouldn't have tested the waters if she is not ready for a drama which based itself on a source material which potrays skinship in the relationship. Pick another drama.
However talking about the drama itself I actually dropped it because of the script. There were too many weird mind games or rather manipulative thoughts from both main characters. That's why I dropped it. Look, some of my favourite K and C dramas have almost no lip kissing scenes anyway. So I won't die without it. However I like a story that makes sense and so if a kiss scene is called for; I want it done well. I don't need gratituous sex or those comments calling for French kissing. I have seen these sort of comments in other threads. It made me cringe. That's why I don't watch Western shows.
Come on. This is a Cdrama. However " Be Passionately In Love" says it all.
Ehm I just want the ending. What happened in the end please? I dropped this after ep 5 and popped by the last few days. I started episode 1 about 3 days ago.
I kept reading so many comments about the lack of skinship that I just can't find the actual comments about episode 24.
May I know please? Yes I am that viewer. I want to know so I can never be tempted to watch it.
I am actually in an extremely mellow mood. I wanted to watch a romance series so that's why I picked Be Passionately In Love. After all the title looked promising. Long story short after episode 5 I went to rewatch The Best Thing. Now you guys know that series had too many kisses. So that's why I am in a mellow mood. I am now on ep 25 of 28. I will probably finish it today. Then will go back to ep 28 of The Legend of Xiao Zhan.
Wan An Yu does act well and can kiss. The Song Wei Long drama was a bust in May. But overall since I did watch The Prisoner of Beauty as well. May has been a very good month because some of my favourite actors were in May dramas.
I can't recall complain after seeing all of them in the last few days. No one to watch now in June. Yes I haven't picked up anything new in June
This is crazy. We get sex innuendos but no kiss scenes!??
Be like me. I stopped at ep 5. I started a couple of days ago. Got fed up reading about the fake kiss and its hard to like both characters. I don't want mind games.
I am on ep 8 this morning now on The Best Thing. I am rewatching it because its soothing and I want something to make me smile.
I am commenting because that drama has like 50 kissing scenes or something like that. I remember that I was a bit shocked at how many times they kissed in that drama. I recommend you watch it. Its put me in a good mood. They haven't even started yet in episode 8 but the interactions have been so natural. I really dislike seeing all the mind game in this drama- be passionately in love.
The brothers not really involved anymore much after the trip
Thanks. Its not the acting that bothers me. Its the writing. If I drop this drama it'd be because the script is that bad. However I really, really want to watch a Wang An Yu drama.
I can't get over the comment below that stated that the novel was like 90,% skinship. Lol.
The brothers not really involved anymore much after the trip
Oh good. I have scrolled down to read the comments about the fake kiss and her behaviour.
I am going to finish ep 3- 5 then going back to finish off The Legend of Zang Hai ep 28- 40 then 8 episodes of The Prisoner of Beauty.
Then check out the web dramas. And if nothing else captures my interest even after rewatching The Best Thing.... then I'd come back. I really do like Wang An Yu. He has been on better dramas that I'd be happy to rewatch.
I am on episode 3. Can you guys tell me if the brother will improve because I currently can't stand bratty behaviour. I have children his age and its hard to ignore such behaviour and no adults parenting him.
The other issue is the inner monologue. Does it continue?
There is NOTHING wrong with the acting however its coming off as being very pretentious. I want to continue as I do like the male lead or the actor a lot but the drama is turning me off.
Does it get better? Because it has weird vibes and I do watch a few getting to adult dramas, youth romance and what- not. Its up to ep 17 currently and its a 24 episode drama.
Everyone has different taste and I don't feel compelled to like or dislike it.
This post is asking about the brat. And my god I have seen plenty of entitled brats doing the same thing in real life. The monologue- which highlights the immaturity, the pretentious vibe- the writer trying to be clever, the burgeoning romance- currently I feel both of them are odd/ weird motivations towards liking each other, disturbing attitude from the adoptive grandmother/father- disturbing psychological and physical abuse and causing emotional stunting.
So yes, I am on episode 3 and I am wondering what the heck am I doing encountering these when I thought I was just watching a high school to uni romance. Its not even the usual obstacles. And oh yeah I can't stand both their besties.
Its the ribbons on her cuffs. The costumes on the ML and all the same coloured red outfits without any embroidery on them.
The Nine Heavens guards or lower deity/soldiers look horrendous.
That's why I asked when this was filmed.
The wirework or rather the injuries on Xing Yue are very odd.
Plus Chen Xin Hai and Liang Yong Qi are in the predictable secondary roles. For some reason he always looks so discontented and grouchy. Not very lovable. I never had any issues not supoorting him.
I have finished The Best Thing this morning and heading for Xiao Zhan in TLoZH. So I literally cannot be in a bad mood
It sounds like those fantasy romance ebook by some wannabe authors.
I genuinely thank you for these details. I think this might honestly have surprised me. I thought I had become used to all Cdrama plots.
Apparently not.
I am watching ep 1 then putting it on hold until more episode airs like 18 episodes.
Who are you expecting to fall in love?
Not even in real life. This is not proper logic or a feasible point.
Then I put it on hold intending to marathon it but its now looking unlikely.

Oh that's so funny.
What's her story? Does she love acting but doesn't like the romance genre?
Is she the sole breadwinner of her family or does she have a nasty agency or something?
What has she said in her interviews?
I am on ep 8 this morning now on The Best Thing. I am rewatching it because its soothing and I want something to make me smile.

Then you sell off the episodes to another station to earn more money.
