Its a 40 episode drama. The ML having an epiphany in ep 19 is about when most dramas hits an important section where the romance should culminate in a declaration.

Technically the writer would have done well if they wrote a good solid 2nd ML. So you guys are bagging the writer or the male lead?

Isn't that what a writer should do? You and I know that no drama is complete without angst and a 2nd lead.

However its bad enough that I have to pause and take a few days until I can face the fallout. Its bad if he becomes vindictive. Its bad if he is sad. Its bad if she recovers her memory and rejects Lu Chang.

Either way its bad from ep 21 onward with the Prince Yu, the father, the amnesia, for Xing Zhao.

The girls except for the female lead has very, very heavy foundation and eyelashes make up. Honestly man. I can tell she has plastic surgery. The problem isn't the surgery, it's the MDL photos for the actress.

I swear the whole Reply, Hospital Playlist and now Resident Playbook write really nice characters. I have been having so much in gushy obsession over various characters there than in other dramas.

I was pretty much dying over the 2ML An Chil Hong and his backstory in S1. Then there was no one in particular in S2. I think it was the 3rd couple- the Ob Gyn couple.

The other characters are nice in Resident Playbook. Personable, has depth to their character but some just ooze screen presence. That's Jung Jun Won. I hope he has a good ending story by ep 12. I am unsure if I can support yet another season of the Hospital franchise. I've already rewatched 3 meals a day: doctors several times.

Also Ham Jong Won is listed as a guest role and not even a secondary casting. The episode was almost 1hr+. He really does have only 5 minutes or so alone time with her. He doesn't even make it to the 2nd lead. He is a colleague passing by. They had another anaesthetic doctor in the earlier episode.

Also, a 2nd male lead has to actually pursue the girl or stay within her circle to spend time with her. Ham Jonn Won- can't even remember his full name- hasn't.

This is a better translation than the other MV with the Hangul romanisation. I only went searching for it yesterday after I noticed the lyrics. I just thought it was a nice song until it came on yesterday and in episode 6.

Kyah. I just rewatched the dinner scene from the residents lounge till the preview. It was after 1am today.

That was some masterful directing. So much on point with the timing. Ku Do Won didn't even think it was odd he even thought it was ok to6 hug her in public. He asked if it was ok, not that he was going to refuse.

Then when he turned his head to look at her after the alarm and his heart was in his eyes. My god. I swooned all over again this morning. Gosh, one thing the whole franchise excel at is at casting. If I could do cartwheels I would.

Did you guys notice when the OST 6 soundtrack cuts in? That wasn't the first few lines of the song by the way. I haven't paid attention to the lyrics until last night. Then I went back to the ending of ep 6 and caught it again. I was mad over the songs in the Reply 1997.

What the Reply and Playlist franchise did so well is putting the OSTs in at the correct moment. I am sure a lot of you know that the lyrics in a lot of Kdramas are as good as the drama lines right?

Ok. I am a happy viewer this morning. I am content to wait till next weekend. Ku Doo Won is not even the standard 180cm chiseled features Korean drama lead like in most other Kdramas but by golly he just oozes charisma and charm. Pity I have never seen a senior resident as charming in real life.

Resident Playlist has finally settled into the groove from episode 4. It took awhile but its definitely picked up the rhythm. I would rewatch this just for the cameos and Ku Do Won alone. I am pretty much in love with his voice and personality at present. And oh the actor too. He looks so young. He was 35 years old at that time right? He looks really good.

Excuse the gushy post. It might be the first one this year. No other drama character except The Love Scout has made my heart skip a beat this year.

Its better. I dissected episode 1 because it was actually totally not like HP.

The cameos alone are fantastic and worth continuing. The cameos are SERIOUSLY good. They integrated them into the story. The couples in HP are there. My heart hasn't quite recovered from seeing An Chi Hong and Lee Ik Sun. I didn't realise how much I miss them. I seriously missed them.

Episodes wise- the writing improved. Grew tighter. The acting and directing has always been there but the writing improved a lot. Episodes 7 and 8 are comparably as good as Hospital Playlist.

The only thing currently that is irritating me slightly are the Netflix subs. Missing or changed words here and there. The scenes and dialogues are so much more natural if you can understand Korean.

The 2ML only had like a 5 minute screen time with her. Not enough for you to be so upset.

Ep 8 is a good episode. Episode 9 should be the clincher based on the ending for ep 8.

The romance is on. Didn't you see her smirk? When he said the in laws were going away. A guy wouldn't say it if he wasn't involved. And she wouldn't look like the cat that got into the cream otherwise.

Jung Jun Won is amazing. He expresses so well with just the tiniest voice tone change, posture and his eyes. My God.
